Pinkfresh Studio April 2020 Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to Pinkfresh Studio April 2020 Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop!

You've arrived here from Patricia Roebuck's blog, if you're following the blog hop order. In case you're lost on the way or want to start over, please hop over to Pinkfresh Studio blog!

Pinkfresh Studio has released 11 stamps sets including two background cling stamps with removable elements, 7 Stand alone Cuts and coordinating dies. The new designs are all so gorgeous and unique! Check out all the new items on Pinkfresh Studio blog!

I’ve made four cards to showcase the brand new items. Let’s get started.

My first card is featuring Ornate Floral Stand alone die. It is a coverplate die with large floral elements.

I cut the Ornate Floral once from a watercolor paper panel and two more times from heavyweight white cardstock. I left the die cut pieces cut from the watercolor paper still stuck together and colored it using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors. For the flower I used Bubble Gum and the leaves were colored in Licorice and Sapphire.

As a darker background I chose a dark gray cardbase and splattered white opaque ink on it. After the ink was dry I glued the watercolor die cut piece without the flower petals and the background portion on it. I added two more layers of the outline that was cut from the white cardstock to it. I curled up the petals and glued only the base of them into the places.

I splattered white opaque ink all over the whole panel and sprayed shimmer spray on it for some sparkle.

The sentiment was stamped using Layered Script Words, another awesome new design in a calligraphic style, which you can stamp in three colors. I used Bubble Gum, Rocky Slope and Licorice. I cut it using the detailed coordinating die. I cut the detail cut three more times from some white cardstock and cut one shadow shape to layer them up for some dimension. To finish off I added a few light pink and pink Jewels to the center of the flowers.

The second card is a slimline card which is showing some of the new items. The main floral cluster is from Modern Layered Floral stamp set, the background was created with the Chevron background stamp and the sentiment is from Simply Sentiments - You stamp set. I also added a bow made using the Artistic Bows die set.

First I created the background. I chose light pastel hue of four cheerful Spring colors, Meadow, Ocean Breeze, Coral Reef and Lemon Whip. The Chevron background stamp has removable elements so that you can stamp the single patterns separately. I stamped the chevron pattern on the top and bottom end of a slimline-sized white cardstock panel and cut it using Slim diagonal stitched rectangles die set. I foam mounted the background panel on a white slimline cardbase.

Modern Layered Floral image was stamped in Coral Reef, Raspberry Bliss, Sweet Mustard, Emerald City and Key Lime and cut using the coordinating die. I glued the lower part of the floral cluster on the background and adhered the upper part using some foam tapes. I cut a bow using Artistic Bow die from some yellow cardstock and added it to the bouquet.

For the sentiment I used the same colors I used for the background. “you” from Simply Sentiments - You set was stamped in Ocean Breeze and Meadow in an ombre fashion. The small sentiments were white heat embossed on strips of white cardstock. I ink blended them in Lemon Whip and Coral Reef respectively. I added some light blue and yellow Crystals and the card was finished.

Next up is the card made using Take Pride stamp set.

I gold heat embossed the Take Pride image on a watercolor paper, colored it using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors and cut it with the coordinating die. I used the center circle to add the sentiment which I gold heat embossed. The small sentiment from the same set was stamped in Metropolis.

For the background I used a patterned paper from My Favorite Story 6x6 paper pack. I cut it using  Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a gray cardbase.

I added the flower wreath using foam adhesive. The center piece with the sentiment was adhered flat onto the place. To embellish my card I scattered quite a few pink and purple Jewels.

The last card for today is featuring Believe in Yourself stamp set. It includes outline images and solid elements with which you can fill in the outline image. I used only the outline and colored the floral clusters.

I stamped the Believe in Yourself image two times on a watercolour paper panel in Peach Fuzz to do no line watercoloring. I used Pinkfresh Studio Liquid watercolors. I keep the flowers in yellow, orange and red color scheme. After the coloring was done, I cut the images with the coordinating die and set them aside.

