Bloom Rose - EunJi's Digital Stamp

Hello everyone!

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you. They are featuring EunJi's new digital stamp set: Bloom Rose. Bloom Rose set contains two gorgeous and unique rose diffuser images, one large rose background and one single rose image. I used the rose diffuser images for today's cards. You can see EunJi's beautiful cards using other stamps on her blog

Before I started printing, I prepared the image file by cutting them into individual images using GIMP.

I kept my first card simple. I printed the diffuser bottle with a rose on Canson mixed media paper and watercolored the image. I printed it with a reduced opacity so the lines look subtle. I'm using Keynote app. It's very handy as you can adjust quite everything on it.

After done coloring I cut one side of the panel using a border die from A2 Scalloped Borders 3 by spellbinders, tied some natural twine around the panel and foam mounted it on a yellow cardbase.
The sentiment from Painted Peonies by The Ton was gold heat embossed on some yellow cardstock, cut with a stitched circle die and added onto the twine. I added some yellow and clear sequins to finish off the card.

This is the second card.

To print the image for the second card I cut out the diffuser bottle and the butterflies on GIMP and placed them as I wanted on a Keynote page. The paper is Canson mixed media paper, which I use if I want to watercolor the digital images.

I used Color Burst to watercolor the image. After done coloring I added golden and white dots using gel pens, and doodled some swirls and dots on the butterflies.

I cut the panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die (The Ton). I trimmed the edges a bit to make the panel slightly smaller than A2 to show the hot pink cardbase on the right side and the bottom of the card.

The sentiment is from Grateful Heart by Penny Black. I stamped it directly onto the colored panel in Noir. I finished off the card by adding some iridescent and clear sequins.

Hope you stop by EunJi's blog for more inspiration! She posted a few amazing cards using Bloom Rose stamp set!!!

I'm entering the second card into SimonSayStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes!

Lily - EunJi's Digital Stamp

Hello everyone!

Eunji has released two new digital stamps this month and invited me to play with them. One of the new release stamps is LILY! You can take a look at her gorgeous samples and other digital stamps on her Etsy shop: DotBstamp !!! Hope you could stop by! On her blog you can learn how she watercolored this beautiful lily image!

This stamp includes two lily images. I chose the simple one for my card.

I placed 4 copies of the image on my panel using Keynote app and printed it on a Neenah solar white cardstock (80lb). I started coloring three lilies of them in black and white using warm gray Copic markers.

I then colored the last lily in pink. My reference flower was a pink stargazer lily. I used R32, 35, 46, 59 and RV 000, 02, 04 for the lily flower/ YG01, 21 and 13 for the leaves and buds/ G05, 07, 28 for the stem. I colored the background in G21, G85, G99 and blended the color with colorless blender.

I cut the panel using three Double Stitched Rectangle dies to make a frame. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Always Cherry Blossoms set by The Ton on the central panel.  I adhered transparent glitter adhesive paper by The Ton on the frame and foam mounted it. Other parts of the panel were mounted flat on the cardbase. I drew white shade on the sentiment to pop it off a little bit.

Hope you enjoyed today's card! I just love EunJi's artistic design!

I want to enter this card with the sparkly frame into the SimonSaysStamp Wednesday challenge: Sparkle and Shine!

Simple Valentine's Day Cards

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!!

I needed Valentine's day cards for my kid's school. So I decided to go with a CAS design for a mass production.

I made 4 inch square cards and matching envelopes. My Cricut was a great help!

I stamped the peony cluster from Timeless Peonies Print by The Ton on the right bottom corner of the cardbase in Rose Quartz, Soft Garnet and Red Sangria hybrid ink. I stamped the leaves in gray using Crystal Pewter and Smoky Quartz.

I then cut the heart from a soft pink cardstock with Cricut and cut out the part of the heart where the heart overlap the peony cluster using coordinating die for Timeless Peonies Print. XOXO was silver heat embossed on the heart. The heart was foam mounted and the card was done!!!

I want to enter this card into two challenges!

Ice Winter - EunJi's Digital Stamp

Hello everyone!

