The Flower Challenge #18 - Anything Goes - Reminder

Hello and happy Thursday :)! Hope you are having a great week so far!

Today I have a DT card for The Flower Challenge to share with you.
We are having a Anything Goes challenge this month! So you can enter any newly created floral card in our gallery! The winner will get two digital stamps from EunJi's Etsy Shop: DotBStamp

Our design team members were lucky to have the chance to play with the stamps. I've shared a card made using Anemone Bouquet set last time. For my reminder card I used Magnolia set

Magnolia
I arranged the single flowers on Keynote as I wanted and printed it out on Canson Mixed media paper for watercoloring.
This is work-in-process pictures. They were made at night time, so not in the best light.

First I colored the background in purple and blue using Gansai Tambi watercolor. Next I added shades on the flowers using silver watercolor. I then watercolored the flowers and leaves very lightly and added details using Polychromos colored pencils.

The sentiment is from PB Heartfelt. It's hard to see here. It says ' Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. ' How beautiful... I gold heat embossed it directly on the colored panel. I foam mounted the panel on the white cardbase and added some sequins to finish off the card.

EunJi has designed another beauty! I love these magnolias!

Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration and play along!!!
Looking forward to seeing your creations in the gallery!

Thank you so much for your visit and lovely comments!

Hugs,
TaeEun

beautiful work! What printer did you use as there is no bleed with your watercolors?

Oh this is gorgeous TaeEun, and I have the same questions as Penny. I've tried so many times to watercolor with digi images, and with no success. What kind of ink and printer did you use? Anything special? I just love your beautiful work.

Thank you, Sandy! I have a small laser printer from Brother. And I use Canson Mixed Media paper to print. It's thin enough to go through my printer and can hold some water! Hope this helps!

TaeEun I used my Brother printer and water colour paper and it printed perfectly. I open the back of the printer so it only goes through the first roller it then handles the thicker paper better I find.
I am going to try the same steps as you took so thank you so much for sharing. I am hoping I might get something worth sharing. Will share with you what ever it ends up looking like even if I don't show anyone else :)
Your card is such an amazing looking creation my friend. Hugs aileen

You did it again TaeEun!! this is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I read the answers you gave about what kind of printer and paper you used and I'm going to add one more.....Did you let the ink dry completely? I printed my images fine on watercolor paper but when I applied the water, the ink dried and I suspect it was because I started coloring them fresh out of the printer.
I got a bit frustrated so that is why I decided to just color the flowers with Prismacolor pencils.
Anyway, your card is amazingly beautiful, love the colors of the flowers and the surrounding space, you have such a gift for watercolor washes, love it.
XO
