Guest Designing at CAS Watercolor Challenge - Reminder

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog!

Today I want to share a card I made for the current CAS Watercolor June Challenge where I'm luckily guest designing this month!  The theme for this month is Something Blue and you have time to enter till June. 24th.

For the reminder GD card I used the Circle of Leaves die by SSS to make a quite simple CAS card.

I started off by creating the blue background panel. I sprinkled various blue shades of Brusho powders on some Canson Mixed Media paper panel and spritzed pearlized water on it. After the panel was dry I added clear water splatters, dabbed them off with a paper towel to add some texture to the background. I also splattered white opaque ink and let it dry.

I cut Circle of Leaves from a textured white cardstock panel, stamped the sentiment from Special Sentiments (30-574) by Penny Black in Sapphire (Altenew) on it and foam mounted the panel on the cardbase on which I adhered the blue background panel.

That's it from my side. Please hop over to CAS Watercolor Challenge blog for more inspiration from the amazing DT members!

Thanks to CAS Watercolor challenge team for the chance to be guest designing!
Thanks for looking!
Have a great one!

Guest Designing at CAS Watercolor Challenge

Hello everyone!!! Hope June has started off great for you all!

Today I have a special card to share with you. I had the pleasure and honor to be picked as a winner at April CAS Watercolor challenge. And lovely Loll who hosted the challenge has invited me to this current CAS watercolor June challenge with the theme Something Blue as a guest designer!!!

I used to make many CAS cards as I started making cards but it changed with the time and now my cards are rarely CAS. So I was a bit concerned if I could make a card which is CAS enough for the challenge. I tried and hope my card for today meets the rules of the challenge.

Here is my card!

I started off by stamping the Love's Glow (40-685) by Penny Black on a Ranger watercolor cardstock in Salty Ocean, Broken China and Peacock Feather DI. I used Peacock Feather for the leaves and other two blue shades for the gorgeous flower. Love's Glow (40-685) is a cling stamp in the brushstroke style. So after stamping it looked already like finished with all the shades. But I went in with a waterbrush and the same DIs to add more details.

After the coloring was done I cut the bottom part of the panel along a line I drew and the outline of the image and set it aside.  I then ink blended the lower part of the cardbase in Salty Ocean, Broken China, Peacock Feather and Blueprint Sketch DIs. I added clear water splatter to add some texture. I also colored some thin strip of white cardstock in the same colors and added it to the bottom border of the front panel with the stamped flower.

I white heat embossed the sentiment from Dahlias set (30-159) on the cardbase and foam mounted the front panel and the card was finished!

Please don't forget to stop by CAS Watercolor Challenge blog to get more inspiration from the talented DT members!

Huge Thanks to Loll and CAS Watercolor team for having me as a guest!
Thank you all for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Poppy Edger - Penny Black

Hello everyone!!!

Hope you're having a restful weekend!

I'm popping in to share a CAS card I made for the CAS Watercolor April Challenge.  The theme is POPPY and It's perfect to give some love to my new Poppy Edger die (51-507) by Penny Black.

I die cut a Watercolor paper panel using Poppy Edger die (51-507) and colored the poppies in Alizarin Crimson Color Burst. I colored the stem and the seed in olive green, pthalo green and a bit of red.

I then cut a watercolor paper in A2 size and added red watercolor wash where the poppies will be placed. My inspiration was a drawing by Jan Harbon which I found on Pinterest.

The sentiment is from Grateful Sentiments (30-547) by Penny Black. I stamped it on the background panel in a black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. As a stem covered the letter t a little bit I wrote the part on the stem using a black pen :) ! The panel with the poppies was foam mounted and the card was finished!

I almost added a strip of red washi tape on the left edge but could resist doing it :). Hope it's CAS enough for the challenge!

I'm entering this card also into this week's Just Us Girls challenge #483 with the theme Off the Edge! Thanks for the reminder, Bobby :)!

Thank you so much for stopping by ! Hope you like my card!

Have a great day!

Tulip, Daffodil and Rose - EunJi's digital stamps

Hello again!

I'm popping in to share three floral cards I made last week with you. These floral images are digital stamps designed by EunJi which she has on her Etsy Shop DotBStamp. I colored them during the latest 30 day coloring challenge in September. And last week I finally could turn them into cards :).

The first card is showing the Botanical Parrot Tulip stamp. Parrot tulips are famous for their beautiful folds on petals. I tried to focus on the folds while coloring my red tulip :). I watercolored the tulip and the background.

The sentiment is from Happy Wishes set by Penny Black. I cut a rectangle frame from the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle dies from The Ton. The main panel was glued flat on the white cardbase and the frame was foam mounted. To finish off I added some clear sequins.

Next card is featuring botanical-daffodil set.

I colored this with Copic markers and added a little bit more details using Polychromos colored pencils. To show the yellow cardbase I narrowed the panel down. I cut the chevron pattern with a MFT border die and foam mounted it on the cardbase. The sentiment from Clearly Besotted was white heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock which I colored in green with Copic markers.

The rose on the last card is from Bouquet Rose Fussy Cut set.

I colored this cute bouquet with Koi watercolor and cut the panel with a Double Stitched Square Die from The Ton. I cut a corner of the panel, adhered a thin strip of gold glitter paper and mounted the panel on a square cardbase on which I stamped Minor Stripes (The Ton) in Soft Garden. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I gold heat embossed it on a circle panel on which I blended Soft Garden dye ink.

Hope you liked looking my cards!  I love EunJi's floral digital stamps!

I want to enter the tulip card into CAS Watercolor challenge which is Anything Goes this month.

And I'll link up the daffodil card at Addicted to Stamps and More #272: Make your Mark.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!
I have still a few cards to post. It's possible I pop in again :)!

Have a happy day!

Just Because

Hello again! :)

I've made this card today which has been in my mind already for several days.
The inspiration came from the October Inspiration Challenge over at Altenewblog.

I started off by stamping the leaves and flowers from Floral Shadow stamp by Altenew using Aqua markers and spray of clear water. I used the fall colors of the color palette from the October Inspiration Challenge at Altenewblog. I fussy cut all the images and added some gold embossing after I drew in using an embossing pen. The wood grain panel was dry embossed on which I blended Vintage Photo DI. Before I assembled all the elements as shown in the picture, I splattered some gold ink on my card base. I took a sentiment from Bejeweled stamp set also from Altenew, white heat embossed it on the same dark brown cardstock like the woodgrain panel, cut and blended some Vintage Photo DI as well and foam mounted on the card.
To finish off I added a few gold and clear sequins. I added some glass glitter on the center of the flower. Michele's beautiful card reminded me of the glass glitter I have in my stash for a while :).

That's it for today! I'm very happy with the result, which is not that often the case :)!
Hope you like this, too!
