Happy Birthday from a bunny

Hello and happy Friday!

Today I have one more cute card following yesterday to share with you :).
It is my take on the sketch from MFT sketch challenge #277.

I turned the three circles of the sketch into balloons and made a mini birthday shaker card with them.
To start off I made a cutting file for the front panel and cut it from a white CS with my Cricut, after I blended the sky using cloud masks. I then stamped a bunny from somebunny stamp set from MFT and colored her using Copic markers. I gave her a yellow bow matching her yellow dress. I glued a piece of acetate sheet on the back of the front panel. I then prepared the card base by stamping a border stamp from MFT in yellow on the left side and blending pink, yellow and blue DIs for the balloons. After I added the tiny heart glitters I assembled the shaker card together. The sentiment from the same stamp set was integrated in a string which I drew with a black pen.

I'm entering this card also at
Seize the Birthday (Anything Goes),
Time Out #55 (Celebrations with optional twist of die cutting)
I hope cutting with Cricut can be counted as the twist. :)

I knead you

Hello!

I want to share a card with you today, which I made yesterday for the MFT Sketch Challenge #275.
I used the I knead you stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I started by making a cutting file for the front panel with the fish bowl. I cut this panel from a white CS, on which I added some ink blending in silver and dry embossed using wave EF.  The cat and fishes were stamped using black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. I added some glitter on the fishes.
I then blended Tumbled glass DI on my white card base after masking the water surface, mounted the plaid pattern paper on a side of the card base and glued two fishes flat, two fishes using foam tape on the water. I adhered an acetate sheet representing the fish bowl on the back of the front panel, a very thin strip of an orange CS on a side and then mounted the front panel onto the card base using foam tape.
To finish off I placed the cat and the sentiment and added a few sequins.

home sweet home

Hello and welcome to my blog!!!

Today I have a card to share with you which I've made with the sketch from the MFT sketch challenge #268. The theme is "Home", the code word over at Addicted to CAS #82.

The proud new home owner is a dog from the MFT You make My Tail Wag stamp set.  I put a pink bow from Avery Elle on the new house. The dog, dog house and the bowl were colored using Copic markers and fussy cut. The sentiment strip was made with the help of my computer and adhered flat on the card base which I sponged using Distress inks. The card base got also some splatter of pearl-water mix. The dog and the bowl were adhered using foam tape for some dimension. The hooray! sentiment is from Hero Arts.

CLEARED

Hello!
I want to show you a Kitty card today.
The idea for this card came into my mind while I was brainstorming on the cue card of the latest CASology, CLEAR.
A hugry Kitty has cleared his bowl full of fishes. And the fishes except for the one that fell out of the bowl are now....

It is a kinda mini shaker card. The kitty and the bowl are from the Catitude stamp by MFT.  I stamped them using Antique Linen Distress ink on a scrap CS, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them.
I then cut the belly part of the kitty out and glued an acetate sheet, framed the part using foam tape, filled it with some glitter fishes which I cut by hand and adhered an in grey blended CS as the background of the "window". I added bright brown pattern paper on the bottom part as the floor and sponged some silver ink on the area where the floor meets the wall. After I drew the shadows I mounted the shaker Kitty, the bowl and a fish on the card.
The sentiment from Paper Smooches was stamped in black and clear heat embossed. A purple heart which was decorated with Glossy accents was the final touch.

Birthday card with an adorable elephant

Happy friday!

Today I want to share a card with you which I've made using the Adorable Elephants stamp set from MFT.
To make this card I took the sketch from the latest MFT Sketch challenge #263, and used the color palette of the ColourQ #324 .

To start off I cut circles in various size from a scrap paper using my Cricut. I used it as a stencil to sponge some Distress inks (Mowed lawn, Twisted citron, Tumbled glass, Peacock feather) on the card base so that it can show the horizontal panel in the sketch. The elephant was stamped in black and colored with copics which I've got as a christmas gift :)!!! It was my first try with this marker. After I fussy cut the elephant, I cut a balloon from a silver glitter paper, tied some soft green twine on the balloon and gave it to the elephant. I mounted the elephant and the balloon using some foam tape.
The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I stamped it on a vellum using StazOn black ink, cut to a banner and adhered it slightly curled on the card base and to the twine.
To finish off the card I added some clear sequins and colored a shadow of the floating elephant with copics.

When I was making this card, I had some other challenges in mind where I love to play along.

Merry Everything

The next card I'm sharing today is for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #255.
Here is what I came up with.

To start off my card I die cut my card base using Distressed Edges die from Spellbinders and glued an acetate sheet on the back.
I used You Make My Tail Wag stamp set to make a front and back image. I stamped the front and back images of the dog on a white CS in grey as second generation and colored them using colored pencils. The santa hat is from Jingle All the Way set. I then fussy cut the colored images.
For the fence I used light brown CS and Hardwood stamp from Stampin'up. After I blended the edges using Distress ink, I adhered the fence, dog images and santa hat on the acetate as shown in the photo. The background was made by masking and blending using Distress inks.
The sentiment was stamped in black and clear heat embossed. I added black dots using my gel pen.
