Seize the Birthday - No Topping

Hello everyone!

It's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday! This time around we have no Toppings-option! You may enter any newly created birthday card into the gallery!

For my DT card I used one of the images from Sunset Rose digital stamp set by EunJi. The set has three image files.  You can find EunJi's digital stamps on her Etsy shop, DotBStamp.

I printed the image on Canson mixed media paper. I colored the background first by ink smooshing using pink and blue DOX. After the panel was dry, I started coloring the image using Inktense pencils. I colored the darkest area on the petals using pencils and blended the colors out with a waterbrush.

After done coloring I added white highlight using a gel pen and traced the outline of the flowers with a black micron pen to make them pop. I fussy cut the right side of the image, glued it on a purple patterned paper, fussy cut the purple paper again and foam mounted the panel on a cardbase on which I added some purple polka dot patterned paper. The sentiment from Nesting Peonies (The Ton) was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock. I adhered it on a silver glitter paper I've made using Glossy Fine Silver Adhesive Glitter paper by The Ton. I finished off the card by adding some Glass Slippers sequins.

That's it from my side! Hope you like my card. Please hop over Seize the Birthday blog! My talented team mates and our Surprise Party Guest Sonja have created some gorgeous projects for you!

And one more thing!
I'll take a break in crafting this Summer. I'm moving back to Germany in July and it'll take some time till I have all settled. There will be one more scheduled post while I'm away. But this is my last post I write in the USA.
I'll be away from the blog but will follow you on Instagram and Facebook :) and post maybe one or more coloring projects on them.

Wishing you all a wonderful and crafty Summer!
Huge hugs to you all!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

The Flower Challenge #21 - Use a Previous Challenge Reminder

Happy Friday, everyone!!! Welcome to my blog!

Today I have a DT card to share to remind you of our newest challenge at The Flower Challenge
The theme of the 21st challenge is " USE A PREVIOUS CHALLENGE"

You may choose any previous challenge theme except for Anything Goes! You can find the list of the previous challenges here

I chose #13: Use Your Favorite Flower again. My previous DT card was featuring hydrangeas. This time I put some calla lilies on my card. I've made some cards showing calla lilies - look here and here. Once I drew them myself once I used a stamp from EunJi.

The lilies for today's card were drawn by me during the last 30day coloring challenge in January. It's been on my desk since :) and finally I've turned it into a card.

I found a lovely picture of calla lilies on Pinterest, sketched it on some watercolor paper with a pencil and watercolored it using Mijello Mission Gold watercolor. I cut the panel using a Double Stitched Square die.

The sentiment from Penny Black was heat embossed in Rose Gold EP by The Ton on a torn vellum strip. I glued the vellum strip on the back of the front panel and adhered the panel flat on a square cardbase, on which I added a pink striped patterned paper. I finished off the card by adding some iridescent sequins.

Actually I like white calla lilies, but as you know it's so hard to color white flowers :)! So I went with pink. Hope you enjoyed looking my card and decided to enter into The Flower Challenge!

Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates and our special guest Stef Perry from Perry Papercrafts!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Looking forward to seeing your entries in the gallery!

Altenew June 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew June 2018 Stamps and Dies Release Blog Hop! I'm so excited and honored to be a stop in this blog hop along with other amazing crafters!

If you've arrived here from Svitlana Shayevich's blog, you are right on track. If you are lost or want to start from the first stop please hop over to the Altenew Card Blog.

I have five cards to share with you today. So without further ado let's get started.

My first card is featuring Leaf Canopy set.

I started off by gold heat embossing the big and small branch images on an Alcohol Ink cardstock and colored them using alcohol inks in Limeade, Botanical and Willow. I then splattered Gold Mixative on the panel.

I cut out the small branch using coordinating die and set it aside. I aligned an A2 white woodgrain cardstock with the colored panel and cut the big branch from the woodgrain cardstock with the coordinating die. I adheared the Alcohol Ink cardstock with the big branch onto a cardbase and foam mounted the white woodgrain panel on it.

The sentiment is from Leaf Canopy set as well. I stamped it on a strip of yellow cardstock in black pigment ink. I heat embossed the thanks in gold and other part in clear embossing powder. The sentiment strip and the small branch were foam mounted as shown in the picture. I finished off the card by adding some golden flatback pearls.

The second card is an one layer card with a floral arrangement created using Perfectly Perfect set.

I started by stamping the floral arrangement in Antique Linen DI on some Arches cold pressed watercolor paper while masking when needed. I then watercolored the image and splattered gold watercolor on it. The sentiment is from Cherished Memories set. I stamped it in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it.

My next card is showing Sweetest Peas stamp set.

To start off I gold heat embossed the Sweetest Peas images on some navy cardstock and colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. I fussy cut them all and set them aside.

To create the background I simply adhered Peach Gold washi tape on a white cardbase. It was so quick and I've got this gorgeous background! The golden frame was cut with the die included in New Day Card Kit. I used the golden cardstock also from New Day Card Kit. I foam mounted the frame and the sweet pea flowers onto the card.

The sentiment from Sweetest Peas set was gold heat embossed on some peach cardstock and mounted onto the card.

The next card was created using Moroccan Mosaic and Cherished Memories sets.

First I heat embossed Moroccan Mosaic background on watercolor paper in Pure white crisp EP and colored the panel in purple and pink using liquid watercolor. I then splattered the same ink, gold and white watercolor on the panel and let the panel dry.

The flower and leaves from Cherished Memories were also white heat embossed on some vellum and cut using coordinating dies. I colored the flower on the back in soft pink using R403, R301from Artist Marker Set C.