To create the background I white heat embossed the Diamond Tiles cling background stamp on a white cardstock panel and ink blended the perimeter in Lemon Whip, Sunshine and Clementine. I cut the background panel using Stitched Rectangles die, foam mounted it on a cream cardbase and added the colored floral clusters to the diagonal corners using some foam tapes.

The sentiment from the same set was stamped in Gathered Twigs. I cut the “Believe” using the shadow layer of the coordinating die set. The small sentiment was white heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock. I ink blended it in Gathered twigs. After adding the sentiments to the card I scattered some yellow and orange Crystals to finish off the card.

That's it from my side for today! I hope I was able to show you the unique beauty of the new items and inspire you with my cards!

Seize the Birthday #189 - Food and/or Drink

Hello, crafty friends!

Today is again Seize the Birthday Thursday! It's the last challenge in April and the Toppings option for this one was chosen by my team mate Glenda! She wants for us to use Food and/or Drink for our projects!

I had this Candy Cupcake digital image designed by Alex Syberia, already printed on my desk. So it wasn't hard what food or drink to choose for my card :)!

I colored the cupcake using Copic markers. I chose blueberry frosting for my cupcake and colored it in V Copics. I colored the cupcake liner also in V Copics mixed with C Copics. The cake was colored in E30s Copic colors. I added pink, yellow and orange candies and some white highlights using a white gel pen. After done with coloring I fussy cut the cupcake and set it aside.

To create the background I used the smooshing technique in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Scattered Straw DI to match with the cupcake colors. I dabbed the inks on a sheet of clear acetate, sprayed clear water on it and pressed it on a watercolor paper. After the panel was dry, I cut it using the Simple Stackers die (51-613) by Penny Black and foam mounted it on a light gray cardbase.

I added the cupcake and the sentiment strip on it using some foam tape. The sentiment is from Wishes stamp set (30-103) also by Penny Black. I added Shimmer Pico embellisher on the tiny sprinkles on the frosting to finish off the card.

That's it from me! Now it's your turn to play with us! As always you may enter any birthday themed project into our gallery!

And please don't forget that we are having a special challenge running until April 28th; Seize the Heroes! If you missed it, you can find the details on the special challenge here!

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates and our surprise party guest  Stef Perry! Thank you very much for being our surprise party guest for the past two months, Stef!!! Your cards are always an inspiration!

Thank you so much for looking, everyone!

Altenew has released unique stamp and die designs again along with some sequins and the Stamping mat!

If you want to have a look at all the new items, please click here. It is always an amazing experience to play with Altenew's new designs! Huge thanks to Altenew for inviting me!

I've created four cards for today's blog hop.
The first card is featuring Precious Blooms stamp
set. I did some pencil coloring which I love to do usinig Altenew's floral stamps :) .

I used toned gray paper for this project. I stamped the outline of the floral cluster on it in Pink Diamond ink. I also added the second layer in Pinkalicious to get the idea where each petal on this image is. I masked the flower and stamped the outline and the second layer of the leaves in Bamboo.

I colored the flowers and leaves using Prismacolor colored pencils. I added bright highlight with a white gel pen on the stamen and some of the petals. After done with coloring I covered the images with a piece of printer paper and splattered white opaque ink on the panel. I also added tiny splatters on the flowers afterwards. The sentiment from the Precious Blooms was white heat embossed directly on the colored panel.
I matted the panel with a hot pink panel and mounted it on a white cardbase. To finish off I scattered some Satin White sequins on the card.

For the next card I used the Sweet Spring stencil which is a delicate floral cluster image in two layers.

I started off by ink blending on a teal cardstock in Lagoon and Emerald ink from the Sea Shore Mini cube set in an ombre fashion getting darker towards the left side.

I cut the stencil in two parts to separate the layers. I applied Aquamarine Nuvo mousse on the teal panel through the stencil of the base layer and let it dry.  After the base layer was dry I put the first stencil on the dried image and put the stencil for the second layer on it and applied Silver Nuvo glimmer paste.

