The Ton Fall 2018 Release

Hello and Welcome to The Ton's Fall 2018 Release!

The Ton has released 11 new stamps and a new pop up floral die. There are free gifts with purchase promotions also! Head over to The Ton’s blog for more details.

All new release orders will begin to ship on October 3.

I have three projects to share with you today. As the stamp delivery was delayed, I used Effie's digital designs to create my projects this time.

My first card is featuring Gardenia Border Cling stamp

I printed the image on a Canson Mixed Media Paper, watercolored the image and cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the colored panel flat on a white cardbase.

The die cut sentiment was cut from Adhesive Glitter Paper Glossy Fine Black using Fabulous word die. I cut it from thick white cardstock three more times to stack them all together for some dimension.

I cut a vellum using one of the Modern Labels dies as a mat for the die cut sentiment. The gold heat embossed small sentiment "you are" is from Brushed Love stamp set. I glued the die cut "fabulous" on the vellum label and then glued it onto the card.

I finished off the card by adding some clear Dew Drops.

My second card is showcasing the Coming Up Poinsettias stamp set. This has a beautiful poinsettia cluster image with some seasonal sentiments.

I printed the image on a Canson Mixed Media Paper and colored them using Color Burst Powders. I used Orchid and Cerulean blue for the blue-purple mix of the poinsettia leaves. After done with coloring I traced the outline with a black pen to make the image pop.

I then cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die and then embossed the panel using two Double Stitched Rectangle dies to add some texture to the card. To place the sentiment from the same stamp set I cut a leaf outline. The sentiment strip was foam mounted. The card front was adhered flat on a navy cardbase. To finish off I scattered some sequins from Lilac Blossoms and Blue Ice Couture Mix.

The last project is not a card. I colored the whole panel of the Gardenia Garden cling stamp image (6x6). After the coloring was done I didn't want to cut the panel into a A2 size. I don't know yet what I'll do with this :).

I printed this image on a Neenah solar white cardstock and colored the gardenia flowers using Copic Markers. I used R32, 35, 46, 39 and 89. The leaves were colored only subtle using C1 and C3.

Altenew Refresh Your Alcohol Markers Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and Welcome to Refresh Your Alcohol Markers Blog Hop!

Today I'm celebrating with Altenew the release of new Artist Marker Refills. It's an honor to be a part of this blog hop and I can say, I had fun playing with the Artist Marker Refills :)!

If you're coming from lovely Rubeena Ianigro's blog you are right on track. If you want to start from the beginning of the hop, please hop over to Altenew Card Blog

Altenew released Artist Marker Refills for Artist Marker set A, set B and set C. I wanted to apply alcohol ink coloring technique on my image using Artist Marker Refills as alcohol ink. So I chose the big flower from Crown Bloom stamp set to color and Artist Marker Refill set B for a color scheme of purple, yellow and gold.

I started by gold heat embossing the big flower, small blooms and leaves from  Crown Bloom stamp set on some alcohol ink cardstock. I colored the big flower by dripping R705 and R702 Refills on the petals and tilting the paper to spread the color. the flower center was colored using WG07 and micro applicator. For the small flowers I used Y205 refill and green Artist Markers from set A. To color the leaves I scribbled first the inner part using G554 Artist Marker and then dripped WG03 Refill on it to blend the green color with warm gray.

I die cut all images using coordinating dies and set them aside.
The background was made on a Yupo panel. I first sprayed plenty of rubbing alcohol on the panel, applied some drops of R702, WG01 and WG03 Refill on it and blew the colors and alcohol to blend them. I then added Gold Mixative for some golden accents and splatters of R705, WG07 refill.

After the background panel was dry, I cut it slightly smaller than A2 size and gold heat embossed the four sides. I then assembled the card together. The background panel was adhered flat on a white top fold cardbase and the flowers and leaves are arranged as shown in the picture along with the gold heat embossed sentiment from BAF: Cattleya stamp set. To finish off the card I scattered some golden sequins.

I've made watercolor swatch and played with the colors before I started making my cards. I'm not an watercolor expert. But I can say that the colors are so vibrant and pretty!

