Spellbinders - Card Kit of the Month January 2019

Hello folks!!! Happy New Year!!!

Hope your 2019 is off to a great start! Today I have a special post to show you the new Monthly Card Kit by Spellbinders. The January Card Kit is here!
This month's You're My Type Card Kit includes a 6x6 paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, tons of embellishments, and more!

I have the pleasure to play with the kit! And I can say, it is perfect to send some love to your family and friends! There are even 3D foam tapes and a double sided tape so you can start making cards right away!

I have 4 cards to share with you, which I made using the kit only! Let's take a look!

For this card I used the white cardbase, 6x6 patterned papers and some of the die-cut shapes.

I cut the floral patterned paper slightly smaller than A2 size and adhered it flat on the cardbase.
The pink chevron paper was cut in a circle, matted with a larger white circle and foam mounted on the card. The sentiment die cut was then foam mounted on the circle with the little glittery heart!

To finish off I added three enamel dots, also included in the kit!

For the second card I used the 3-D stickers along with the pink diagonal striped patterned paper.

It was a super quick and easy card again. I cut the striped patterned paper, backed it with some white cardstock and foam mounted it on the pink cardbase from the kit. I added two strips of pink cardstock along with the sentiment strip. The sentiment is from You're My Type clear stamp set of the kit. I stamped it in a black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. I then foam mounted the typewriter and three 3D hearts. For more shine I covered the hearts with glittery Stickles.

Next card is showcasing the cute die set of the Kit. In the die set are included a typewriter, small flowers, branches, hearts and adorable sentiments.

For the background I chose a overall printed dark pink paper. I adhered it on the red cardbase from the kit along with a thin strip of blue-gray patterned paper. To add more interest and movement I've created a bokeh background using a white pigment ink and diy-circle stencil.

The typewriter was cut from a yellow cardstock also from the kit, stacked on two more die cuts and adhered on the card. the sentiment is from You're My Type clear stamp set of the kit. I stamped it in black ink on a printer paper and cut it using a rectangle die from the kit which perfectly fit in the slit of the typewriter.
The small flowers, branches and hearts were cut from some white cardstock and colored using Copic markers. To finish off the card I covered the hearts with Glossy Accents and added some enamel dots from the kit on the center of the flowers.

My last card is my favorite from today's cards.

To make this card I used mainly the die cut shapes. First I made the sky background by blending Tumbled Glass DI on the white cardstock from the kit. I cut the clouds from some printer paper to make cloudy sky.  I then stamped the sentiment from  You're My Type clear stamp in black pigment ink on the background panel and clear heat embossed it. I added a silver heat embossed sentiment saying"with loads of love" on the hot air balloon as well. I adhered the heart string underneath the hot air balloon after cutting out a bird holding the end of the string and foam mounted it on the background.
To finish off the card I scattered some of the sequins from the kit.

That's it from me today :)! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards :)!

I had a blast to play with the Monthly Card Kit by Spellbinders!!! It was so easy to make cards as there are so many options in the kit! Hope I was able to inspire you with my cards!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Wishing you all a wonderful year filled with health, joy and  happiness!

Spellbinders - SHAPEABILITIES Nordic Blooms & Dala Horse

Hello everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today. Spellbinders invited me to play with some of their products. Nordic Blooms and Dala Horse are designed by Lene Lok in a style of Scandinavian folk art.

My first card is featuring Shapeabilities Nordic Blooms dies. You can combine several flower and stem designs as you want.

I left the white die cuts uncolored and added them onto an ombre navy blue background.

To create the background I colored a 6.5"x 4" watercolor paper panel in payne's gray and french ultramarine. I colored the background in several layers after drying previous layer using my heat gun. After the panel was finished and dry I drew the golden lines using metallic watercolor.

I cut the flowers and the stems from white cardstock three times, stack them together and glued them onto the card as shown in the picture. The sentiment from Clearly Besotted was white heat embossed.  I added three blue rhinestones to finish off the card.

