I have three cards today to share with you. Let's get started!
My first card will be a good one for Father's day! I started out by stamping the oscar trophy from Oscar stamp set. I used Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Warm Hazelnut and Found Topaz for layered stamping. I then stamped the second layer again in embossing ink and gold heat embossed it to make it into a golden trophy! For my background I took a Yupo paper and tapped a mix of yellow and gold alcohol ink on it using a felt applicator. I stamped the Freestyle Stripes stamp using Hampton white pigment ink on my black cad base and mounted the Yupo panel on that. I then cut some black cardstock with woodgrain texture in an angle in two pieces and glued an acetate sheet between them to create a display cabinet for the trophy. Next I stamped the BEST... OF THE YEAR from Oscar stamp set in Noir and gold heat embossed the DAD on a gray cardstock, cut it in a curved banner shape and adhered it on the acetate. I mounted the front panel with acetate using some foam adhesive onto the card.
****PLEASE NOTE THE TON IS GOING TO REFRAIN FROM RELEASING THE OSCAR AND OSCAR SUPERLATIVES STAMP SET PENDING PERMISSION FROM THE ACADEMY - WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE***
Today's second card is featuring Brushed Hugs and the Beautiful Butterflies 1 (Monarch). I stamped the Brushed Hugs in embossing ink and heat embossed it the lower half in silver and the upper part in rose gold using our Rose Gold embossing powder on a watercolor paper. I then stamped the butterflies in Arctic Sky, Orchid Crush and Lemon drop and went with Zig brush pens in similar colors over the butterflies and added light wash to the trail of the butterflies. I added rose gold glitter tape from the thin Glitter tape sampler pack on the top and bottom of my card base and foam mounted my front panel on it. To finish off I scattered sequins from Princess Glam, Winter Thaw, Cotton Candy Puff and Flamenco Sunset Couture Mix.
For the last card for today I used Dahlia Close Up, Beautiful Butterflies 3 (Morpho blue) and The New Pretty for the sentiment.
For a dimensional look I decided to create the dahlia in layers. So I white heat embossed the dahlia three times on Bristol paper and colored them in different shades of yellow using Zig brush pens. I blended the colors with a clear Glitter brush pen. I then cut the panels and foam mounted them in layers. The sentiment from The New Pretty stamp set was heat embossed in gold on a piece of clear acetate which I cut in a banner. I applied adhesive on the back of the heat embossed sentiment and added the acetate banner on the card. The big Morpho blue from Beautiful Butterflies 3 was stamped in Noir and clear heat embossed. I colored the butterfly using Zig brush pens and glitter markers in blue. I then added white dots on the wings and Glossy Accents on the body. Three sequins from Winter Thaw and Flamenco Sunset were my finishing touch.