After the panel was dry, I cut the panel along the bottom side of the image using a kraft knife. The sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set was stamped in Emerald on a white cardbase and the front panel was foam mounted on it.

The next pair of cards are showcasing the Mega Bloom stencil. I used two different techniques using the same stencil.

For the first example I colored the image using Colored pencils.

First I inked the mulberry cardstock using a white pigment ink through Mega Bloom stencil. I let the ink dry overnight and colored the image using Prismacolor colored pencils. I used various pink shades along with magenta to get the monochromatic look.

After done with coloring I foam mounted the panel slightly tilted on a cream cardbase as shown in the picture. The sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set was gold heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock, matted with a strip of foiled gold cardstock and added to the card. I finished off the card by adding some Satin Gold sequins.

On the next card I tried something new. I wanted to know if it would work.

I stenciled the Mega Bloom using a white gesso on a panel on which I adhered the Pixel washi tape.
After the gesso was dry I colored the petals with white and pink acrylic paint. To add some sparkle I applied Moonstone Nuvo glimmer paste on the base of the petals.

I mounted the colored panel flat on a soft pink cardbase. The sentiment from  Sentiment Strips 2 set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock added on a strip of gold cardstock and foam mounted onto the card. The finishing touch for this card was some Antique Gold sequins.
I'm not quite happy with the result. But I'm glad that I gave this a try :).

That was my four cards I made for today's blog hop! I hope I was able to inspire you with my cards!

My card is featuring the Wild Rose Close Up stamp by The Ton.

First I did light "alcohol ink wash" on an alcohol ink cardstock. I applied lots of rubbing alcohol on the panel and added drops of Watermelon and Poppyfield alcohol ink. I mixed the ink with the rubbing alcohol by blowing. I added a little bit of Citrus on the top and bottom edge of the panel where the leaves of the Wild Rose Close Up would be stamped.

After the panel was dry I gold heat embossed the Wild Rose Close Up  on it and started coloring. I dropped Watermelon, Poppyfield and Red Pepper on the petals and moved the inks by tilting the paper. I colored petal by petal. The leaves were colored in Citrus, Botanical and Willow.

After the panel was dry, I cut the word "thank" from the panel using Bold General Greeting Word Plate die. I cut the word also from some red fun foam.

I adhered the colored panel on a red cardbase, adhered the word onto their places raising it with the fun foam die cut words. I cut "you" using Sweetheart Word plate die once from white cardstock and one more from Adhesive gold foil paper , adhered them together and added to the card as shown in the picture. Seize the Heros - a Special Challenge!

Hello everyone!

Today I have a special card for a special challenge to share with you. Seize the Birthday team has decided to have an extra challenge for our HEROES who are helping us go through this challenging times. They could be doctors, nurses, postmen, police officers or cashiers in the market.
To whom are you thankful? Make some Thank you cards and link them up in our gallery.

I've made a Thank you card for doctors using the freebie Birdie Brown digital printables provided by MFT. If you need some images for your projects, you can find them here

I used Doctor's Orders image for my card. I printed the pdf file on a Neenah solar white paper and colored the doctor using Copic markers. I fussy cut the doctor and set it aside.

To create the background I cut a white panel using Radiating Background 2 die by Pinkfresh Studio. I made a mask in a size of two stripes of the background pattern and ink blended the soft rainbow colors on the background panel as shown in the picture.

I chose a sky blue cardbase, ink blended Wilted Violet DI on the center of the front and splattered white ink on it. I foam mounted the background panel and added the doctor to the card. The sentiment is from the Call the Shots printable. I matted the sentiment banner with a blue cardstock and adhered it onto the card. To finish off the card I added some sequins from Lilac Blossoms Couture Mix by The Ton.

Now it's your turn to make some Thank you cards for our heroes. You have time to enter until Tuesday, April 28th.
