CUTE!

How are you doing today!

I've made a card with CASology #217 (Cue Card: CUTE) in mind.
I think, the little children are the cutest!
The adorable scene is from the Photo Bomb stamp set by Mama Elephant.

I wanted the card to look like a polaroid picture of the happy little ones adhered on a wall.
The image was colored with Copic markers. I wrote the sentiment by hand for a real look :)! I added a dry embossed panel as the wall and some washi tape to attach the polaroid pic.

I'm entering this card also into SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes and Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

Thank you so much for visiting me today!

Happy Summer!

Hello and happy Saturday!

The Summer has arrived where I live. It is getting very hot, reason enough to make my first summer card this year:)!
As I saw Hannelie's sweet sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch #175, the flip-flops and a beach scene came into my mind .

I used an alcohol ink panel I made for this card. After I colored a glossy cardstock using some blue alcohol inks, I added some drops of blending solution on the applicator and tapped it all over the panel.
I tore the panel to show the white core representing the foam of breaking waves.
The beach was made by blending Antique Linen and Vintage Photo DI on the card base.
The flip-flop stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped them using StazOn black on the glossy paper and using black pigment ink on the card base.
The rectangle elements are five on the sketch but I didn't want to have them unpaired. So I stamped one flip-flop on the beach using Vintage photo and added one purple rhinestone on it.
The sentiment Summer is my handwriting. I made it as a cutting file and cut with my Cricut from a blue glitter CS and four times from a white CS for dimension. The happy is from Avery Elle.
To finish off I added Glossy Accents on the strip of the flip-flops.

As I made this card I had the CASology challenge also in mind. They celebrate the 200th Challenge this week with the theme CAS!  Huge Congratulations!

And I want to enter this card into Addicted to Stamps and More #196, as they have Anything Goes week.

Thank you all for coming!

My post today will be the last one this Summer. I hope I can come back in October at the latest.
I will be outside the US in Summer with my family without my crafting supplies after our move in three weeks.

I hope you all have a happy and cool Summer or warm Winter :)!!!

TEAR

Hello, did you all have a good start into a new week?
Today I have a card for CASology #197 to share with you. The cue word this week is TEAR.

I used a torn element to represent the cue card.
I tore a part of the front panel and roll it to wrap my flower bouquet. I glued a pattern paper on the card base and on the wrap. The flowers are from Fresh cut Florals stamp set by Wplus9. Some were stamped on the panel and some flowers and greenery were stamped on a piece of white CS and fussy cut.
After I arranged the flowers, I added some Stickles on the center of them.
The sentiment from Paper Smooches was stamped in black and clear heat embossed.

I'm entering this card also into SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge and SimonSaysStamp Work it Wednesday, where the theme is Flowers.

Sprinkle

Hello and welcome!

The cue word for this week at CASology #195 is SPRINKLE.

I took the word itself and made a card which has a sprinkled donut on it :).

The sentiment, a quote found on internet, was computer generated (Font: Sofia, BD Cartoon Shout). To make the donut I dry embossed a piece of brown CS and cut it in the shape of a donut. The chocolate glaze was made using a dark brown CS and lots of  Glossy Accents. I then sprinkled some beads on it.

I want to enter this card also into the SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Guest designing at CASology

Hello and happy Tuesday!

I am so excited today, as today's card is my part as a guest designer for this week's CASology challenge.
CASology is one of my favorite challenges, where I try to play along every week. I love CASology, because it gives me the opportunity to think about trivial things. And the brainstorming about the cue card might keep my brain young, hopefully :).

This week's cue word is SPROUT.
My idea was that even a tiny sprout has the potential to become a whole tree.
And I thought the sentiment from Papertreyink underlines my idea so well.

The tree image is a stamp from Woodware. I stamped it in two shades of brown. I then drew an outline around the tree with a pencil to keep the leaves in shape and added leaves using Copic markers. The sprout was cut with my Cricut. The sentiment was stamped in brown at first. Then I inked up the word "worth" using black ink and stamped it again with the help of Misti. I adhered two strips of CS in soft green on both sides of the card base, a piece of green foiled CS where the sprout would be and mounted the front panel using some foam tape. To finish off the card I added two green rhinestones.

Thank you all for visiting my blog today and I hope you could find some crafty time to join in the fun at CASology this week!
So Suzy Stamps is the generous sponser this week over at CASology!

CAS(E) this Sketch #165 & CASology #191 Washi

Today I have a card to share with you which I made with two challenges in mind, CAS(E) this Sketch #165 and CASology #191: Washi.

The flower and leaves are from the Doodled Flowers stamp set by Happy little stampers. I made them in two layers, one white heat embossed on a vellum and one stamped in pink (flower) and green (leaves) on a white CS on which I blended DIs. The divided front panel is a pattern paper which I mounted with some foam tape on the card base. I adhered woodgrain patterned olive green washi tape between the divided front panel to make the bar in the sketch. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I stamped it using black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. I then rounded the corners and added a yellow rhinestone on the center of the flower.

I want to link up this card also at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes Challenge.

Polka Dot Umbrella

A very quick post for this easter sunday!

This card was made for the Less is More challenge #269: Polka Dots and CASology #190: Weather.
I thought a polka dot patterned umbrella should fit into both challenges.

I found this wise quote on the internet and printed it on a white CS. I used Bernardo Moda Bold for "a Mind is like an Umbrella" and  LaurenScript for "only useful when open". The umbrella is from Penny Black. I paper pieced a rainbow polka dot patterned paper on the umbrella and coated it with Shimmer Pico Embellisher.

