Wild Hibiscus - Colored Pencil coloring Video

Hello everyone!

It's been so long since I participated in a challenge just for fun! February was a busy month and there was little time for me to craft and when I had some, I couldn't focus on what I was doing.... Hope March looks better for me :).

Today I've made this card for Altenew February Inspiration Challenge. The stamped panel has been sitting on my desk since weeks, actually since I saw the beautiful inspiration card by Debby Hughes :). Finally I've finished coloring the panel and even managed to make a coloring process video !!!

I CASEd Debby's gorgeous card.

I stamped flowers and a butterfly from Wild Hibiscus in an embossing ink on Strathmore Toned Gray paper and colored them using Prismacolor colored pencils. As the Toned Gray paper is thin, I matted it with a 80lb white cardstock, trimmed it down a little bit and foam mounted it on a white cardbase.

The die cut hello is from Blooming Bouquet die. I cut it three times from white cardstock to stack them together. To finish off I added stamen using yellow Pico embellisher and a few sequins.

Here is the coloring process video. You can watch it here or on YouTube.
On the video you can see which color I'm using while coloring. Hope you like this :)!

One Stamp, Two Cards - The Ton

Hello everyone!

Today I'm on The Ton's blog sharing two cards. I've made them using one panel on which I stamped and heat embossed Riotous Wildflowers set which is 6x6 inches. For the camouflaging sentiments I used Bold Amazing Greeting Word plate dies from The Ton's 3rd Anniversary Release.

I hope you could stop by  The Ton's blog for more details!

Have a great day!

Seize the Birthday - Coffee or Tea

Hello again everyone!

I'm popping in to share a birthday card with you!
It's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday. The Toppings option this time around is

COFFEE or TEA

I've made a birthday card with the topping's option but you may enter any newly created birthday card if you want to.

To start off I stamped the Riotous Wildflowers (The Ton) on Canson mixed media paper in Versafine black ink and colored the cluster using Color Burst. I cut out the shape of the cluster from an A2 sized white cardstock using coordinating die, stamped the Occasion Confetti in Lemon drop on the left bottom corner and foam mounted it onto the cardbase on which I glued the colored panel.
The coffee is from Hug in a Mug set from The Ton. I heat embossed the cup in yellow EP, stamped the coffee in Warm Hazelnut and white heat embossed the cream. I cut it with the coordinating die. I cut a circle from a yellow cardstock as the saucer. The sentiment is from Scripty Greetings set (The Ton). I heat embossed it in copper on a strip of vellum, taped it on the back of the panel and added the coffee cup onto the vellum. Some sequins from Lemon Chiffon and Glass Slippers sequins mix were my finishing touch.

Now it's your turn:)! Hope you'll play along with us!

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our surprise party guest Kristie Goulet

The Flower Challenge #17 - Paper Piecing Reminder

Hello everyone!

It's time for a reminder post for The Flower Challenge #17 - Paper Piecing!

For my reminder post I've paper pieced the dress of the lady from Haute Gala Dress set by The Ton.
I drew a poppy field recently to use for this card and posted it on Instagram. Unfortunately I ruined that piece by stamping the dress image in black, as I forgot to mask the fold parts of the dress!!!!!! I tried to save my drawing without any success....
So I drew a new poppy field. I had this card design in my mind and wanted to make one :)!

I sketched the flowers and colored them using Prismacolor pencils. I then sprayed alcohol markers using Distress marker spritzer tool. I sprayed green and gray markers on the bottom part and blue on upper part of the drawing. I  stamped the Haute Gala Dress image on it in Caviar hybrid ink and added folds of the dress and shades using Prismacolor pencils. After done with coloring I fussy cut the dress out.

I  stamped the Haute Gala Dress image on another white cardstock in Caviar hybrid ink and colored the head and body with Copic markers.  After masking the colored image I blended Salty Ocean and Broken China DOX on the upper border of the panel and sprayed pearlized water on it. The white heat embossed sentiment is also from Haute Gala Dress set. I mounted the panel on a cardbase, adhered the fussy cut dress on it. I added white dots on the dress using white gel pen and covered the flowers and leaves with clear glitter.

