One more floral card :) - Chrysanthemum

Hello everyone!

I'm popping in to share a floral card with you today. I'm trying to color floral images during current The Dailymarker 30 day Coloring challenge as often as I can. And the digital floral stamps by EunJi, which she is releasing during September, are just right for this challenge.

The digi-stamp on my card is called Botanical Chrysanthemum.  If you want to see the gorgeous creation by Eunji click here.

And this is my card!

When I color flowers, I always google for it to see the color combination, the highlights, shades, the veins on the petals etc. For the Chrysanthemum of my card I chose this picture as my reference.

I used R81, R83, R85 and R 89 to color the Chrysanthemum flower. For the leaves and stem I used various YR colors. But I didn't like how they turned out and corrected them using Polychromos colored pencils. The gold heat embossed sentiment is from Large Florals: Carnation set by The Ton. I cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die and foam mounted it on a dark red cardbase.

To finish off I added clear WOS on the flower and some dew drops using Glossy Accents.

I really love the colors of R81 - 89 Copics, kinda burgundy red!

I'm going to enter this card into Addicted to CAS #120: Florals and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Clean and Simple.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

LIM - Balloons/ ATCAS - Wish/ ATSM - Make Your Mark

Hello and happy Tuesday(or Wednesday :))!

Today I have three cards to share with you.
It's been long since I played along at Less is More challenge last time. This week I'm trying to join in my favorite challenges again. The recipe at Less is More #313 (Balloons) gave me a chance to use this adorable stamp by Penny Black, which I purchased a while back but haven't used yet.

I stamped the doggy with a balloon in black Memento ink on a white card stock and colored it using Copic markers. The doggy was colored after the favorite fluffy doggy of my daughter. And pink is her favorite color :). The sentiment in black is from Clearly Besotted. I cut out the middle part of the panel to show the cloudy sky on the card base, which I made by blending some blue DIs on a cloud mask. For more shine I added Shimmer Pico on the balloon and the nose of the doggy. I finished off the card with two enamel dots.

Next two cards were made after watching some of video tutorials by Kelly Latevola. I love her colorful and bold style and the dimension she creates on her one layer card.
The stamp is Flower Cascade by Penny Black.

This card is a one layer card in Kelly's style. I created the background after masking the image by blending DIs in rainbow colors and adding splatters of clear water and white ink. Coloring was done with Copic markers. I added gray shades along the outlines and some white accents here and there using a white gel pen. The sentiment from Penny Black was stamped in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed. I added white outline to it. The flowers got a coat of Wink of Stella.

The last card is for the Addicted to CAS #103: WISH.

The flower cascade was done like the previous card. But for a CAS look I cut out the image and foam mounted it on a white card base. I then took a circle sentiment from SimonSaysStamp and stamped it three times in ombre gray shades. The die cut wishing is also from SSS. I cut it out from a piece of white cardstock on which I blended DIs in rainbow colors. I cut a same sentiment from a yellow fun foam to add it under my die cut sentiment for some dimension.

I'm happy with how they turned out. I want to say thank you to Kelly for her fabulous video tutorials!!!

I want to enter my second card into Addicted to Stamps and More #227: Make Your Mark and the last one into SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Sending Warm Greetings

 Hello everyone!

I was coloring last night, this time using my Zig markers. Watercoloring is a hard one for me and it took three hours to finish this peonies.

I made a small peony cluster on the center of an A2 panel (Bristol smooth) using the Loose Peonies stamp set by The Ton. I borrowed the leaves from Large Peony 1 and  Large Peony 3.

I stamped the peonies in Tattered Rose and the leaves in Antique Linen DI, masking the images wherever needed. The colors I used for peonies are Light Pink, Light Carmine, Orange, Fl.pink, Dark pink and Blue gray, colors for leaves are Pale gr, Light Gr, Green and Persian Gr. I added some light gray shade along the outline of the bottom part.
To turn the colored image into a card was not easy. At first I had no idea how to do for a while.
As I wanted to give the flowers some sky, I decided to cut out a part, after I sketched a big circle. I then blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Crushed Olive on the white card base and added some white splatters on it.
The sentiment is from Sending Peonies stamp set from The Ton as well. I stamped the "Sending" in black on the front panel and added the heat embossed (Liquid platinum) small sentiment using some foam adhesive.
The front panel was foam mounted on the card base. To finish off I scattered some clear sequins.

Here some close-up pics!

I want to enter this card into Addicted to CAS #98: Watercolour and into The Flower Challenge #1: Anything Goes.

Thank you so much for coming!
Have a beautiful day!!!

Silhouette

Hello :)!

Today I want to show you a card I made with the help of my Cricut!

A card with a silhouette image is not a familiar style for me. But an advertisement I saw on internet gave me this idea with silhouette hands holding happy sentiment.
For this I made a cutting file (.svg) and cut it out from a black CS. The chic background is the Garland bold prints stamp from Hero Arts. I heat embossed it using silver glitter EP on a watercolor paper panel.  I then added four neon colors of Zig markers onto the area where the happy will be placed. The silhouette image and the silver banner with silver heat embossed "Birthday" were foam mounted. To finish off I adhered three rhinestones.
I'm so happy with how this turned out!!! Hope you like it, too!

Have an wonderful day!

Poppies

Hello!
I hope you had a good start to the new week!

Today I have a watercolor floral card to share with you which is featuring poppies and sentiment from Technique Tuesday.

