Seize the Birthday #177 - Candles

Hello and happy Thursday everyone!

It's Seize the Birthday Thursday again and we have a new Toppings option! My team mate Shirley chose CANDLES as our Topping for next fortnight.

I could find only one birthday themed stamp which shows a candle! The other ones are all for holidays :)! This stamp is from Buddy & Duck stamp set by Penny Black! I made a small circle card which can be used as a tag.

I stamped the cute puppy with a cupcake on a piece of Bristol vellum paper in a black pigment ink and colored it using Zig brush markers. I then fussy cut the image and set it aside.

I cut two circles from Bristol vellum paper using my cutting machine. I white heat embossed the circle sentiment from SSS Circle Sayings set on one circle panel and ink blended Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar DI on it. I dry embossed a Stitched Circle by Penny Black on the front circle panel. I adhered the other circle panel on the back of the front panel, punched the small hole and tied a pink ribbon. The little puppy was added using some foam adhesives.

Now It's your turn to play along! If you don't want to take the topping, you may enter any birthday themed project!

Before you go creating, please stop by Seize the Birthday blog and get more inspiration from my awesome team mates and our surprise party guest Annie!

The Flower Challenge #37 - CAS Reminder

Hello everyone!

I'm popping in again to share my DT card with you! It's time for a reminder post of the latest Flower Challenge #37 with the theme CAS!

We have a PRIZE to give away again this month. The amazing Michele from
CAS-ual Fridays stamps has generously agreed to give our lucky winner this month a
prize of $25. All the Design Team have used CAS-ual Fridays stamps also on their cards. Michele very kindly gave us all some of her stamps to use on our cards ;)

It's our 3rd Birthday challenge! Here is a little banner to celebrate it :) !

I used Daisy Chain stamp set by CAS-ual Fridays to make my CAS card.

I stamped the daisy chains in a black pigment ink on a Bristol vellum paper panel as shown in the picture and watercolored the flowers in yellow and pink. After the colors were dry I ink blended yellow DI on the bottom edge of the panel.

I cut the hello word using hello word die by The Ton from hot pink shimmer cardstock and three more times from black cardstock. I added a thin strip of yellow cardstock on the front panel and adhered the sentiment all stacked together. Three black flatback pearls were my finishing touch!

I used to enjoy making CAS cards as I started cardmaking. It was great to create some again for The Flower Challenge.  Hope you'll play along with us!

Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog to get more inspiration from my team mates!

Have a happy day!

2019 Layton's Legacy Fundraiser & Card Drive

Hello everyone!

Today I have a very special card to share with you. My team mate in Pinkfresh Studio design team Lea Lawson is having a Fundraiser and Card Drive running in name of Leyton's Legacy. Leyton is her son who lived his entire life in a NICU before passing away. Lea experienced first hand how hard it is to be a parent in the NICU, and decided to give a small comfort to parents who find themselves thrust into NICU life in honer of remembrance of her son, Layton.  Please find more information about the fundraising and card drive on Lea's blog

Pinkfresh Studio has created a special stamp set called Forever in Our Hearts in honor of, and to benefit Layton's Legacy. The stamp set includes a beautiful butterfly image and thoughtful sentiments for people who lost a pregnancy, baby or child . 5$ from every sale of this stamp set will be donated to Layton's Legacy.
I made a sympathy card using Forever in Our Hearts stamp set.

First I created the background panel. I pressed Soft Lilac and Lavender ink on a clear acetate sheet, sprayed clear water and applied it on a watercolor paper panel. I repeated the process until I was happy with the result. I then stamped the Floral Cluster on it also in Soft Lilac and Lavender in an ombre fashion.

I then added darker shades where needed on the Floral Cluster image using the same purple inks. I used the inks like watercolor. To add the darkest shade in the petals I used Copic markers V01, 06 and 12. The leaves were colored in C1, C3 and V000.
After the coloring was done I splattered Lavender which was mixed with water on the panel and added lots of white splatters as well.

Next I gold heat embossed the butterfly from Forever in Our Hearts on a piece of watercolor paper and colored it using Pinkfresh Studio watercolors in Sunshine and Clementine. I cut it using the coordinating die and set it aside.

I decided to add a vellum panel on the background to tone it down. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Forever in Our Hearts set on the vellum and cut it using a Diagonal Stitched rectangle die

I cut the background panel using the large Diagonal Stitched rectangle die and foam mounted it on a kraft cardbase. The vellum panel was then adhered flat on it and the butterfly using some foam adhesives.
I finished off the card by scattering some yellow Crystals .

I hope I could show you the beauty of this stamp set and remind you of the great cause of Layton's Legacy.

You can find all the infos about Layton's Legacy Fundraiser and Card Drive and how to help this event on Lea's blog ! On the Pinkfresh Studio blog is also a special post introducing Forever in Our Hearts stamp and die set along with pictures of the beautiful creations from other design team members and guest designers.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!
Wishing you all a lovely day.

Pinkfresh Studio Ink Pad Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio Ink Pad Release Blog Hop!

You've arrived here froRebecca Luminarias' blog, if you're following the blog hop order. In case you're lost on the way or want to start over, please hop over to Pinkfresh Studio blog!