Hope you are having a happy easter sunday!

Doodle

Hello!

Today I have a doodled card to share with you:).
This week's cue word over at CASology is DOODLE!
This gives me a good opportunity to doodle some flowers on alcohol ink circles, which I wanted to give a try since I have my alcohol inks.

A very simple one!
I dropped some alcohol inks (Poppyfield, Shell pink, Sunshine yellow) on a glossy CS and doodled flowers, stems and leaves using white, green and silver gel pens.
The sentiment is from Paper smooches. I stamped it using StazOn black ink.

On my second card I used only red and pink without yellow.

I want to enter the second card into CASoloy #189: Doodle and the first one into Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!
Have a great day!

Love

Hello and happy sunday!

Today I have ''LOVE" themed card to share with you.
The Valentine's day is right around the corner. I realized it while I was making 30 valentine's day cards for the classmates of my son yesterday:).

To start off I made a cutting file for the waterdroplets and the heart flower.  I blended Twisted Citron and Salty Ocean DIs on a White CS before I cut the image with my Cricut. I then adhered the panel with double sided tape on a card base and burnished the glitter into the positive space with my finger. I drew the watering can by hand using black glaze pen and filled it with water using Stardust Stickles. I added a thin strip of glitter on a side using thin double sided tape and glitter.
The sentiment 'Love' was written by hand and cut 4 times from a white CS with Cricut.
I colored the Love in green using DIs, stacked the cuts and adhered it beneath the watering can.
I wrote then 'with' by hand.
I think the Lyric of the "Mind Games" by John Lennon says very well what I intended to depict with this card. "Love is the flower you've got to let grow" is the quote given to us for inspiration at the latest Time Out Challenge.

Coloring

Hello! I hope you are all having a restful weekend!
Today I'm sharing some cards I made during practicing coloring with copic markers and colored pencils.

I used the blossom from the Beautiful Friend stamp set by Clearly Besotted. This image was stamped using Angel Pink and Bamboo Leaves Memento inks first, before I colored them. After finishing with coloring, I heat embossed the image using Liquid Platinum EP with the help of the Misti Tool.
Sentiments are from Altenew, Cricut store and Hero Arts.

1. Copic coloring

Here I colored the image using Copic markers. I then cut the circle with my Cricut. The circle was glued flat on the card base. I stenciled some white Embossing paste on the negative panel for more interest. I traced the sentiment with silver and gold gel pen after I stamped it. I added thin strips of silver glitter CS on both sides and mounted the negative panel using foam tape on the card base.

2. Prismacolor Colored Pencils

Here I used only Prismacolor pencils to color the image. The front panel was cut from a Tutu pink CS. I cut the window using Distressed Edges die and mounted the front panel using foam tape on the card base.
The sentiment from Cricut store was cut with my Cricut from a piece of CS which was blended in purple and pink and splattered with water.

3. Polychromos colored pencils

For this and the 5.th card I used only Polychromos pencils.

Here I colored the image on the card base. After coloring I splattered some pink ink while I coverd the image with a mask. The front panel with circle window was cut with my Cricut. I then stamped the image on the same place with the help of the Misti and heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum without coloring. The panel was dry embossed using Wave EF from We R Memory Keepers and mounted on the card base using foam tape.
The sentiment was stamped, heat embossed in silver on a pink pattern paper and mounted flat on the card.

4. Copic + Polychromos pencils

I colored the image with Copics first and added details using colored pencils. Unfortunately the heat embossed image was not exactly on the first stamped image, as I failed to place the paper correctly on my Misti. I cut the leaves partly before I glued the piece of CS with the image on the card base, so they could placed over the front panel. Here I made the circle window of the front panel more central. The front panel was dry embossed using another EF from the Wave EF set and mounted using foam tape. For the banner I blended a piece of white CS with Tattered rose and Picked raspberry DIs, stamped and silver heat embossed the sentiment and cut it using a banner die from Spellbinders.

5. Polychromos colored pencils

This time I fussy cut the colored image by hand. I blended some blue DIs on the card base. I then cut the front panel with a circle window with my Cricut, dry embossed it using Gemstone EF and mounted it on the card base using foam tape. I placed the fussy cut image as shown in the picture.

After all the coloring practice, I couldn't see any considerable difference between the coloring methods :).
Maybe it's not the medium... but the skill that makes difference.
So eventually it was not a significant comparison because of lack of my skill :)

I want to enter my second card into the Muse Challenge: This week's Muse is Jenni Murray and here is her beautiful card!

CLEARED

Hello!
I want to show you a Kitty card today.
The idea for this card came into my mind while I was brainstorming on the cue card of the latest CASology, CLEAR.
A hugry Kitty has cleared his bowl full of fishes. And the fishes except for the one that fell out of the bowl are now....

It is a kinda mini shaker card. The kitty and the bowl are from the Catitude stamp by MFT.  I stamped them using Antique Linen Distress ink on a scrap CS, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them.
I then cut the belly part of the kitty out and glued an acetate sheet, framed the part using foam tape, filled it with some glitter fishes which I cut by hand and adhered an in grey blended CS as the background of the "window". I added bright brown pattern paper on the bottom part as the floor and sponged some silver ink on the area where the floor meets the wall. After I drew the shadows I mounted the shaker Kitty, the bowl and a fish on the card.
The sentiment from Paper Smooches was stamped in black and clear heat embossed. A purple heart which was decorated with Glossy accents was the final touch.
