New Floral Digital Stamps - Rachel Vass Designs

Hello everyone!
Today I have a couple of floral cards to share with you!

My so creative team mate at The Flower Challenge, Rachel Vass designed some gorgeous floral digital stamps which you can get at her Etsy Store. We luckily had the chance to get a first glimpse of her designs and they are all gorgeous. I have made two cards using two of her digital stamps.

My first card is showcasing the Trio of Roses stamp. I extended the image to both sides to make it longer to fit on a A2 sized panel as I wanted to.

I printed out the image on a Neenah solar white panel and drew some petals on the roses of both sides using a Copic multiliner to make the image a bit longer. I then colored the roses using Copic markers. After the coloring was completed, I cut the panel using a pair of deckle scissors and foam mounted it on a red cardbase.

I used a sentiment from Ruffled Peony set which I printed on a white cardstock. I cut it and one strip of red cardstock to mat it with. I foam mounted the sentiment onto the card and added some red rhinestones to finish off the card.

Next image is a beautiful peony bouquet in a vase called Peony Rose Vase.

I printed the image on a Canson XL watercolor paper. Thanks to Ericka, my another team mate at The Flower Challenge, I found out a function in my printer which makes it possible to print on some thick paper!!! YAY!!!

I reduced the opacity of the outlines as I wanted to do some no line coloring. I placed the sentiment on the image already on my computer so I have it also printed with the image.

I used Karin brushmarkers to color this image. The markers are very juicy and it was very easy to blend the colors on a watercolor paper using a water brush! I used some orange and pink colors for the peony flowers.

After the coloring was done, I cut the panel using a die from Leaf Stitched Frames die set (51-552) by Penny Black and foam mounted it on a kraft cardbase. I finished off the card by scattering some clear iridescent sequins.

Aren't the flowers beautiful? I really love Rachel's designs! Hope you'll stop by Rachel's Etsy shop to take a closer look!

Thank you for stopping by!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Seize the Birthday #182 - Creatures Great and Small

Hello everyone!

It's Seize the Birthday Thursday again!  This time around we want you to feature some great and small creatures in your projects! This Topping was chosen by our sweet team member Cathy!

But if you don't want to take our Toppings option, you may enter any birthday themed projects into our gallery!

This sweet bear from Penny Black, called Little Charmer (30-662), has been on my desk and wanted to be featured in my card :) !

I stamped Little Charmer (30-662) on Bristol smooth paper in a black pigment ink and colored the bear with Zig brush markers. I used a water brush to blend the colors. After the coloring was done and the panel was dry I cut it using the coordinating Cut Out (51-606).

To create the background I colored a watercolor paper piece in yellow Distress inks using smooshing technique. After the panel was dry I cut it using one of the dies from Stitches of Love set (51-597) and stamped the sentiment from Tweet Tweet (30-156) set in black.

I foam mounted the background panel on a kraft cardbase and added the bear to it using foam adhesives.

That was my DT card! Hope I was able to inspire you to play along!

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog to get more inspiration from my teamies and our Surprise party guest  Joyce Mehrberg from Cards by the Sea!

Share the Love II - Penny Black

Hello, crafty Friends!!! How are you doing? Hope you're having a great week so far!

Today I have a few cards that I made using some goodies from Share the Love Release by Penny Black. The stamps that I chose for today's cards are including some cute critters, whimsical designs and pretty rose dies.

My first card is featuring these sweet bear friends from Take me Away stamp set (30-650) from Share the Love Release.

I stamped this cute image on a Neenah solar white paper in black Memento ink and cut it with my ScanNCut. I then colored the image using Copic markers. I used E31, 33, 35 and 37 for the brown bear and W colors for the gray bear. For the balloons I chose R30, 32, YG01, 25 and Y00, 02.

The background was created by ink blending. I made a negative oval mask and ink blended Squeezed Lemonade , Twisted Citron and Worn Lipstick DI on a white cardbase making cloud shape using a self-made cloud stencil.  The sentiment is from Only You stamp set (30-666). I stamped it on the cardbase in black and foam mounted the image on it. I finished off the card by scattering some clear iridescent sequins on it.

The next two cards are featuring Banner Blooms stamp (30-664) and Cut Out (51-603).  I chose teal and gold color combination.

I started off by creating two stamped panels. I placed the stamps from Banner Blooms stamp (30-664) set on my MISTI and stamped them on a Neenah Solar white cardstock panel and on a teal colored cardstock panel. I used light gray ink for the white panel and an embossing ink for the teal panel to stamp the images.

I colored the images using BG Copics for the white panel, Polychromos colored pencils for the teal panel. I gold heat embossed the images after the coloring was done. I filled the gaps with small images - stamped, colored and gold heat embossed them. I also gold heat embossed some dots.

I cut each panel in the same way into three pieces and switched the middle parts. I mounted the middle part flat on the cardbase; the white piece on a teal cardbase and the teal piece on a white cardbase. The side pieces were then added using some foam adhesives.

