Spellbinders - Card Kit of the Month January 2019

Hello folks!!! Happy New Year!!!

Hope your 2019 is off to a great start! Today I have a special post to show you the new Monthly Card Kit by Spellbinders. The January Card Kit is here!
This month's You're My Type Card Kit includes a 6x6 paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, tons of embellishments, and more!

I have the pleasure to play with the kit! And I can say, it is perfect to send some love to your family and friends! There are even 3D foam tapes and a double sided tape so you can start making cards right away!

I have 4 cards to share with you, which I made using the kit only! Let's take a look!

For this card I used the white cardbase, 6x6 patterned papers and some of the die-cut shapes.

I cut the floral patterned paper slightly smaller than A2 size and adhered it flat on the cardbase.
The pink chevron paper was cut in a circle, matted with a larger white circle and foam mounted on the card. The sentiment die cut was then foam mounted on the circle with the little glittery heart!

To finish off I added three enamel dots, also included in the kit!

For the second card I used the 3-D stickers along with the pink diagonal striped patterned paper.

It was a super quick and easy card again. I cut the striped patterned paper, backed it with some white cardstock and foam mounted it on the pink cardbase from the kit. I added two strips of pink cardstock along with the sentiment strip. The sentiment is from You're My Type clear stamp set of the kit. I stamped it in a black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. I then foam mounted the typewriter and three 3D hearts. For more shine I covered the hearts with glittery Stickles.

Next card is showcasing the cute die set of the Kit. In the die set are included a typewriter, small flowers, branches, hearts and adorable sentiments.

For the background I chose a overall printed dark pink paper. I adhered it on the red cardbase from the kit along with a thin strip of blue-gray patterned paper. To add more interest and movement I've created a bokeh background using a white pigment ink and diy-circle stencil.

The typewriter was cut from a yellow cardstock also from the kit, stacked on two more die cuts and adhered on the card. the sentiment is from You're My Type clear stamp set of the kit. I stamped it in black ink on a printer paper and cut it using a rectangle die from the kit which perfectly fit in the slit of the typewriter.
The small flowers, branches and hearts were cut from some white cardstock and colored using Copic markers. To finish off the card I covered the hearts with Glossy Accents and added some enamel dots from the kit on the center of the flowers.

My last card is my favorite from today's cards.

To make this card I used mainly the die cut shapes. First I made the sky background by blending Tumbled Glass DI on the white cardstock from the kit. I cut the clouds from some printer paper to make cloudy sky.  I then stamped the sentiment from  You're My Type clear stamp in black pigment ink on the background panel and clear heat embossed it. I added a silver heat embossed sentiment saying"with loads of love" on the hot air balloon as well. I adhered the heart string underneath the hot air balloon after cutting out a bird holding the end of the string and foam mounted it on the background.
To finish off the card I scattered some of the sequins from the kit.

That's it from me today :)! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards :)!

I had a blast to play with the Monthly Card Kit by Spellbinders!!! It was so easy to make cards as there are so many options in the kit! Hope I was able to inspire you with my cards!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Wishing you all a wonderful year filled with health, joy and  happiness!

TaeEun

Altenew A Year in Review Blog Hop + Giveaway

HELLO and welcome to A Year In Review Blog Hop hosted by Altenew !!! I'm feeling so honored to be invited to this special event once again for this year. It's hard to believe that it's already time for a review and we have only a few days left from the year of 2018.

If you've arrived here from Lisa Fonseca's blog, you are right on track. If you're lost on the way and want to start over, please visit Altenew blog.

The lovely friends at Altenew have created this collage for me with 4 best cards I've picked :). Thank you so much!!!

Along with those four projects I chose some more of my cards which I love and/or were loved by many crafty friends.
If you want to see the original post, please click the picture.

Let's get started!

This card was one of the winners at Altenew 2018 February Inspiration Challenge. I colored the flowers and a butterfly from Wild Hibiscus on a gray paper using Prismacolor colored pencils. I've linked a coloring video as well in the original post.

Next up is a card I made for Altenew's 4th Anniversary using Happy Bloom stamp set. I colored the floral border using Altenew Artist Markers

This Sweetest Peas stamp set from June 2018 Release is one of my favorite stamp sets from Altenew. I've made a card in navy, gold and peach color combination.

Next card was one of my cards featuring Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan set. I watercolored the gold heat embossed Peony Spray and kept the card clean and simple.

As Altenew released Alcohol Marker Refills I had to use them like alcohol inks. To make this card I colored the gorgeous florals from Crown Bloom and the background using the Alcohol Marker Refills!

Im September I had the pleasure to play with the new Washi tapes by Altenew. This card was my favorite from the projects I made to showcase the new Washi tapes. I used Red Ombre washi tape to cut the roses using Rose Flurries 3D dies. They look gorgeous on the black!

I made next card for Altenew November 2018 Stencil and Ink Spray Release Blog Hop. This card was chosen from many crafty friends who commented on the post as their favorite. I watercolored the floral background created using Floral Art set with Altenew Watercolor Pan set and then covered it with a large glitter butterfly using Flowing Butterfly stencil.

Finally I want to show you this card. The Build-A-Flower Camellia on this were colored using the new Artist Markers set E.  Actually I wanted to place the orange flower over the left bottom corner and make the card up side down with the sentiment on the white clean area. But I didn't like the layout and ended up with this design :).

The Flower Challenge #27 - Use an Older Stamp or Die - Reminder

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a restful weekend!

Today I have a floral card to share with you. It's time for a reminder post for The Flower Challenge. Our theme for December is Use an Older Stamp or Die

I used an old rubber stamp from Hero Arts, called Daisies.

I stamped the Daisies three times in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed the images. I watercolored them in a loose way and splattered opaque white ink over the whole panel.

I foam mounted the panel after I cut it using a Double Stitched Rectangle die on a gray cardbase. The sentiment was cut from Silver Glitter Adhesive Paper from The Ton using hello word die. I raised the die cut sentiment with three more die cut hello's and adhered it onto the card.

It was a quick and easy card using an old but pretty floral rubber stamp.

Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my lovely team mates!
It would be great if you could find time to play with an older floral stamp or die to join in the fun!

Enjoy your weekend!
Hugs,
TaeEun

Altenew December 2018 Markers/Embellishments Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew December 2018 Markers/Embellishments Release Blog Hop!

If you are coming from Lilith Eeckels' blog you are right on track. If you want to start the hop from the beginning please hop over to the Altenew Card Blog!

Altenew has released two new Artist Markers sets and Colorless Blender along with gorgeous Embellishments for paper crafting! I had the pleasure to play with the Artist Markers Set E and the new Colorless Blender.

I chose a big floral stamp with many petals to showcase the new marker set :)!  Build-A-Flower: Camellia seemed to be perfect for this purpose.

To do no-line coloring I stamped the third layer of Camellia flower in Sunkissed and the leaves in Bamboo ink on Neenah solar white cardstock. I stamped two more flowers in Limestone on a A2 sized solar white panel to create the monochrome background.

I colored all the images using three color families from Artist Markers Set E. On the orange camellia I needed Y205, C001 from Artist Markers Set B and R335 from Set A too.

I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Build-A-Flower: Camellia on the background panel and adhered it on a white cardbase.

The orange camellia flower and the leaves were cut using coordinating dies and added onto the card. The flower was foam mounted and I glued the leaves flat on the card.

I used the Colorless Blender to blend or soften and brighten the colors and it worked fantastically!