Today I want to share a card with you I made using one of EunJi's digital stamps which were released in November. It is a digital stamp set with cute animals for some wintery scene.

Ice Winter
I printed the critters and colored them with Copic markers, added some accents using glitter pens and a white gel pen and fussy cut them out.

I then white heat embossed a starry background stamp from Hero Arts on Canson Watercolor paper. I watercolored the night sky in payne's gray, purple and yellow. I foam mounted the panel on a white cardbase. The ground for the animals was cut from a brown cardstock. I dabbed Hampton white pigment ink on it using a dauber representing some snow and foam mounted it onto the card. The fussy cut animals enjoying the campfire are added using some foam adhesives as well.  The sentiment is from Folk Art Christmas Tree set from The Ton.  I stamped it in Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it on a white banner.

As the furry friends are roasting marshmallows I'll enter this card into SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme:  Food and/or Drink :)!

Thank you so much for looking!
Wishing you all a restful weekend!

Hot & Spicy Colors - LIM 349

Hello!

Over at Less is More we are asked to use Hot and Spicy Colors on our projects. As I read the theme, I thought it's a great chance to make one more Christmas card :)!

I did partial die cutting a few times but never cut a part of the cardbase out. After I saw  Jennifer McGuire's pretty projects using this technique, I wanted to give it a try.

And this is my card. The red is darker IRL than in the picture.

I started by stamping Christmas Mini Cluster by The Ton in Hampton White pigment ink on the dark red cardbase.  I colored the poinsettias with Prismacolor colored pencils and added glitter using Spica glitter pens. I then die cut the bottom part of the image using coordinating die and cut the lines with a craft knife. I white heat embossed the sentiment and added the lines in red and clear glitter pens. I glued a white panel cut with Double stitched rectangle die inside the card. To finish off I added some dots with red Pico embellisher.

I hoped the close up below shows the sparkle of the glitter pen.

The theme at SimonSaysStamp Wednesday challenge is Christmas. So I'll enter this over there as well.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I really appreciate your lovely comments :)!
Have a wonderful day!

One more floral card :) - Chrysanthemum

Hello everyone!

I'm popping in to share a floral card with you today. I'm trying to color floral images during current The Dailymarker 30 day Coloring challenge as often as I can. And the digital floral stamps by EunJi, which she is releasing during September, are just right for this challenge.

The digi-stamp on my card is called Botanical Chrysanthemum.  If you want to see the gorgeous creation by Eunji click here.

And this is my card!

When I color flowers, I always google for it to see the color combination, the highlights, shades, the veins on the petals etc. For the Chrysanthemum of my card I chose this picture as my reference.

I used R81, R83, R85 and R 89 to color the Chrysanthemum flower. For the leaves and stem I used various YR colors. But I didn't like how they turned out and corrected them using Polychromos colored pencils. The gold heat embossed sentiment is from Large Florals: Carnation set by The Ton. I cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die and foam mounted it on a dark red cardbase.

To finish off I added clear WOS on the flower and some dew drops using Glossy Accents.

I really love the colors of R81 - 89 Copics, kinda burgundy red!

I'm going to enter this card into Addicted to CAS #120: Florals and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Clean and Simple.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Large Peony 4 - Coloring

Hello everyone!
Today I have two cards to share with you on which I colored the same Large Peony flower in two different ways. The stamp I used is by The Ton and is called Large Peony 4.

On my first card I colored the peony using gray and black colored pencils.

To start off I stamped the image in Noir. I masked off the flower and stamped the leaves as well. I then colored them using Payne's Grey, Cold Grey V and Black Polychromos colored pencils. I then splattered some gold watercolor from FineTec. The frame was cut using Deckled Rectangles die from Spellbinders from some white cardstock. I gold heat embossed it and foam mounted it on the front panel. The word hugs was cut and gold heat embossed. I cut it once again from some black fun foam to give the sentiment some dimension.

On my second card I watercolored the image using Zig Brush markers.

I wanted to do no-line coloring. So I started by stamping the peony in Ballet Slippers and the leaves in Soft Garden on Bristol smooth paper. Unfortunately the peony stamp wasn't clean and it was stamped in gray mixed with pink color...  I colored the image using Zig Brush markers.