I've created 6 cards for this hop so it will be a long and photo-heavy post!!! Hope you don't mind...

Let's get started!
My first card is a clean and simple one showcasing watercolored Peony Spray.

I gold heat embossed Peony Spray image on a piece of mixed media paper and colored it with Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set. I used Grapewine, Rubellite, Crimson and Autumn Blaze for the flower and Lagoon, Emerald, Forest Glades and Bamboo for the leaves and stem. I adhered the colored panel flat on a white cardbase. I then die cut a white woodgrain cardstock panel using Peony Spray coordinating die and foam mounted it onto the card. The sentiment is from Circled Sentiments set. I gold heat embossed it on circle white cardstock and added it on the card using foam addhesive after I tied a bow with a golden string.

For my second card I created watercolored background and front die cut panel using Doodled Lace cover die.

I started off by die cutting a watercolor paper with Doodled Lace cover die. I cut it two more times from some pink cardstock to stack them together. I watercolored the panel using Coral Berry, Citrus Burst, Warm Sunshine (flowers) and Forest Glades and Bamboo (leaves) from Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set. I then colored an A2 sized watercolor paper in Coral Berry, Cotton Candy, Citrus Burst, Ocean Waves and Mountain Mist. I splattered clear water on it and gold heat embossed the splatters.
The background panel was mounted flat on a pink cardbase, then the die cut panel was added. The die cut sentiment is from Blooming Bouquet set. I cut it three times, stack them together and gold heat embossed them two times to get more dimension. I added the hello on a nest of some golden thread.
To finish off the card I added two yellow enamel dots from New Day Card Kit on the flower centers.

On my next card I stamped the floral images from Frosted Garden using Watercolor 36 Pan Set.

I stamped the floral images of Frosted Garden on a watercolor paper after I applied the watercolor on the stamp with a paintbrush. I used three red shades (Rubellite, Grapewine and Crimson) for the flowers and gray colors (Industrial Diamond and Moon Rock) for the leaves. MISTI was a great help! After stamping was done I clear heat embossed the image and colored the background in light brown (mixed). The sentiment from Arabesque Medallion set was gold heat embossed on a torn strip of vellum. I mounted it on a narrow strip of white cardstock. To finish off I added gold stamen using gold Pico Embellisher.

Next card is showcasing a watercolored pink rose.

I stamped the rose image from Penned Rose set on a Bristol Smooth paper in Antique Linen DI. The pink rose was colored in Pink Diamond, Puffy Heart, Midnight Violet and Citrus Burst. For the leaves I used three green shades and added brown colors to the stem. I also colored the background in Desert Night and Pink Diamond from Watercolor 36 Pan Set. I then blended Chipped Sapphire DI on the corners. The sentiment is from Just Because. I stamped the quote in Jet Black and gold heat embossed "keep going". I finished off the card by adding some iridescent sequins and clear rhinestones.

For the fifth card I used primary and secondary colors to add pop of color on Arabesque Medallion.

I white heat embossed Arabesque Medallion on some Bristol vellum paper panel as shown in the picture and colored it using Persian Blue, Mountain Mist, Midnight Violet, Bamboo and Citrus Burst. I added some golden accent with gold Pico Embellisher. After the panel was dry I cut "happy" out from the panel using Inline Alpha die set. I mounted the front panel flat on a navy cardbase and foam mounted the sentiment on it.

My last card for today is featuring the gorgeous Fantasy Floral 3D die set.

I created several watercolored panel using various pink, purple and blue colors with golden splatter for the flower layers. I added some gold watercolor to the greens when I made the watercolored panel for the leaves. After the watercolored panel was dry I cut the flower layers and the foliage using Fantasy Floral 3D die set.

The background was created using smooshing technique. I scribbled Mountain Mist, Ocean Waves and Bamboo on a piece of acetate , sprayed pearlized water and applied the colors on a watercolor panel. I added some blue and gold splatters after the panel was dry. I foam mounted the background panel on a white cardbase and added the golden frame, cut with the gold foil paper and frame die from New Day Card Kit. I then arranged the flower and the leaves as I wanted and mounted them onto the card. To finish off the card I added some pretty iridescent sequins.
