The Ton March Challenge - SPRING

Hello there!!!

It's March! Hard to believe we have already one sixth of this year behind us! Hope your March is off to a great start!

New Month, New Challenge at The Ton Challenge blog! The cue word for this month is

There are so many flowers which pop in my mind when I think about Spring. And Tulip is on top of my list. For today's card I used the tulips from Sweet Folk Hummingbird and Geometric Circles Coverplate die for the background.

I stamped the tulip in Antique Linen DI on Bristol smooth paper for no line coloring. I watercolored it and cut it using coordinating die. To create the background I did some loose watercolor wash on a watercolor paper panel in blue, red and green using DI. I used a die cut piece cut with Geometric Circles Coverplate die as a stencil and sponged Lemon Drop, Soft Garden and Cali Blue on the stencil over the watercolor wash. I then added splatters using the same DIs and Copic Opaque white.

I cut the background panel using the largest Double Stitched Rectangle die and glued it on a white cardbase. The tulip was foam mounted on it. The sentiment is from Basic Banners set. I heat embossed a banner in Rose Gold, stamped the sentiment in Noir and cut the banner using the coordinating die. To finish off I added some Glass Slippers sequins.

Hope I could inspire you with my Spring card today :)!

Please stop by The Ton Challenge blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our guest designer. And don't forget to play along :)!!! There is a $50 gift certificate to win !

Have a great day!

These are gorgeous tulips TaeEun and love the view right inside the tulip flowers making them look full blown, and your colours are really pretty. I love the way you have used a stencil cut piece as a stencil to ink through, and your heat embossed banner sentiment, the sequins and splatters are wonderful finishing touches. x

Yes!! These fully-opened Tulips are the very ones I love, and inspired my wedding bouquet, TaeEun - though mine were just white - surprised?!
Gorgeous pinks with the fabulous grey - a stunning card... xx

Those are lovely tulips, TaeEun, although I must admit I like them much better before they are open like this.
