Addicted to Coloring - The Ton

Hello and Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a restful weekend! 

Today I have a card to share with you which I made for the Altenew November Inspiration Challenge.

This is a CASE of my own card I made in January. It's hard to believe that it's almost a year ago when I made that card. 

With this design in mind I made a new cutting file of the doodled frame slightly thicker than the old one to make it easier to cut with my Cricut. I cut it three times from a white card stock, stack them together and heat embossed it in white pearl EP.  The flower arrangement was made with the Beautiful Day stamp from Altenew. I stamped the outline image and the second layer stamp using various Distress inks and colored them with a water brush. To color the big flower I followed the directions of Marika Rahtu showed on her video tutorial for this card. I'm sure you all already know how amazingly talented she is :). I drew the stamen with some glitter pens and added shine on the big flower using clear Wink of Stella.

For the background I blended yellow and green Distress inks on a piece of water color card stock and splattered clear water and inks in the same color. I assembled my card as shown in pictures and added the sentiment from Basic Labels from The Ton in Everglade Moss dye ink with some foam adhesive.
To finish off I added some clear sequins.

So Suzy Stamps & The Ton Collaboration HOP

Hello and happy Monday! 

The Ton Stamps and So Suzy Stamps are starting a fun Collaboration blog hop today! 

This is a fun collaboration between The Ton and So Suzy Stamps to showcase the styles of both stamp companies and the versatility of the designs of each. So Suzy Stamps' stamps are famous for their beautiful delicate swirls and it works so well with The Ton's floral images! For today's Collaboration Hop I've chosen some silhouette images from So Suzy Stamps as my theme and made four cards using them. 

Let's get started!

For my first card I used Folk Art Florals background stamp from The Ton and In Love and Celebrate stamps from So Suzy Stamps. I started off by heat embossing the In Love image in gold on some water color card stock. I then masked it to clear heat emboss the Folk Art Florals background on the same panel. I applied masking fluid on the dress and shirt of the pair to keep them in white and then colored the panel using Color Burst (Orchid, Fuchsia and Chartreuse) and pearlized water mist. After the panel was dry, I rubbed off the masking fluid and added some Wedding Dress Pico Embellisher on the dress and the shirt to give them more shine and some dimension. The sentiment Celebrate was stamped in Plum Wine on a white banner. To assemble my card I added a strip of purple Glitter tape on the left edge of my A2 top folding card base, before I mounted the front panel using some foam adhesive. To finish off I scattered a few clear sequins from Glass Slippers Sequins and rounded two right corners.

The second card is featuring Large Peony 1 from The Ton and Dancing Fairy and Be from So Suzy Stamps. To start off I stamped the Dancing Fairy onto the center of an A2 sized Bristol smooth paper panel in Noir Dye ink and clear heat embossed it.  I then stamped the Large Peony 1 in Soft Garnet, Coralline Hybrid and Grand Fuchsia using darker color to the center and again using embossing ink to clear heat emboss it. I colored the peony with Zig markers and added some shade of green and gray around the peony and neon yellow to the fairy. For the sentiment I inked up only the Be from the Be stamp in embossing ink and heat embossed it in gold. "what you want to be" was stamped in Plum Wine on a thin strip of white card stock and mounted on the card using foam adhesive. I added some sequins from I Dream in Peach Couture Mix as finishing touch.

For my last two cards I used the beautiful Holiday Border Cling background stamp from The Ton and the delicate silhouette image of Santa's Sleigh from So Suzy Stamps.

For this card I tried "white on kraft". I think the white embossed Holiday Border background on the kraft card base is simple yet shows festive holiday feeling on a snowy winter day. I filled the berries using white Pico Embellisher and added sparkle on poinsettias and pine cones with clear Wink of Stella. I then masked the image of Holiday Border background and stamped the Santa's Sleigh in Noir Dye ink. I borrowed the banner from the Thankful Cornucopia stamp set, which I white heat embossed on some red card stock and cut using the coordinating die. I white heat embossed the sentiment from Christmas Poinsettia Mini on the banner and foam mounted it on the card. To finish off I colored the noses of reindeers in red using red glaze pen.

On my last card I colored the image of Holiday Border Cling background stamp using Prismacolor colored pencils, before I heat embossed it in white. The sentiment on the gold heat embossed banner was stamped in Pink Derby.

Seize the Birthday - Presents

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far! 

Today is Thursday and we have a new challenge starting today over at Seize the Birthday! 

Our Topping option for the next two weeks is Presents! As always you can choose the Anything Goes Birthday. Just remember to keep it a birthday theme! 

I've created a CAS birthday card with the Topping! 

I used the Beautiful Bow stamp set by AveryElle to create my wrapped present. I took a piece of pink patterned paper with tiny polka dot pattern, cut it in a squre and silver heat embossed the bow and ribbon on it. For the background I dry embossed a A2 sized white cardstock using a 3D embossing folder by Spellbinders and adhered it flat on my card base. The present was foam mounted onto the card, after I added some shade in Picked Raspberry DI on the edges. I then stamped the tag and the sentiment, fussy cut it and glued it on the present. To finish off my card I added two pink rhinestones on the tag.

Cosmos

Hello everyone! 

It's been a while since I posted something on my blog, except the scheduled posts. 

It's because I have someone in my house who needs lots of attention. 

May I introduce you Latte, our new furry family member since two weeks!!! 

She is a 4 mo old Terrier mix from Oklahoma. We adopted her at a local animal shelter which works with a rescue team in Oklahoma. She is very smart but stubborn, so needs lots of training. Now after two weeks we are getting to know each other and I can find some free time for my crafting. 

As Kathy's The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge is running during November, I tried to draw and color some flowers when I have a piece of time. I colored a cosmos flower under sunshine on Day 4 using Prismacolor pencils and today I could turn it into a card. 

I made a mask for the flower and blended the sky and grass using some DIs. I wanted to show the sunshine using bokeh technique, so sponged white circles in various sizes in the sky with circle stencils and white pigment ink. I then added some grass texture using Copic markers and splattered white ink on it. The sentiment is from Penny Black. I stamped it first in Plum Wine and again in Noir Dye ink from The Ton, as I wanted to make it darker.

Seize the Birthday - Stencils

Hello, everyone!!! 

Happy Thursday and we have new challenge starting today at Seize the Birthday! 

The Topping for the next two weeks is "Stencils". As always you can link up any newly created birthday card in our gallery! 

I took the Topping option and made this card using a ARTplorations stencil! 

Recently I've purchased Nuvo Glimmer paste in Silver Gem. And the Topping at STB gave me the chance to try my new goody! I chose a textured purple cardstock and placed the ARTplorations stencil on it. After I applied the silver Glimmer paste on it, I splattered Shell Pink and Patina alcohol ink. This panel was then cut using a deckle scissors and glued flat on the card base on which I added some silver glitter paper. The sentiment is from Altenew. I silver heat embossed it on some purple cardstock. The strip with the sentiment was mounted using some foam adhesive.
The shine and sparkle of the glimmer paste is really awesome!
