The Flower Challenge #14 - CAS Reminder

Hello again!

I'm popping in to share two CAS (clean and simple) cards with you! The theme of November at The Flower Challenge is CAS. I've made two cards using EunJi's digital stamp Camelia, which I showed in this post on Monday.

I foiled the image so I have golden outlines, not black ones. After I printed the images in black on some mixed media paper I covered it with Thermoweb gold foil and ran it through a laminator. I should have done it two times. After only once it left some areas without foil, as you can see in the close up picture.

I colored the images using watercolor and fussy cut them all out. The gold foiled purple panel, which I used for background is a patterned paper. The white front panel was cut along the line of the floral image and I added a few score lines for some interest. The front panel is foam mounted on the cardbase. I added the floral image onto the card and added the purple sentiment banner. The white heat embossed sentiment is from Daffodil Greetings set from The Ton.

My second card was made in the same way like the first one. I arranged the floral elements here and cut the front panel along the axis of the arrangement.

So now it's your turn!
Create some CAS floral card and link up in the gallery at The Flower Challenge :)!

Bright Paeonia & Camelia - EunJi's digital stamps

Hello everyone! Hope you had a restful weekend.

Today I have two cards to share with you. I'm guest designing for EunJi's digital stamps. She released 4 stamp sets on her Etsy shop DotBStamp last week and today's cards are featuring Bright Paeonia and Camelia from the new release.

On my first card I watercolored the Bright Paeonia.

I printed the image in gray on a mixed media paper and watercolored it. I kept the flower in yellow and orange with a little of coral color and added gold on the flower center. The sentiment, stamped in Noir, is from Celebration Rose Cluster set from The Ton. I sprayed Sparkle Shimmer Spritz all over the panel.  I die cut the colored panel with a Distressed Edges die from Spellbinders and foam mounted it on the kraft cardbase. Some Medallion Gold sequins are my finishing touch.

For my second card I used one of the images from Camelia.

The image was printed in gray on a mixed media paper. I watercolored the camelia in pink and purple. This time I colored the petals almost flat so the flower has a simple look. I added sparkle using a clear glitter pen, drew the outline in gray Spica Glitter pen and added white accents using a white gel pen. To pop up the image I added gray shade using C Copics. I cut the right edge of the panel and glued it flat on the cardbase on which I adhered a strip of purple glitter paper. The sentiment from Basic Labels set from The Ton was stamped in Grape Crush and foam mounted onto the card. The purple glitter strip and purple bakers twine embellish the sentiment label. To finish off I scattered some sequins from Valentine Icing, Royal Garden Party and Violet Sprinkle Couture Mix.

Hope you enjoyed looking today's cards :)! EunJi is sharing her gorgeous cards made using Camelia and Bright Paeonia sets on her blog! So hope you could stop by her blog!

I want to enter the first card into Addicted to Stamps and More #267: Make your Mark.

Thank you so much for looking!

Seize the Birthday - Circles

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far!

Today is Seize the Birthday Thursday :)! And of course I have a birthday card to share with you :)!

The Toppings option for this challenge is CIRCLES !
As always you may link up any newly created birthday card in our gallery, if you want to.

I have created three circle windows on my card.

To start off I stamped Rose Bouquet from The Ton's October Release in Tattered Rose and twisted Citron DI on Bristol Smooth paper, watercolored, and fussy cut them. The front panel with circle windows was cut with my Cricut and dry embossed using Fabric Weave EF by Spellbinders.
To create the blended background I used Twisted Citron, Peacock Feather, Fossilized Amber and Broken China DOX. The front panel was foam mounted on the cardbase. I then placed the bouquets into the circle windows. The banner is from Thankful Cornucopia set from The Ton and the sentiment is from Penned Sentiments also from The Ton. I gold heat embossed them and cut the banner using coordinating die. After I glued the banner onto the card, I added some clear Dew Drops to finish off the card.

That's it from my side. Please hop over to the Seize the Birthday Blog. There are gorgeous inspiration cards from my amazing team mates and our surprise party guest Becca Cruger waiting for you!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you play along!

The Flower Challenge #14 - CAS

Hello everyone!

A new challenge at The Flower Challenge has started today! The theme for this month is CAS (Clean and Simple).

This is my take on our cue word.

This Daffodil Greetings stamp set is from The Ton. It was an incentive gift in October Release and will be available soon.
I started by stamping the image in copic-friendly Caviar Hybrid ink. After I masked the image and the sides of the image using torn papers, I blended Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Peacock Feather and Broken China DI, splattered clear water and dabbed it off with paper towel. I then colored the daffodil using Copic markers and stamped the sentiment from Tulip Bouquet in Noir. To finish off I added some sequins from Flamenco Sunset, Belle's Dress and Glass Slippers from The Ton.

That's it from my side. I enjoyed creating this CAS one layer card! Hope you'll join us at The Flower Challenge!!! Please don't forget to visit The Flower Challenge blog for more inspirations!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Guest Designing at CAS(E) this Sketch #246

Hello everyone!!! Hope your November is starting off well!

Today I have a special card to share with you!!! I had the honor of being a winner at CAS(E) this Sketch in last Summer even twice !!! with this and this card! And today I have a GD spot at CTS 246! :)

This is the artistic sketch which Leigh Penner created! Isn't it awesome ?!!!

The splotchy background is just screaming for alcohol inks :)!

I created the background on Yupo paper using Sunshine Yellow, Mountain Rose, Hazelnut and Gold mixative. The leaves were cut with Sizzix Thinlits Garden Greens dies from some white cardstock and glued flat on the Yupo panel.

The sentiment was cut with hello word die from The Ton from black cardstock and was heat embossed in Extreme Peacock EP. To place my sentiment I cut a small rectangular frame from the same light gray cardstock I used as my cardbase. I foam mounted it onto the card and added the sentiment. Some sequins from Cinderella's RideFlamenco Sunset Couture Mix and Medallion Gold sequins were my finishing touch.

Huge thanks to CAS(E) this Sketch for having me! It was fun to play with the sketch again!

Hope you like my card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a crafty day!

The Ton November Challenge - Holiday

Hello everyone!!!

It's November 1st and it's time for a new challenge at The Ton Challenge blog!!!
For this month we are having a cue word challenge and the cue word is

HOLIDAY

The Ton's Fall 2017 Release includes lots of beautiful and unique holiday stamp sets. For this challenge I chose Holiday Love Poinsettia from the Fall Release. And I challenged myself to use untraditional color combination: aqua, magenta, brown and gold.

I started by heat embossing the Holiday Love Poinsettia image on some Bristol smooth paper in gold pearl EP. I watercolored the image mainly in aqua and cut it with the coordinating die. The stripes was stamped using Haute Stripes cling stamp in Pink Derby on a white cardstock. I heat embossed the stripes in Iridescent EP for some sparkle. The sentiment is from City Girls: Winter Edition. I stamped it repeatedly on a strip of white cardstock in Pink Derby as well and glued it on the striped panel. For the background I splattered clear water on the dark brown shimmer panel and heat embossed it in gold. I foam mounted the striped panel on the brown panel and added Holiday Love Poinsettia on it. I embellished the card with some sequins from Medallion Gold and Glass Slippers and added tiny dots on the center of poinsettias using gold Pico Embellisher.

I can't say I'm happy with the result but the color combination is quite interesting though :)... will try that again someday.

Please stop by The Ton Challenge blog for more inspirations from my team mates and the guest designer for this month. And play along! As always one winner will get a $50 gift certificate to The Ton Shop!

Thank you so much for looking!
Have a wonderful day!