The banner and the sentiment were also stamped, colored and gold heat embossed like the images and cut using the coordinating Cut Out (51-603). The banners were foam mounted as shown in the pictures and the cards were finished.

Next I have a CAS card to share with you. This is showing the sweet roses from Red Roses (51-593) die set, which includes three roses and a bow.

The background panel was created using a YUPO paper panel colored with alcohol inks in Watermelon and Poppyfield. I pressed a gold foil using a brayer on the panel, before it was completely dry.

The roses and the bow were cut from some watercolor paper. I tied the bouquet with a red twine and adhered it on the background panel. The bow was gold heat embossed three times. I actually splattered gold ink on the roses but I wasn't happy with it. So I cut more roses and adhered them on the previous ones.

The sentiment is from Little Charmer (30-662) stamp set. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of red cardstock and foam mounted it onto the card.

The last card is featuring a lovely flower bouquet from Key to Kindness (30-665) stamp set.

I stamped the image on some Bristol smooth paper in Antique Linen and Tattered Rose and colored it using Karin brush markers. After the coloring was done, I fussy cut it and set it aside.

I wanted to put the bouquet on the grass. So I watercolored some scrap of watercolor paper in green and cut some Grass using Garden Edgers die set (51-549). I ink blended the sky with some clouds on a white cardbase in blue using Salty Ocean DI and stamped the sentiment from Love Language (30-667) stamp set in a black ink. I then added the grass pieces onto the cardbase, the second layer using some foam tapes. I tucked the bouquet in the grass field and the card was finished.

I had a blast making these cards using Penny Black's stamps and dies! I really enjoyed the process and love how the cards tuned out!

Thank you so much for looking my cards! Hope I could inspire you with them!
Have a happy day!

The Ton 5th Anniversary 2020 Release Instagram Hop

Hello and welcome to the first day of The Ton's 5th Anniversary Release Instagram Hop!

The Instagram hop is of course running on Instagram :)! You can hop along there and leave comments for a chance to win the prize. I just wanted to share my card with my crafty friends, who aren't familiar with Instagram.

My card is featuring Large Florals: Peony set.

I stamped the red peony in Peach blossom, Coralline Hybrid and Coral Cavern ink and the brown one in Warm Hazelnut, Found Topaz and Aspen Cocoa. The leaves are stamped in Warm Hazelnut  and Found Topaz . I fussy cut them all and set them aside.

To create the negative cut out panel I first made it on the Cricut workspace. I used the coordinating cut files. I placed two flowers and four leaves on a A2 sized rectangle, welded the images and cut out it from the A2 rectangle. I cut it from some white woodgrain cardstock.

I foam mounted the negative cut out panel on a white cardbase and adhered the images, aligning them along the cut out window. I adhered the top part of the red peony using foam tapes to add more dimension. The sentiment is from Fill it In Sentiments set from this release. I white heat embossed it on a strip of brown cardstock. To add some sparkle I scattered some sequins from Rose Champagne Sparkle and Hot Cocoa Couture Mix.

That's it! Please follow this link to hop along on Instagram. Some amazing crafters are participating in the Instagram hop!

I made two cards to share with you.

My first card is featuring  Large Florals :Peony set. This stamp set has a large peony flower in three layers and a leaf image in two layers.

I stamped the peony in Rose Quartz, Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink and the leaves in Crystal Pewter and Smoky Quartz. I fussy cut them and set them aside. There are coordinating cut files in The Ton's shop, if you can use a cutting machine.

To create the background I colored an YUPO panel in Flamingo and Shell pink alcohol ink. I added lots of rubbing alcohol and moved and dried the inks using a blower.
I adhered the background panel on a light gray cardbase and the leaves on it. the flower was added using some foam tapes.
The sentiment is from Large Florals :Peony set as well. I white heat embossed it on a strip of gray cardstock. I finished off the card with three Glass Slippers sequins.

The next card is showcasing Lifetime of Love stamp set. It's a great set to celebrate a wedding or anniversaries. I worked with a digital version of the stamp set, as I haven't received the stamp set at that time. The stamp has arrived while I was coloring the image :) .

I printed out the image arranged as shown in the picture. Surely you can stamp the scene as you want using the elements included in the stamp set like the bridal veil, the pattern of the dress or the bow tie for the bridegroom. I colored the image using Copic markers. I used B34, 37, 39, 99 and V99 for the dress and colored the suit in cool gray. I colored the skin and the hair only very lightly.

I gold heat embossed the pattern of the dress and covered the dress and the veil with some glitter using a clear glitter pen.
I ink blended the background in Violet Fringe, True Navy and Parisian Blue and splattered gold and white watercolor on the panel while covering the image.
After the background was dry I cut the panel using the Double Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it on a navy cardbase. The sentiment from the same stamp set was gold heat embossed on a strip of vellum and adhered on the card. Some  Glass Slippers sequins were my finishing touch.

That's it from my side! Hope I could show you the beauty of the new stamp sets!