After done with coloring I cut a L-shaped piece from a panel on which I blended green and blue inks. To put it underneath the flower image I cut the outline of the lower part of my peony. After I adhered the L-shaped piece on the colored panel, I mounted it flat on my cardbase. For some dimension I added foam adhesives under the bottom part of my image. The sentiment is from Large Peony 4 as well. I stamped it in Noir. To finish off I added some clear and glitter droplets using Nuvo Drops.

I've made a coloring video. You can watch it below or on my YouTube Channel. It's hard to explain how I color, as I have no systematic approach while I'm coloring. Usually I pick a picture or drawing on google or pinterest as my reference and try to recreate what I see. Here I took my first card for my reference to color the folds of the petals. I'm using a black velvet silver brush 4.

I have one more coloring video to share. My 5yo daughter Yerin wanted to have a video of her coloring process like mom and like other cardmakers on YouTube :). So we made this! I've shared a short version of it on Instagram. Yerin was so happy and proud of herself, as she've got so many positive comments. Thank you so much, if you watched this on Instagram !!!

Hope you enjoyed my cards and video today!

I want to enter my first card into Addicted to Stamps and More #252: Make your Mark and the second one into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

with Love

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a nice day!
I enjoyed sunny spring weather over the long weekend. Today it's a bit cloudy but okay.

I made a floral card for Less is More #316 and SimonSaysStamp Wednesday challenge: Fantastic Florals. The theme at Less is More is Alphabet. So I integrated a big L of my "with Love" sentiment into my Beautiful Dahlias Bouquet from WPlus9.

First I colored clear heat embossed bouquet with Zig brush markers. I blended the colors with clear Wink of Stella. I then sketched the L with a pencil and cut it out. I cut along the outline of the big dahlia to keep it intact on my front panel. The open lower case alphabets are from Lawn Fawn. I clear heat embossed them too and colored them with Zig markers and then added "with" in light gray. I glued the cut out L flat on my card base and the front panel using some foam adhesive. I finished off my card with some sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Wishing you all a happy week!

LIM - Balloons/ ATCAS - Wish/ ATSM - Make Your Mark

Hello and happy Tuesday(or Wednesday :))!

Today I have three cards to share with you.
It's been long since I played along at Less is More challenge last time. This week I'm trying to join in my favorite challenges again. The recipe at Less is More #313 (Balloons) gave me a chance to use this adorable stamp by Penny Black, which I purchased a while back but haven't used yet.

I stamped the doggy with a balloon in black Memento ink on a white card stock and colored it using Copic markers. The doggy was colored after the favorite fluffy doggy of my daughter. And pink is her favorite color :). The sentiment in black is from Clearly Besotted. I cut out the middle part of the panel to show the cloudy sky on the card base, which I made by blending some blue DIs on a cloud mask. For more shine I added Shimmer Pico on the balloon and the nose of the doggy. I finished off the card with two enamel dots.

Next two cards were made after watching some of video tutorials by Kelly Latevola. I love her colorful and bold style and the dimension she creates on her one layer card.
The stamp is Flower Cascade by Penny Black.

This card is a one layer card in Kelly's style. I created the background after masking the image by blending DIs in rainbow colors and adding splatters of clear water and white ink. Coloring was done with Copic markers. I added gray shades along the outlines and some white accents here and there using a white gel pen. The sentiment from Penny Black was stamped in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed. I added white outline to it. The flowers got a coat of Wink of Stella.

The last card is for the Addicted to CAS #103: WISH.

The flower cascade was done like the previous card. But for a CAS look I cut out the image and foam mounted it on a white card base. I then took a circle sentiment from SimonSaysStamp and stamped it three times in ombre gray shades. The die cut wishing is also from SSS. I cut it out from a piece of white cardstock on which I blended DIs in rainbow colors. I cut a same sentiment from a yellow fun foam to add it under my die cut sentiment for some dimension.

I'm happy with how they turned out. I want to say thank you to Kelly for her fabulous video tutorials!!!

I want to enter my second card into Addicted to Stamps and More #227: Make Your Mark and the last one into SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
