Seize the Birthday #184 - Sentiment as Focal Image

Hello everyone!

It's the Seize the Birthday Thursday again! My sweet teammate Colleen chose the new Toppings option for the next fortnight and it is "Sentiment as Focal Image".

I used the Sentiment Suite: Happy Birthday die set by Pinkfresh Studio as my focal sentiment :)!

I started off by making the floral background using one of the new background stamps by Pinkfresh Studio, called Enchanted Blooms. I stamped it on a watercolor paper panel in Licorice and colored the image using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid watercolors.

I cut the words from the colored panel using Sentiment Suite: Happy Birthday die set and the shadow layer from some navy cardstock. The colored panel was cut with a Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die and added to a navy cardbase.

The sentiment with the navy shadow was then added to the card using some foam adhesives. I finished off the card with some clear Jewels

That's it from my side! Now it's your turn to play along! As always you could enter any birthday themed project into our gallery, if you don't want to take our toppings option!

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates and our surprise party guest  Joyce Mehrberg from Cards by the Sea! Huge thanks to Joyce for being our guest for the past two months!!!

Thanks for looking!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
TaeEun

Its gorgeous!! The watercoloring is just so cool! And the sentiment, with a portion of it being the watercolored piece, looks awesome! Love it!

I was studying this design closely to see how the heck you did this. I see that you let the die-cut do the work, but it looks so complicated and beautiful. I love this total look. By the way, I ordered the die that you used from Pink Fresh on the last challenge. It is on my desk now waiting to be used.

This is lovely! Gorgeous watercolouring, and by using your sentiment dies this way, you don't lose any of the floral beauty!
