Seize the Birthday - CAS

Hello everyone!

How fast time flies by! It's already time for the first challenge of November at Seize the Birthday! The Toppings option for the next fortnight is CAS (Clean and Simple).

As always you may enter any birthday card, if you want to!

I've made a one layer birthday card keeping a large area white.

I started by stamping the poppy from Fresh Cut Poppies coordinating Outlines set by The Ton in Caviar Hybrid ink. I then masked the poppy image and the border of the panel to make a small rectangle background. I then blended Peacock Feather, Broken China and Vintage Photo DOX on the background and splattered pearlized water on it.

I colored the poppy using Copic markers. The sentiment is from Penned Sentiments set by The Ton. It was stamped in Aspen Cocoa ink. To keep the card simple I didn't add any embellishment.

I was quite happy with the result, because the card turned out as I thought :).

Please don't forget to stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my lovely team mates and our surprise party guest Marianne!
I'd love to see your CAS creations in our gallery!

Have a wonderful day!

The Flower Challenge #26 - A Special Occasion

Hello everyone!!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Today I have a holiday card to share with you! The theme of The Flower Challenge #26 is A Special Occasion and I chose a Holiday card.

I used Coming Up Poinsettias stamp set from The Ton. It is a beautiful cluster image of three poinsettias. I hope the red poinsettia leaves can be counted as flowers :) !

I gold heat embossed the Coming Up Poinsettias on Canson watercolor paper and colored it using Color Burst powders. After it was dry I cut the image using the coordinating die.

To make the front panel I stamped Haute Stripes cling background stamp (The Ton) on a white panel in Valentine Red dye ink. I then cut the circle using a Double Stitched Circle die. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Coming Up Poinsettias on the bottom part of the panel. The edge of the circle was gold heat embossed as well with the help of a embossing pen.

The inked background was created directly on the white cardbase. I masked the border to keep the area white and blended Valentine Red using Clarity Stencil Brush. I splattered gold and opaque white watercolor on it and let it dry.

I cut the front panel smaller than the cardbase. I then foam mounted it and the poinsettia image on the cardbase. I finished off the card by adding some Medallion Gold sequins by The Ton.

Hope you liked my DT card for our new challenge! I'd love to see your projects in the gallery at The Flower Challenge!

Seize the Birthday - Foliage

Hello, crafty friends!

It's Seize the Birthday Thursday again! The toppings option we chose for you is
FOLIAGE

As always you may enter any Birthday card in the gallery, if you want to!

I have made a card using Harvest Berries set by PTI. I love ginkgo leaves and in gold they look perfect!

I gold heat embossed the ginkgo branches on some watercolor paper and added Payne's gray and gold watercolor around the image. I splattered the same colors after the panel was dry. I cut the panel using two of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies by The Ton to make the frame.

I gold heat embossed diagonal stripes (SSS) on the frame and blended True Navy and Light Onyx dye ink (The Ton) on it darkening on two diagonal corners. The happy die cut is cut using Birthday word dies (The Ton) from golden glitter adhesive paper and white cardstock which were stacked together. The "Birthday" is from Motorcycle Boss set (The Ton). I stamped it in True Navy.

I then started assembling the card by adhering the center panel on a navy cardbase. The frame was foam mounted. Then I glued the happy die cut onto the card. Some Medallion Gold sequins were my finishing touch!

I love Peyne's gray! Such a gorgeous color and with gold it looks so elegant!

Hope you liked my card! Please hop over to Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my lovely teammates and our surprise party guest Marianne!

Happy crafting!

The Flower Challenge #25 - Add Sparkle - Reminder

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Today I have a sparkly card to share with you! It's already time for a reminder post for the latest Flower Challenge :)! It's a special one this time, as we turned two!

There are prizes to get! So please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more details and play along!

The stamp set I used is one of the new items by The Ton. It is called Certificate of Awesomeness, a beautiful, versatile and unique design! I used a border floral cluster from the set.

To make the sparkly effect more dramatic I used a black background. I gold heat embossed the cluster on a black cardstock and colored the image using Stardust gel pens.

The sentiment is from Thanks a Bunch set also by The Ton. I gold heat embossed it on the panel too.
To embellish my card I added some golden butterflies which I cut with Butterfly Swirl die from a Adhesive foil paper gold.

That's it! Hope you could see the sparkle on the image. It's so hard to catch the sparkle in a photo.

Please visit The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my lovely and talented teammates!
And don't forget to link up your card in the gallery :)!

Wishing you a great week!
