LIM - Balloons/ ATCAS - Wish/ ATSM - Make Your Mark

Hello and happy Tuesday(or Wednesday :))!

Today I have three cards to share with you.
It's been long since I played along at Less is More challenge last time. This week I'm trying to join in my favorite challenges again. The recipe at Less is More #313 (Balloons) gave me a chance to use this adorable stamp by Penny Black, which I purchased a while back but haven't used yet.

I stamped the doggy with a balloon in black Memento ink on a white card stock and colored it using Copic markers. The doggy was colored after the favorite fluffy doggy of my daughter. And pink is her favorite color :). The sentiment in black is from Clearly Besotted. I cut out the middle part of the panel to show the cloudy sky on the card base, which I made by blending some blue DIs on a cloud mask. For more shine I added Shimmer Pico on the balloon and the nose of the doggy. I finished off the card with two enamel dots.

Next two cards were made after watching some of video tutorials by Kelly Latevola. I love her colorful and bold style and the dimension she creates on her one layer card.
The stamp is Flower Cascade by Penny Black.

This card is a one layer card in Kelly's style. I created the background after masking the image by blending DIs in rainbow colors and adding splatters of clear water and white ink. Coloring was done with Copic markers. I added gray shades along the outlines and some white accents here and there using a white gel pen. The sentiment from Penny Black was stamped in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed. I added white outline to it. The flowers got a coat of Wink of Stella.

The last card is for the Addicted to CAS #103: WISH.

The flower cascade was done like the previous card. But for a CAS look I cut out the image and foam mounted it on a white card base. I then took a circle sentiment from SimonSaysStamp and stamped it three times in ombre gray shades. The die cut wishing is also from SSS. I cut it out from a piece of white cardstock on which I blended DIs in rainbow colors. I cut a same sentiment from a yellow fun foam to add it under my die cut sentiment for some dimension.

I'm happy with how they turned out. I want to say thank you to Kelly for her fabulous video tutorials!!!

I want to enter my second card into Addicted to Stamps and More #227: Make Your Mark and the last one into SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Thank you

Hello everyone!
Hope you are having a restful weekend so far.

I've made a card for Altenew January Inspiration Challenge again. This time I was inspired by the picture Yoonsun chose for us and tried to create a similar scene. The idea of coloring in white on dark background came from one of my previous cards.

I used well loved Best Mom stamp for this card.

I started off by making the background. I blended various DIs in brown shades on a watercolor paper and stamped the floral stamp twice with clear water and splattered water droplets. I then gold heat embossed the Best Mom stamp and lifted the colors in the image with clear water and paper towel. I colored the image using white acrylic paint and gold from Fine Tec. I added darker shades around the image using Copic markers. I gold heat embossed the right edge, trimmed down a bit and mounted the panel with fun foam on the cream card base.
The sentiment is from Magnolias for Her. I stamped it on white cardstock in brown and added gold heat embossed strip of paper underneath. To finish off I added some gold dots using Pico embellisher as stamen and scattered a few sequins.

In close up picture you can see the shine of the gold watercolor of Fine Tec!

I'll enter this into Addicted to Stamps and More #226 and SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme of both challenges is Anything Goes.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Hello

Hello all!

Today I have a card to share with you which I made with the sketch of the CAS(E) this Sketch #206 in mind. Leigh's sketch is simple and lovely! It feels so good to participate in my favorite challenges again :).

I started by making a cutting file for the rose image. The rose is by Hero Arts. I combined the rose and the shape of the front panel and cut it from a textured white cardstock with my Cricut. I placed the panel on a Bristol smooth paper in A2 size and aligned the stamp on the cut out part of the front panel and stamped it in soft pink and light green on the Bristol paper. Coloring was done with Altenew alcohol markers and Polychromos colored pencils. I blended Soft Garden dye ink on the bottom edge of the Bristol paper panel before coloring. The colored panel was stuck on the card base and the front panel was foam mounted on it. The sentiment was stamped in black and I added a tiny red rhinestone on the start point of the sentiment.

I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
I'll enter this into SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes as well.

Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
TaeEun

You are Incredible

Hello again!

Sorry for a new post today, but I managed to make one more card I want to share with you :).

As I saw the sketch at CTS I wanted to make a card with the main panel mounted on the card base and other border panels stacking on this. So I made cutting files for those panels first. But I couldn't go further, as no idea popped in my mind that I liked.
Today when I saw the inspiration picture at Altenew blog, I decided to combine these two challenges. So the colors came from the inspiration picture and I used the Persian Motifs by Altenew for my main image and sentiment.

I started off by cutting the panels with my Cricut. I then stamped the images on the panels with the help of Misti tool in embossing ink and heat embossed them in gold. I colored the image on the main panel in various gold shades using Fine Tec Pearl colors. After I foam mounted all the panels I stamped the sentiment in black. To finish off I added some dots in gold and scattered some sequins.

I'm entering this card into Addicted to Stamps and More #226 and SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge as well. They have Anything Goes challenges this week :).

Thank you so much for coming!
Have a wonderful one!

A Camellia flower in Blue and Yellow

Hello all!

Today I have a card with a hand drawn camellia flower to share.
Camellia is one of my favorite flowers. I love neatly organized petals of that flower family.
With a childhood memory of a camellia tree we had, I love actually soft pink camellia.
But to follow the theme of The Flower Challenge this month I chose blue and yellow for my camellia :).

