First Snow - Penny Black

Hello everyone!

Today I have a few holiday tags to share with you! I made them using one stamp set, called Festive Frolic (30-630) from First Snow release by Penny Black. I love this clear stamp set! It is filled with cute critters! For the sentiments I used Merry Up stamp set (30-622) which has lots of small sentiments. Great for the tags!!!

These are the five tags I made! As they are all made in the similar way, I'll describe how I made them first and show you the photos of each tag!

Three of them are showing the critters from Festive Frolic (30-630) stamp set which were no-line watercolored using Zig brush markers. For those I used Strathmore Bristol smooth paper. I stamped the cuties in Antique Linen DI, except for the polar bear which was stamped in a light gray dye ink.
After the coloring was done, I cut them using the matching dies, Festive Frolic Cut Out (51-582).

For the rest two tags I stamped the images in a black pigment ink on Canson watercolor paper panels and watercolored them using Mijello Mission Gold watercolor.

I ink blended the colored panels or separate background panels using Distress inks and splattered clear water on it and dabbed it off with a paper towel.

I used Copic opaque white ink to make the white parts of the images more brighter and to splatter the snow in the background.

The small tags were cut using the small rectangle die from Snowflake Frames (51-565) die set. The larger ones are cut with a die from Stitched Nested Frames (51-535) die set. I cut the same panel for each tag from some white cardstock and adhered it on the back of each. I then punched the small hole and tied the ribbon.

Below are the close up photos! Enjoy!

Seize the Birthday #179 - Touch of Red

Hello and welcome to my blog, everyone!!!

It's the Seize the Birthday Thursday today and this is the last challenge in 2019, as we always have a holiday break in December!

My team mate, Glenda chose the new Toppings option this time. She wants for us to use touch of red for our projects!

Touch of RED

I made a birthday card using Loose Poinsettias set by The Ton.  It would be great for a person who has the birthday in the holiday season!

I stamped the poinsettia and solo leaves and berries on a solar white cardstock in gray Memento ink and colored them using C Copics. I then added details of the vein and dark shade to the petals (leaves) using Polychromos colored pencils in cold gray. I fussy cut them all and set them aside.

I cut a shimmer cardstock panel slightly smaller than A2 size and cut two circles using Double Stitched Circle dies from some textured white cardstock and from a red patterned paper.

I adhered the shimmer cardstock panel on a dark red cardbase, the white circle on it and added the red circle using some foam tapes as shown in the picture. I then arranged the poinsettia and the berries on the red circle.

The "happy" was cut using Birthday word die from a red glitter paper and from some white cardstock. I adhered the red word slightly offset so that the white shadow can be seen. The "Birthday" was heat embossed in white on a strip of dark red cardstock and added to the card. I finished off the card with three red rhinestones.

That was my last DT card at Seize the Birthday for this year! Hope you like my birthday card in a holiday style :) ! It was actually a set with one of my previous cards I made for other challenge.

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from our surprise party guest Annie and my team mates!  I'd love to see your creations in the gallery! If you want to, you may enter any birthday themed project!

Wishing you, Seize the Birthday friends, a happy holiday season! See you next year!

Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker is hosting her 14th 30 day coloring challenge in November 2019. Altenew is collaborating with her to inspire crafters to find joy through coloring with this Color Therapy Blog Hop!

Kathy is encouraging crafters to color something everyday, it might be only a few minutes a day and you don't need to finish the project at once. You have many options, if you want to share your coloring; on Kathy's blog, on FaceBook or InstagramBe sure to tag Kathy and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day, or #thedailymarker30daykids for kids or young adults.

I'm so excited and feeling honored to be part of this collaborative blog hop! It's even more special to me, as I couldn't participate every day in the challenge like I wanted to.

Recently I've been enjoying coloring the flowers in gray tones using alcohol based markers and colored pencils. I did it again for this blog hop and made also a video showing the coloring process. You could watch the video below or on my YouTube Channel

Let's take a look at my card :)!

I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets, Wallpaper Art and stamped the flowers in Limestone on a Neenah solar white cardstock. I stamped the center part again in Pure Graphite to make it darker.
I then started coloring the folds of the petals using Altenew Artist markers TG02 from set E. I blended the TG02 with Copic W1, added darker shade in TG03 and blended it again with TG02. So my base layer was finished.

Next I added details to the petals using Polychromos colored pencils in Warm Gray. Lastly I colored the darkest shade with a black colored pencil.

The leaves were stamped in Tattered Rose DI on a watercolor paper panel. I colored them in Cotton Candy of Altenew Watercolor Pan set and a waterbrush. While I was coloring the leaves, I added clear water to lift the Tattered Rose ink. I also colored the open leaves in Cotton Candy and added darker shade in Industrial Diamond.

