Seize the Birthday #165 - Balloons

Hello everyone!

I'm popping in again to share a birthday card with you! It's Seize the Birthday Thursday and we have a new Toppings option for you, which my team mate Shirley chose.

But as always you may enter any Birthday themed project into our gallery!

I've made a CAS card with a "huge" balloon :)!

I started off by making a cutting file for my Cricut. It was a easy one. I welded a large circle and a triangle to make the balloon. I measured the length of my sentiment and placed the balloon on the panel accordingly.

I cut a yellow patterned paper using the cut file. I then stamped the sentiment from Handwritten Borders set by SSS. I stamped some little flowers and dots from Handwritten Floral Greetings set (SSS) on the cardbase to embellish my balloon :)! I foam mounted the yellow panel on the cardbase and added three little rhinestones on the balloon to finish off the card.

Hope I was able to inspire you to join us !

Please hop over to Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our Surprise Party Guest for May and June, Linda from Lin's Craft Corner!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a great one!

I wondered if you might sneak a few flowers into our balloon theme, and you did it in the most perfect way possible! So pretty.

As the others have already said, you found a way to get the beautiful flowers that you do into this card. Such a great and inventive design.

What a fabulous concept and a fabulous card!! Love how you've used the negative to highlight the balloon!! And I totally loved the colors and the patterns on the paper!
Believe it or not, I had a similar card made for the challenge first - only I used the positive die cut piece. But then, I forgot where I placed it when I wanted to take photos of the card, so I had to make a new one. The old one is still missing - and I hope to find it some day! I was so surprised and delighted to see yours, though! Brought a smile on my face! :D
