If you've arrived here from amazing Laurel Beard's blog, you are right on track. If you want to start from the beginning of the blog hop, please visit The Ton's blog.
Effie is our stamp designer and an awesome watercolor artist as well. She has designed two washi tapes based on her own floral watercoloring. The washi tape with elegant pink peonies and rose gold accents is called Pink Peonies and the other one with more cheerful design and colors is called Wildflowers.
I've created two cards each of which is featuring one washi tape.
The first card is showcasing the Pink Peonies washi tape.
This washi tape is so beautiful. I wanted to show it as it is on the whole panel. The Pink Peonies washi tape is 4.5 inch wide, so you can cover a A2 panel completely with it. I added floral images as focal point of the card.
I adhered the frame on the card and arranged the floral elements using some foam adhesives as shown in the picture. I finished off the card by scattering some Glass Slippers sequins.
On my second card which is featuring Wildflowers washi tape I used the florals from the washi tape as my main image.
I started off by adhering the Wildflowers washi tape on a white cardstock and fussy cutting the floral clusters. The main image is the biggest floral cluster from the washi tape. I cut out solo flowers to add them on the main cluster image for some dimension and fussy cut smaller elements too.
I then started assembling the card. The background panel was adhered on a white cardbase and the cut out floral clusters were arranged as shown in the picture. I white heat embossed the sentiment from Penned Sentiment set on a strip of black cardstock and added it onto the card. My finishing touch for this card was some clear Dew drops.
That's it from my side. Hope you enjoyed looking my cards :)!

That first card is just amazing. The vellum window is perfect and the flowers are gorgeous. I love the pale colours of the 2nd card.

Beautiful cards. I can't wait to try using Washi tape in this way!
TaeEun, you are a fussy-cutting aficionado! My goodness, I never would have guessed this wasn't your very own painting! On your first card, I think your use of the rose gold embossing powder was genius, as well... bravo my friend!

Both cards have ethereal beauty!
Tricia Podmore here as I must tell you that your cards are awesome. Fussy cutting the floral images out is genius. Every designer has shown what versatility this washi has and just say wow and wow. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring.
Both of your cards are amazing. I love how vellum softens the look of the washi tape even more and the bouquet you created is beautiful.
These washi tapes are really beautiful TaeEun and two fantastic ways of using them too, especially cutting out the flowers from the tape and adding them to that pretty background, and the first with your beautifully coloured rose gold embossed peonies, and the use of vellum over the washi tape has given it a soft misty look. Gorgeous! x
I love the peonies. The subtle
background with the washi and
the vivid coloring of the stamps
makes an exciting card.
thanks for sharing