I die cut all the images using coordinating dies. I colored the stamen in gold watercolor and added some golden dots on the leaves as well.

I adhered the Peach Gold Washi tape on a white cardstock panel, narrowed it down slightly and glued it on a dark brown cardbase. I arranged the flowers and leaves on it as shown in the picture.

The sentiment was cut using Inline Alpha die set from some gold foil paper and from some coral fun foam. I raised the letter h with the foam and glued the letter i on a flower. I finished off the card by adhering two gold enamel dots.

If you want to know how I colored the images, below is a video of my coloring process :) !

The Flower Challenge #38 - Add Spots or Stripes - Reminder

Hello, friends!

It's already time for a reminder post for The Flower Challenge #38: Add Spots or Stripes!

I made a holiday card with lots of fine stripes :) ! I used Loose Poinsettias and Basic Stripes set by The Ton.

I stamped the poinsettia on a Neenah solar white panel in gray Memento ink and colored them using C Copic markers. I then added the details to the petals (leaves) using cold gray Polychromos colored pencils. I fussy cut them all and set them aside.

To create the red striped background I stamped Basic Stripes on a white cardbase in an angle in Valentine Red. Next I white heat embossed the Basic Stripes on a red cardstock, cut it into a wide stripe and added it to the card in another angle using foam adhesives.

The silver heat embossed sentiments are from Loose Poinsettias as well. I added the thin strips with the sentiment and thin red strips to the card as shown in the picture. As the stripes of the background made the card look too busy, I adhered a piece of white cardstock on the bottom of the card to give it some white space. I arranged the poinsettia and the berries and added three red rhinestones to finish off the card.

Hope you enjoyed looking my DT card and were inspired to play along!

We are being sponsored by Top Flight Stamps this month. They are kindly giving our winner an e-gift card for $25. You have time to enter till 25th! I'd love to see your entry in the gallery! But before you go creating, please stop by The flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates!!!

Four clear stamp sets are debuting today. The Coming Up Morning Glories is a cluster of three large morning glory flowers and some bold sentiments. The Floral Alphas and Layered Floral Alphas bundle set include the uppercase letters embellished with pretty floral elements.

* The new items are available for purchase NOW!
* New release orders will begin to ship on November 15th.

Today I have two cards to share with you. My first card is showcasing Coming Up Morning Glories set.

I stamped the Coming Up Morning Glories  image in a light colored ink on a watercolor paper panel  and colored it using Zig brush markers. I blended the colors with a clear glitter pen to add shimmer and sparkle! I colored the center of the flowers with a opaque white ink and added a little bit of pink to the background.

The bold sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed in gold on some vellum and added to the colored panel. The small sentiment was stamped directly on the panel in Noir. I cut the left side of the colored panel and foam mounted it on a navy cardbase on which I stamped Basic Stripes background in Grape Crush. I finished off the card with some Medallion Gold sequins.

Next card is showing Transformation Hummingbird. For this card I used the digital image but it is in the same size like the clear stamp.

I printed the Transformation Hummingbird on a Neenah solar white paper and colored it using Copic markers. I chose teal, navy and gray to color the hummingbird and coral color for the morning glory flowers. I added details to the image using Polychromos colored pencils. After the coloring was completed I foiled the image in gold and fussy cut.

To create the background I white heat embossed Morning Glory Greetings two times on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored the image in coral and teal. I colored the background in Payne's gray and gold and gold heat embossed the sentiment from  Coming Up Morning Glories set on it.
I cut the background panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it flat on a cardbase. I added the hummingbird using some foam adhesives and scattered three Medallion Gold sequins to finish off the card.

Seize the Birthday #178 - Off the Edge

Hello and happy Thursday, everyone!

It's Seize the Birthday Thursday today and we have a new Toppings Option for you! This time my lovely team mate JoAnn chose the Topping and it is....

I stamped a little girl sitting on a branch which is coming off the edge! This cutie is from Sweet Smiles (30-349) set by Penny Black.

I started off by cutting a Bristol Smooth paper panel using the largest die from Leaf Stitched Frames (51-552) die set. I made it into my front panel by tilting on a A2 cardbase and cut the excessive parts.
I stamped the image in a black pigment ink and colored it using Zig brush markers.

I ink blended a white cardbase in Tumbled Glass DI so that the color peeks from underneath of the front panel. The sentiment from Special Sentiments (30-574) set was stamped in a black ink on the cardbase and the front panel was foam mounted on it.

That's it from me!
Now it's your turn to play along! As you know you may enter any birthday themed project into our gallery, if you don't want to take the topping!

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from our surprise party guest Annie and my team mates!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful Thursday :)!