Pinkfresh Studio has released 48 new ink pads today! They are grouped in 12 color families. Four tones in each color family are available so that you have enough shades for layering stamping as well. Along with the full sized ink pads, ink cubes are also available.

*I wrote the name of the ink cube pack in parentheses in the description.

The inks are so juicy and stamp beautifully on the paper. They will be a great addition to your ink collection!

I have three cards to share with you today. Two of them are holiday cards and I added a floral card to show you the stamped images.

Let's take a look at the holiday cards first! For these cards I used mainly the blending technique and the inks were very easy to blend using make-up brushes.

For the first card I used Layered Wreath die and Skiing by stamp set from the recent Holiday Release. I tried a new-to-me color combination; purple, teal and yellow.

First I made the front panel by ink blending Stargazer (Starry Night), Lavender (Soul of Provence), Tidal Pond (Island Oasis) and Mermaid Cove(Island Oasis) from top and bottom towards the middle of a white cardstock. I added lots of white splatters to the panel and let it dry. I then cut the Layered Wreath from the panel. I also cut the Layered Wreath from some white cardstock and green fun foam.

I glued a piece of clear acetate between the white and the green foam wreath to make the shaker window.

For the background I ink blended Sunshine (Rise and Shine) and Grassy Knoll (Over the Hills) and splattered white opaque ink as snow on a white cardbase. The skiing bunny from  Skiing by set was stamped using a black ink and Lavender (Soul of Provence). I masked the sweater and stamped the line in black and stamped the sweater part in Lavender. I added some texture in the sweater using a black fine liner. I cut the bunny with the coordinating die and glued it on the cardbase along with a hill of white cardstock which was cut using coordinating die as well.

I then assembled the shaker card by adding micro beads and silver glitter. I also die cut the small leaves using Layered Wreath die set from a piece of cardstock which I ink blended in Tidal Pond (Island Oasis) and Mermaid Cove(Island Oasis) . The berries were cut from some yellow cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Stargazer (Starry Night) on a piece of white cardstock and added it to the card.

The second holiday card is showcasing Merry Days stamp and die set along with Classic Holiday Words die set.  And I used Key Lime (Over the Hills), Grassy Knoll (Over the Hills), Passion Fruit (Heartbeat) and Bubble Gum (Fairy Dust) to match with the colors of the Rainbow with Splatters washi tape I used to cut the tree.

I started off by die cutting the Merry Days from Bling black cardstock panel and from a piece of cardstock on which I adhered Rainbow with Splatters washi tape. I also cut it from some soft pink fun foam to raise the tree with the washi tape.

I blended Key Lime (Over the Hills), Grassy Knoll (Over the Hills), Passion Fruit (Heartbeat) and Bubble Gum (Fairy Dust) on a soft pink cardbase keeping the transition of the colors like the Rainbow with Splatters washi tape. After the ink was completely dry I white heat embossed the Merry Days  image on it.

I adhered the die cut Merry Days tree from pink foam and Rainbow with Splatters washi on the cardbase aligning with the white heat embossed image and added the negative black panel to the card. I die cut the words from silver glitter and white cardstock using Classic Holiday Words die , stacked them together and adhered it on the card. I finished off the card by adding some pink, yellow and night blue jewels.

To show you how the inks stamp I've made the next card. I stamped the floral images from Lovely Blossoms stamp set using an acrylic block once on Neenah solar white paper. As you can see they stamp beautifully.

I stamped the pink small flowers in Sparkling Rose and Bubble Gum (Fairy Dust) the yellow ones in Sunshine, Sweet Mustard and Marigold (Rise and Shine), the blue ones in Sky Blue, Summer Shower and Seaside (Morning Sky) and the purple one in Soft Lilac and Lavender (Soul of Provence). The leaves were stamped in Misty Coast and Rocky Slope (Urban Raincoat). Some of the flowers I stamped in two shades. I cut them all out using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

I cut a heavy weight Neenah solar white cardstock using a frame die from Pretty Frames die set and ink blended it. I used Sunshine, Sweet Mustard (Rise and Shine) and Bubble Gum (Fairy Dust). The thin frame was silver heat embossed two times. I also splattered the same colors I used for blending  and the Rocky Slope (Urban Raincoat) on a white cardbase.

I foam mounted the ink blended piece with the silver frame on the cardbase. The letters were cut using Adore Alpha die set four times from white cardstock and stacked all together. I arranged the little florals around the letters and glued them as shown in the picture.

The sentiment "are special" is from Blooming Bouquet stamp set. I stamped it in Rocky Slope (Urban Raincoat) on the "U". I finished off the card by adding some pink Crystals.

I want to share one more card I made for the Holiday Release in September, as it shows the beautiful color of the Coral Reef (Heartbeat) !!! It is definitely my favorite color from the new ink pads! The ink blending in the background and the base color of the main images are created using Coral Reef.

Check out the Pinkfresh Studio shop for all the ink colors.
I hope you enjoyed looking my cards and got some inspiration how to use the new Pinkfresh Studio inks!
