Hello and Welcome to The Ton's 2016 Fall Release Day 4 !
All our new stamps, dies and Couture Mixes are now available in our Shop !!!
My first card was made with the beautiful
Holiday Border Cling background stamp. This is 4.5 by 5.75 inch in size. So it fits perfectly on a A2 sized card.
I decided to use alcohol inks as my coloring medium for this card. As the entire image is filled with so many details, I didn't color it after heat embossing as I usually do. This time I stamped the
Holiday Border on a glossy cardstock in
Lemon Drop dye ink and then applied the alcohol inks (Watermelon, Poppyfield, Butterscotch and Citrus) on the image and tilted the cardstock to move the ink. Interestingly the stamped lines could keep the alcohol ink inside, not as good as heat embossed lines but it worked pretty well! Only a few areas show some alcohol ink outside the lines as you can see. After the alcohol ink was completely dry I inked up the
Holiday Border stamp with an embossing ink and stamped it again with the help of Misti to heat emboss it in gold.
The Sentiment is from the
Mistletoe Kisses stamp set and was stamped in our
Noir dye ink. For some more dimension I added white Pico Embellisher on the berries of Mistletoes.
Now to my second card which showcases the
Brushed Merry, Christmas Poinsettia Mini and the
Coord. Outlines: Holiday Cones stamp sets.
I started off by stamping the bold
Brushed Merry sentiment on a white cardstock in
Noir dye ink and cut it out from the panel using a cutting machine. I then stamped the layered small poinsettias from the Christmas Poinsettia Mini stamp set in
Lipstick Red and
Valentine Red dye ink, the leaves in
Soft Garden and
Bright Fern dye ink after masking the poinsettia. The pine needles from the
Coord. Outlines: Holiday Cones stamp set was randomly stamped in ombre look using
Soft Garden,
Bright Fern and
Deep Emerald dye inks on the panel.
The sparkle on the sentiment and on the borders were achieved by our
Holo Silver Adhesive Foil paper which I adhered on the card base. I think it gives the card quite festive look! After I foam mounted the front panel, I finished off the card by adding a bit of Stickles on the center of the mini poinsettias.
"Christmas" will find its place inside of the card :)!
I have two more cards to share with you today, for which I used our new
Poinsettia Garden rubber cling background stamp.
This is my third card!
To start off I made a yellow-pink panel blended with our
Lemon Drop,
Peach Blossom,
Hollywood Star and
Grand Fuchsia dye inks. I then stamped the
Poinsettia Garden Background using an embossing ink and clear heat embossed it. To show up the image I blended again the same inks and
Lipstick Red dye ink on the clear heat embossed panel. I stamped the
Poinsettia Garden Background stamp on my kraft card base as well using our
Hampton White pigment ink.
I trimmed the front panel, gold heat embossed the side edges and the sentiment from the
Scripty Holiday Greetings stamp set. I then adhered the panel on the card base using some foam adhesive. I added thin strips of our
Gold Adhesive glitter paper on the card base along the side borders of the front panel.
The gold heat embossed vellum poinsettias and candle are from the
Coord. Outlines: Fresh Cut Garden Poinsettias stamp set. I added some yellow dots of Pico Embellisher and some crystal Stickles on them.
To finish off I scattered a few sequins from our new
Santa's Sneezes Couture Mix.
Now to my last card for the Day 4!
For this card I played with alcohol inks again :)! To start off, I stamped the
Poinsettia Garden rubber cling background stamp on my glossy cardstock in our
Vanilla Frosted Cupcake dye ink. I wanted a very light color to use the image as my guide while coloring using alcohol inks, so I could know where I should go with which color. I then started with coloring. I used quite a few colors of alcohol inks: Purple Twillight, Wild Plum, Raspberry, Shell Pink, Butterscotch, Lemonade, Citrus, Pesto, Pool and Aqua. I colored the poinsettias in pink ~ purple, pine cones and needles in brown~ green and filled the rest with light pink and blue tone. After the alcohol inks were all dried, I stamped the
Poinsettia Garden background stamp again using an embossing ink and heat embossed it in opaque white. I then prepared my card base with some
purple Adhesive Glitter paper. The front panel was cut in an angle, matted by some purple cardstock and foam mounted on the card base. The sentiment from the
Scripty Holiday Greetings stamp set was stamped in our
Grape Crush dye ink on a piece of white cardstock, layered with the same purple cardstock and adhered on the front panel. To finish off I added sprinkles of sequins from our
Royal Garden Party Couture Mix.