Next card is a CAS card with Shapeabilities Dala Horse as the main element.

I've found several color combinations of dalecarlian horses on google, but decided to go with the traditional red.

I cut the Dala Horse from white cardstock and colored it using Sharpie markers in red and yellow. I cut two more horses to stack them up for more dimension.

I chose some yellow patterned paper to stamp the sentiment from Paper Smooches on it. I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. On the white panel I blended yellow DOX inks very lightly and cut the bottom edge using one of the A2 Scalloped Borders Three dies.

I adhered the yellow panel with sentiment on a white cardbase, foam mounted the white panel on it and added the Dala Horse. And finished is the CAS card.

Usually I make cards with stamped images but I had so much fun to play with dies for a change and am quite happy with the results too :) !

Wishing you all a great week ahead!
Hugs,
TaeEun

Sketched Blooms - Spellbinders Die D-Lites

Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a great week so far!

Today I have a birthday shaker card to share with you. I used Sketched Blooms2 Die D-Lites by Spellbinders to make this cute floral shaker card. My daughter's 6th birthday is coming next week and I'm sure she will love this :)!

Spellbinders generously sent me two Die D-Lites die sets to play with. The other set is called Build A Terrarium and I shared a card featuring it recently.

I started off by making the frame with two white blooms. I cut two different flowers using Sketched Blooms2 Die D-Lites from white cardstock and cut the frame using A2 Distressed Edges Card Creater Dies by Spellbinders as well from some white cardstock. I adhered a clear acetate sheet behind the frame and added the blooms on the acetate.

Next I prepared the background. I traced the frame on a A2 sized watercolor panel using a pencil so that I have a guide.  I "smooshed" Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover DOX for the green and Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick DOX as the flowers on the background panel. For the sky I blended Broken China and Salty Ocean DOX and splattered pearlized water. I drew grasses using alcohol markers only inside of the frame and blended more green DOX outside of the frame.

I cut one more bloom from some white cardstock and colored the tiny pieces from the die cut using alcohol markers. I stacked two bloom diecuts together on the background panel and inlaid the colored small pieces onto their places.

I then assembled the shaker card. I used some clear iridescent sequins and Passion Flower mix from Lucy's cards to fill my shaker.

The sentiment by Clearly Besotted was stamped in StazOn black ink onto the acetate.

Huge thanks to Spellbinders for inviting me to play with their products!
I had lots of fun!

Thank you everyone for stopping by today!
Have a happy day!
Hugs,
TaeEun

Sweet Terrarium - Spellbinders Die D-Lites

Hello everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Today I have a card to share I made using Spellbinders Die D-Lites dies.
Spellbinders generously sent me two Die D-Lites die sets to play with. One of them is called Build A Terrarium. It contains dies for three cute cacti and elements for a terrarium.

I created a DIY background pattern using three cacti and placed a terrarium with one cactus as my main image onto the center of my card.

First I drew the terrarium border on my watercolor paper panel with a pencil as a guide. I then die cut the cacti from the panel. I watercolored the die cut cacti in light green and the background of the terrarium like night sky in purple and prussian blue. I splattered some white ink on that too.  I trimmed the panel down and mounted it on a gray cardbase and inlaid the colored cacti back into their places.

The terrarium border was cut four times from white cardstock and once from a silver shimmer cardstock. I stacked them all together for some dimension. I glued the terrarium onto the card, added the brown dirt part and adhered a white cactus, stacked on two other die cuts, onto it's place.
The sentiment is from Sweet Smiles set by Lawn Fawn. I gold heat embossed it on a banner cut using a Ribbon Banner from Spellbinders. The ends of the banner were glued on the card and the center was raised using some foam adhesives. I finished off the card by adding two red rhinestones on the white cactus as its flowers (Sure!  it is a floral card, folks :) !!!).
