Altenew November 2018 Stencil/Ink Spray Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew November 2018 Stencil and Ink Spray Release Blog Hop!!!

If you're coming from Zsoka Marko' blog you are right on track. If you want to start from the beginning of the hop, please hop over to Altenew Card Blog.

Altenew November 2018 Stencil and Ink Spray Release includes 9 new unique stencil designs and 6 new metallic shimmer ink spray colors. I've had the pleasure to play with three new stencils and 2 gorgeous ink sprays and made three cards showcasing Sunburst, Flowing Butterfly and Feathered Leaves stencil.

Let's get started with this holiday card featuring Sunburst stencil and Holiday Bow stamp set.

I started off by making the background panel. I inked the Sunburst stencil using an embossing ink, put it on a soft teal cardstock from New Day Card Kit, sandwiched it on an embossing mat and ran it through my cutting machine. I then white heat embossed the dry embossed panel using Pure White Crisp EP. The smaller central panel was cut using Fine Frames Cover die and dry embossed with Sunburst stencil.

I then started coloring the poinsettia and the bow from Holiday Bow set. I stamped the bow in Lagoon, the poinsettia in Midnight Violet and the leaves in Frayed Leaf mini inks to do some no line coloring. I colored them with Altenew Artist Markers and fussy cut them all.

I cut the teal panel slightly smaller than A2 size and foam mounted it on a white cardbase. I stamped the sentiment from Season's Greetings set in Jet Black on the small white panel and foam mounted it onto the card.  I adhered a thin white frame on the front panel to add more interest. I then arranged the poinsettia and the bow as shown in the picture.
To finish off I colored the poinsettia with a clear glitter pen.

On my second card I embellished an watercolored panel using Flowing Butterfly stencil and a clear glitter embossing paste.

I started by stamping the gorgeous floral images from Floral Art stamp set on Canson watercolor paper. I stamped the flowers in Sand Dunes and the leaves in Bamboo and colored them using Altenew Watercolor Pan set.

After the colored panel was dry I applied clear glitter embossing paste on the panel over the Flowing Butterfly stencil and let it dry. The sentiment is from Leaf Canopy set. I gold heat embossed it on some vellum and cut it in a circle. I glued it on a small yellow circle and foam mounted it onto the card on a nest of some silver thread.

My last card for today is showing the colors of Lagoon and Sunkissed metallic shimmer spray.

To create the two toned background I masked the borders of an A2 panel, placed the Feathered Leaves stencil on it and applied my embossing paste mixed with Lagoon and Sunkissed metallic shimmer spray. I sprinkled some gold and green fine glitter on it before the paste was dry.

I gold heat embossed the branches from Leaf Canopy on some watercolor paper and colored them using Lagoon and Sunkissed metallic shimmer spray. I then cut them using the coordinating die and set them aside. The shimmer of these sprays is just gorgeous! The photos don't do justice to these beautiful colors and shimmer!

After the background panel was completely dry I adhered it on a white cardbase. I cut the Leaf Canopy branches from some yellow fun foam using coordinating die to raise my colored branches.

The sentiment was then gold heat embossed on a strip of dark teal cardstock from New Day Card Kit, embellished with a thin strip of golden cardstock and added onto the card.

That's it from me for today! I hope I was able to inspire you with my cards!

Seize the Birthday - Tags

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today is the last Seize the Birthday Thursday of the year 2018!!! And the last Toppings option for this year is TAGS !  As always you may enter any birthday card into our challenge!

I've made a gift tag for a newborn baby. So it is for 0th birthday :)!

I stamped the giraffe from Petite Plushies stamp set by Clearly Besotted in black and colored it using Copic markers. I fussy cut it and set it aside.
The sentiment was cut using Handlettered Greetings die by SimonSaysStamp. I stacked some white die cuts and topped it with a die cut from white glitter paper.

The background is from a patterned paper which I used to make the paper bag as well. The tag shape was cut using A2 Distressed Edges die set by Spellbinders. I glued the giraffe and the sentiment on it and added some white dots using white gel pen. I punched a hole and tied some twine.

This is how the tag looks like on the gift bag :)!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!!
I hope you play along with us before our short break starts in December!

The Flower Challenge #26 - A Special Occasion Reminder

Hello everyone!!! Hope you're having a great week so far!

Today I have a get well card to share with you. The theme for November at The Flower Challenge is A SPECIAL OCCASION. We arrived already the half way and it's time for a reminder card.

I did some no line coloring on the beautiful gardenia cluster from Gardenia Wishes stamp set by The Ton. The cluster of Gardenia Wishes is out of three flowers but I cut one out to make it smaller.

I started by stamping the image on Canson watercolor paper in Antique Linen DI and watercolored it. I cut it using the coordinating die and cut off one small flower from it.

I clear heat embossed Minor Stripes cling stamp (The Ton) on a soft pink cardbase and blended Soft Garnet ink on the area which is picking out under the white panel.

The sentiment is from Sending Peonies set (The Ton). I stamped "Sending" in black pigment ink and heat embossed only the upper part in gold. The small sentiment was then gold heat embossed. The white panel with the sentiment was cut using a Double Stitched Rectangle die (The Ton). I cut it narrower than A2 panel and foam mounted it on the cardbase.

I adhered the gardenia cluster on the white panel and added some clear dew drops. And the card was done!

Seize the Birthday - CAS

Hello everyone!

How fast time flies by! It's already time for the first challenge of November at Seize the Birthday! The Toppings option for the next fortnight is CAS (Clean and Simple).

As always you may enter any birthday card, if you want to!

I've made a one layer birthday card keeping a large area white.

I started by stamping the poppy from Fresh Cut Poppies coordinating Outlines set by The Ton in Caviar Hybrid ink. I then masked the poppy image and the border of the panel to make a small rectangle background. I then blended Peacock Feather, Broken China and Vintage Photo DOX on the background and splattered pearlized water on it.

I colored the poppy using Copic markers. The sentiment is from Penned Sentiments set by The Ton. It was stamped in Aspen Cocoa ink. To keep the card simple I didn't add any embellishment.

I was quite happy with the result, because the card turned out as I thought :).

Please don't forget to stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my lovely team mates and our surprise party guest Marianne!
I'd love to see your CAS creations in our gallery!

Have a wonderful day!

The Flower Challenge #26 - A Special Occasion

Hello everyone!!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Today I have a holiday card to share with you! The theme of The Flower Challenge #26 is A Special Occasion and I chose a Holiday card.

I used Coming Up Poinsettias stamp set from The Ton. It is a beautiful cluster image of three poinsettias. I hope the red poinsettia leaves can be counted as flowers :) !

I gold heat embossed the Coming Up Poinsettias on Canson watercolor paper and colored it using Color Burst powders. After it was dry I cut the image using the coordinating die.

To make the front panel I stamped Haute Stripes cling background stamp (The Ton) on a white panel in Valentine Red dye ink. I then cut the circle using a Double Stitched Circle die. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Coming Up Poinsettias on the bottom part of the panel. The edge of the circle was gold heat embossed as well with the help of a embossing pen.

The inked background was created directly on the white cardbase. I masked the border to keep the area white and blended Valentine Red using Clarity Stencil Brush. I splattered gold and opaque white watercolor on it and let it dry.

I cut the front panel smaller than the cardbase. I then foam mounted it and the poinsettia image on the cardbase. I finished off the card by adding some Medallion Gold sequins by The Ton.

Hope you liked my DT card for our new challenge! I'd love to see your projects in the gallery at The Flower Challenge!