I sketched a camellia flower and leaves on kraft card stock and colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. I then added golden lines on right and bottom edges and splattered some gold ink. But the edges were too dark and brown for me. So I decided to heat emboss the edges in gold.
The sentiment is from Penny black. First I heat embossed it in gold and again slightly offset in white.
And I added some white dots on the leaves.

Maybe it's the bad weather here that makes me feel the card is too dark. This card has been on my desk for a few days but no idea pops in my mind how to brighten it. So I decided to leave it as it is :).

I want to link this up at Addicted to Stamps and More #226 and SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge too, as the theme of both challenges is Anything Goes.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Be careful not to catch a cold!

Seize the Birthday - Dashes and Doodling

Hello everyone!
A new challenge is waiting for you over at Seize the Birthday

For the next fortnight we have a Toppings option of Dashes and Doodling! I think you can let your creativity play for this Toppings option! Of course you can link up any newly created birthday card, if you are not a toppings kinda person.

I've created a quite a simple card which was quick to make.

I dripped Watermelon and Poppy Field alcohol ink on A2 sized Yupo paper, let it dry and doodled the flower centers, the stems and leaves using Sharpie markers. The sentiment is from the Party Fans stamp set from The Ton. I heat embossed it in Liquid Platinum. You should go over very fast with the heat tool, when you heat emboss something on Yupo paper, as it warps very easily. I mounted the panel flat on my card base and so finished off my card.

Now it's your turn to create birthday cards with or without dashes and doodling!
Please hop over to the Seize the Birthday blog for more inspirations from my fellow DT members and our Surprise party guest Rahmat Gouse!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Happy crafting!

Today we are celebrating our new Release with amazing guest designers in this blog hop.

For today's event I've created two cards!

I used a part of the Thoughtful poppies stamp set to make a circled arrangement of poppies around my big sentiment. I stamped this cluster of three poppies in Caviar Hybrid ink twice to do that. I colored the poppies using Copic markers and added gray shade around the flowers. I then cut out the center part using Double Stitched Circle die. The Sentiment is from The New Pretty stamp set. I gold heat embossed it on a black cardstock and die cut it with the next smaller Double Stitched Circle die. I took a black card base on which I stamped the Freestyle Stripes stamp in Hampton White Pigment ink, glued a piece of dark red cardstock on the right side and assembled the colored panel and sentiment as shown in the picture using some foam adhesive. I added some white dots to the center of two poppies and left the card without any embellishment.

My second card is made with the Dahlia Close Up rubber cling stamp.

I started off by clear heat embossing the Dahlia Close Up on a watercolor cardstock. I then blended pink to violet Distress inks to lift the colors off the image later using paintbrush and clear water. I lifted the colors from ends of petals and added more shades to the inner part of the petals using gray Copic markers to give them more dimension. I then coated the entire panel with clear Wink of Stella. For a camouflaging sentiment I die cut the happy from our Birthday Word dies out of the colored panel and once again from a purple foam. I mounted the panel to the card base then the purple foam and die cut happy to the place and added the BIRTHDAY from the Oscar stamp set which I white heat embossed on some purple cardstock. To finish off I scattered a few sequins from Disco Spring Couture Mix.

ALL NEW RELEASE ITEMS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN THE SHOP!!!

Let's take a look at my cards for today!

For my first card I made a scene using Scenes: Fountain Terrace rubber cling stamp.

I used only the upper part of the Scenes: Fountain Terrace background to make place for the airplane from City Girls Park Life stamp set. I stamped the Fountain Terrace in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake on Yupo paper and applied alcohol ink in the images by dripping the ink and tilting the paper. I used Citrus, Botanical, Aqua, Pool, Slate and Snow Cap alcohol ink. For the sky I swiped a felt applicator with Aqua, Snow Cap alcohol ink and blending solution. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the scene again in embossing ink and heat embossed it in Liquid Platinum embossing powder with the help of Misti. The airplane and the banner form City Girls Park Life were heat embossed in silver on a shimmery silver cardstock and fussy cut before I foam mounted it in the sky. The sentiment is from the City Girls Park Life stamp set as well. I stamped it in Noir dye ink. To finish off the card I added some Crystal Stickles on the heart of the fountain.

Do you need some inspiration for Valentine's day? How about this?

To start off I stamped the couple from City Girls Special Day stamp set on a white cardstock in Caviar Hybrid ink. I stamped the mirror image of the boy using a solid rubber stamp. After masking the twosome I stamped the little rose from the Born Classy stamp set in Red Sangria Hybrid ink and masked it. After that I stamped the bench and the balloons from City Girls Park Life in Caviar Hybrid ink and the heart shaped balloon from the City Girls Special Day in Red Sangria Hybrid ink. I then blended Soft Garnet on the upper end and Soft Garden  on the bottom end of the panel. I colored the images using Copic markers. The sentiment is from Brushed You stamp set. I silver heat embossed the small I LOVE on the heart balloon and stamped the big you in Crystal Pewter and then slightly offset in embossing ink to heat emboss it in silver. I drew both ends of the scripty "you" on the card base using Embossing pen and silver heat embossed it as well to make the sentiment go through the entire card. I trimmed the front panel slightly down and foam mounted it on the card base and added Glossy Accents on the heart balloon.