The sentiment is from Moroccan Mosaic set as well. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it on the card along with the vellum flower and leaves. I finished off the card by adding some iridescent sequins.

Now to my last card for today. For this card I used H for Hello from  Mega Alphabet dies along with the fun Party Banner die.

I stated off by creating a pink watercolored panel using pink DOX inks. I then cut the panel using  Party Banner die and Mega Alphabet H die. The Party Banner die is 4.25 " wide and fits perfectly onto a A2 sized card.  I stamped the small floral image of Mother's Love set randomly on the panel to create the DIY background pattern. I used black pigment ink to clear heat emboss the image afterwards.

I then lifted the colors from the flower petals by adding clear water and dabbing it off with paper towel. To make them even brighter I added white opaque ink on the petals.

I blended some pink ink on the white cardbase very lightly to show it through the bottom and top of the die cut H. I foam mounted the colored panel on it. The sentiment is from Leaf Canopy set. I stamped the long sentiment on the cardbase in black and white heat embossed the hello on some scrap piece of paper I had after die cutting the colored panel. To finish off I added dots on H using Sweet Lilac Nuvo drops.

So now you've seen all of my cards for today :)! Thank you so much for staying with me through this long post. Hope you liked my cards :)!

The Ton Summer Kick Off Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to The Ton's Summer Kick Off Blog Hop!!!

This is a blog hop where you can be inspired by our design team members. We have created projects using our new products from 2018 for you. If you have arrived from Anna's blog, you are right on track. If you want to start from the first stop, please hop over to The Ton's blog.

I have made two cards using Butterfly Wings-Monarch stamp, Pop-Up Butterfly Dies-Monarch and Butterfly Swirl Die from our Flash May 2018 Release.  There are also Swallowtail and Morpho stamp and dies in the shop, if you like other butterflies more :) !

My first card is featuring all three items.

The rainbow butterflies are cut out pieces from the panel I cut using Butterfly Swirl Die for the next card. I silver heat embossed the Butterfly Wings-Monarch on a silver cardstock and popped it off on a gray cardbase on which I silver heat embossed the Minor Stripes.

I then added the butterflies. The tiny ones were adhered directly and the bigger butterflies were foam mounted.

I put a large Monarch pop-up butterfly inside of the card. The Pop-Up Butterfly Dies-Monarch cut both wings and body parts. The dies cut slits in the body parts and you slide them into each other to assemble the butterfly.

I cut the butterfly from a thin white linen paper and blended Lemon Drop on the edge of the wings.
To finish off I added some Glass Slippers and Lemon Chiffon sequins on the inside of the card.

My second card is showing the Butterfly Swirl Die.

I started by making a rainbow trail on a watercolor paper panel using Color Burst. I kept the trail in the shape of the Butterfly Swirl Die. I then cut the panel using Butterfly Swirl Die and the biggest Double Stitched Rectangle die. The cut butterflies were used on the first card.

I adhered Glossy Fine Transparent Adhesive Glitter paper on a white cardbase and foam mounted the colored panel on it. The sentiment and the banner are from Basic Banners set. I heat embossed them on some yellow cardstock and cut the banner using coordinating die.

That's it from my side. Hope you enjoyed looking my cards.

We are giving away a stamp set of choice for each stop on the hop*. Please leave a comment on each DT member's blog to qualify for the giveaway. The comment period will close on Sunday, June 10th at 11:59 pm EDT. Winners will be announced thereafter on The Ton's blog.

Seize the Birthday - Beachy Birthday

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Today is Seize the Birthday Thursday and I have a summery card to share with you!

The new Toppings Option for next fortnight is

I bought this cute stamp by Penny Black last year but the Summer was already over , so I put it aside to use later. Now it's just right time for this cute little girl on the beach to get some color!

I stamped the Beach Baby in Caviar Hybrid ink (a Copic friendly ink by The Ton) on some white cardstock and colored her using Copic markers. I added texture on the sand and ocean with Copics and then blended brown DI onto the beach and blue DIs on the ocean while masking the other part. I blended the sky on DIY cloud stencil and splattered clear water to create the texture. I adhered the colored panel flat on a light blue cardbase.

The sentiment by Paper Smooches was stamped in True Navy on a speech bubble I cut with a craft knife. I added silver faux stitch line around the speech bubble and foam mounted it onto the card.  I added three Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins to finish off the card.

That's it from me. So glad I finally used this cute stamp!

Please don't forget to stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our Surprise Party Guest Sonja!

Have a wonderful one!

The Flower Challenge #21 - Use a Previous Challenge

Hello everyone!

I'm popping in again to share my DT card for the latest challenge at The Flower Challenge with you! This time we are asked to use a theme of a previous challenge.

I used the theme of The Flower Challenge #13 : Use Your Favorite Flower in October 2017.
I chose magnolias as my favorite flower at that time. For this challenge I watercolored some hydrangeas, one of my favorite flowers!!!

The image I'm using is from EunJi's new digital stamp set Hydrangea. She released some floral stamps in June on her Etsy shop: DotBStamp and Hydrangea is one of them. It contains three image files.

This is my card!

I used the hydrangea branch in a watering can and placed other hydrangea branch, some single flowers and a hand trowel on the ground on Keynote programm. I printed it on Canson mixed media paper and watercolored the panel using Tombow brush markers.

After done coloring I cut the panel with a Double Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it flat on a gray cardbase. The sentiment from Penny Black was gold heat embossed.

To add some sparkle I applied Star Dust Stickles on the center of the flowers and on the watering can.

I love the color mix of the hydrangea petals!

Before you go creating please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration and to see which theme my team mates and our special guest Stef Perry have picked!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a great day,