It was a long way but the result made me forget all the frustration :)!
Hope you like my card too :)!

Our talented teammate Vivien Hodge made for us a collage of our cards from last year.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom Release + Giveaway

Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start!

I had the pleasure to play with this pretty peonies from Altenew's newest Build-A-Flower set: Peony Blossom! This set includes three step layering peonies and leaves along with coordinating dies. There is a bundled set with Altenew's new inks available also.
Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom set includes 1 stamp set (15 images) and 1 coordinating die set (8 dies).

The Peony Blossom Build-A-Flower has a slightly different approach than our conventional Build-A-Flower sets. The stamp set has three five-petal flowers accompanied by a shading layer and a center layer. You may use these flowers as is, or layer them to create dimension. The matching dies will cut the flowers all the way to the edge without leaving a border. This will help in shaping the petals to the desired dimension when using a shaping tool (don't have a shaping tool? You can use the domed end of a pen or pencil!). We included an additional flower die and stamen dies to help you create realistic blooms! Even though we named the set 'Peony Blossom' since the petals were loosely based on Peony petals, you can let your imagination run wild and create different types of flowers! We can't wait to see what you come up with!
This special product is only sold as a set, not individually.

I've created two cards with this gorgeous BAF: Peony Blossom set !

On the first card I used mainly the dies from BAF: Peony Blossom combined with Leafy Wreath die and Watercolor Stripes stencil

I started off by creating the colored vellum for the flowers. I applied rubbing alcohol first on a vellum and dropped Raspberry, Flamingo, Shell Pink and Salmon alcohol inks on it before the alcohol was dry. I did it so that I have some areas brighter than others. After the vellum was dry I die cut the peonies using the dies from  Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom set. I cut the biggest flower from brighter area and the small ones from darker pink area of the vellum. I then stamped the layering stamp which shows the folds of the petals in Worn Lipstick DOX on the peonies. I cut the Leafy Wreath and some leaves from Peony Blossom set from a silver cardstock. I stamped the layer of the leaves in a silver ink. I cut the stamen also from the same silver cardstock.

To create the striped background I blended Pink Diamond and Pinkalicious over Watercolor Stripes stencil making it in ombre, softening towards the center of the panel. I then started assembling my card. I foam mounted the Leafy Wreath on the pink striped background and arranged the flower petals and leaves as shown in the picture. I formed the flower petals to give them more natural look and added a iridescent rhinestone on each flower center. The sentiment is from Painted Greetings. I stamped it on the same silver cardstock in StazOn black ink and added it onto the card.

My second card is a one layer card.

I created a peony in multiple layers by masking and stamping the second layer stamp of the flowers on a watercolor paper. I stamped the smallest one in Rubellite, the next bigger one in Pinkalicious and the largest flower in Pink Diamond from Cherry Blossom Mini Cube set after masking the previous stamped flower. I then stamped the leaves in Mountain Mist (solid stamp) and Volcano Lake (second layer) from Sea Shore Mini Cube set.

I then watercolored the image. I added light watercolor wash in the background in pink and teal. I then added details to the image using Prismacolor colored pencils. I splattered pink watercolor and white opaque ink on the panel and added white stamen on the flower using white Pico Embellisher. The sentiment is from Painted Greetings. I stamped it in Jet Black ink and clear heat embossed it.  To finish off I added some iridescent sequins.

Simple Valentine's Day Cards

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!!

I needed Valentine's day cards for my kid's school. So I decided to go with a CAS design for a mass production.

I made 4 inch square cards and matching envelopes. My Cricut was a great help!

I stamped the peony cluster from Timeless Peonies Print by The Ton on the right bottom corner of the cardbase in Rose Quartz, Soft Garnet and Red Sangria hybrid ink. I stamped the leaves in gray using Crystal Pewter and Smoky Quartz.

I then cut the heart from a soft pink cardstock with Cricut and cut out the part of the heart where the heart overlap the peony cluster using coordinating die for Timeless Peonies Print. XOXO was silver heat embossed on the heart. The heart was foam mounted and the card was done!!!

I want to enter this card into two challenges!