I started off by stamping the image using red and green pigment inks on a watercolor CS. After watercoloring I cut the panel diagonal and along the outline of the flowers to follow the Sketch from Less is More #278.  I then added some splatters using a MFT stamp in red on my card base and blended some green DIs on the bottom of the watercolor panel, which was mounted with foam tape on the card base.
To finish off I added red and clear sequins. I think I've misplaced  some of them :).

I'm entering this also into Addicted to CAS #89: Petals and SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Guest Designing at Addicted to CAS

 Hello and happy Saturday!

Today's post is a special one for me, as I am guest designing at latest Addicted to CAS challenge :) !!!

The code word for this challenge is DELICATE.

As you may know, lately I've been enjoying drawing flowers free-hand. So of course I thought about delicate flowers as I saw the code word and decided to give it a go.

Calla lily is one of my favorite flowers, so elegant and calm.
The calla lilies on my card have beautiful purple shade in the center and are called as Picasso calla lily.
I sketched the flowers with pencil on a soft blue CS and colored them using Prismacolor pencils.
I cut a side of the colored panel with a border punch for some more delicate detail and mounted it on a purple panel with foam tape. The white heat embossed sentiment is from Beautiful day stamp set by Altenew. To finish off the card I added some sequins and rounded two corners.

I hope you could get some inspiration from my card and join in the fun at Addicted to CAS!
Please hop over and let the fabulous cards from DT ladies inspire you!

Thank you so much for visiting today!
Have a great weekend!

Home, made of Love and Dreams

Hello, everyone!

Today I have a home-themed card to share with you.
I made this card with the Addicted to CAS Challenge in mind. The code word for this week over there is HOME.

I googled for a quote. I found "A house is made of walls and beams, a home is made of love and dreams" and decided to use this quote for my card.

As I have no stamps for the sentiment, my sentiment was computer generated with the font called Vonique64. After I printed the sentiment I masked off a house and drew a heart around the house using a pencil. I then stamped small flowers and leaves from Paper smooches and My favorite things inside of the heart. I took off the mask and filled the unstamped spaces using a silver gel pen. Lastly I erased the pencil line.

home sweet home

Hello and welcome to my blog!!!

Today I have a card to share with you which I've made with the sketch from the MFT sketch challenge #268. The theme is "Home", the code word over at Addicted to CAS #82.

The proud new home owner is a dog from the MFT You make My Tail Wag stamp set.  I put a pink bow from Avery Elle on the new house. The dog, dog house and the bowl were colored using Copic markers and fussy cut. The sentiment strip was made with the help of my computer and adhered flat on the card base which I sponged using Distress inks. The card base got also some splatter of pearl-water mix. The dog and the bowl were adhered using foam tape for some dimension. The hooray! sentiment is from Hero Arts.

White on White

Hello and welcome!
Today I have three White on White cards to share with you.
The Less is More challenge turns 5 and the special theme to celebrate this is White on White!
This is a style which I adore but haven't tried yet.
I wanted to go with dry embossing and after searching for appropriate ones I found three EFs.
So I made three cards using them. I used Bazzill canvas White CS for some texture.

On my first card I added only the sentiment on a circle vellum with a glitter frame hanging down from the dry embossed banner. The sentiment was cut with my Cricut. The font is called Reklame Script.

The second card with butterflies and flourish got some vellum flowers. The flowers are from the Doodle Blooms stamp set by Altenew, which were fussy cut after white heat embossing.
The sentiment from Penny Black was silver heat embossed. For final touch I added some rhinestones.

For my last card I dry embossed the white canvas CS on the reverse side, so that the image is concave.
I then filled the flower with white and silver Pico Embellisher to color it. The sentiment is my hubby's handwriting cut with my Cricut. I cut it five times and stacked them and color the topmost cut using black and silver sharpie pens. For more interest I drew lines on the left side of the card base in silver and mounted the embossed panel flat on it. To finish off I added some clear sequins.

Bloom

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a floral card to share with you.

The flower images are from the Beautiful Day Stamp set by Altenew.
I wanted to try the pencil coloring on kraft again.
To start off I stamped the big flower outline image on my kraft card base using Memento Summer sky and colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. I then stamped the stamen only using embossing ink and heat embossed it in gold. The little flower clusters and the branchs were stamped in sand after I masked the already colored flower. I colored the little flowers in light blue with pink center. And then I added shadows in the background with a gold pencil. The leaves got some highlights in light beige. I am very happy with how it turned out.
Here is the close up.

To make the sentiment part was a mega struggle this time. Because I had the February Altenew challenge in mind I wanted to add black to the sentiment. At first I made a black strip with gold heat embossed sentiment. But it didn't look fine on the card. In the end I decided to go with the gold embossed strip and the gold heat embossed sentiment on black and vellum.  I'm still not sure whether it was a good choice or not. It might have been better simply to stamp the sentiment in black without anything.

Red rose

Hello and welcome!

Today I made a second card for the Addicted to CAS : RED!
I'm still practicing Marika's coloring technique and here I used again copic markers along with Polychromos pencils.

This gorgeous rose is from Clearly Besotted. I stamped it partly in soft red and soft green with second generation of inking on a white CS. I then colored the rose using copic markers first and added details using colored pencils.

Actually I've already finished coloring on sunday. But at first I had no idea how I should finish a card with this image.  I wanted to make a background for this rose.  So I made a mask for it. I thought about blending but couldn't decide with which color... After a while I was ready for ink splatters. And I did it! I flicked some red inks over the masked rose and added Ladybug Pico embellisher on some of the splatters.
I then trimmed the panel, rounded the corners and mounted it on the card base, the edges of which I sponged in red.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in black. I finished off the card with some Glossy Accents dewdrops on the rose.
