The Flower Challenge #29 - Use Your Latest Stamps or Dies

Hello, my crafty friends!

Hope you had a restful weekend and are having a wonderful start into the new week!
Today I have a floral card to share with you! A new challenge has started at The Flower Challenge. Our theme for February is Use Your Latest Stamps or Dies

I have used one of The Ton's Anniversary Release items, Happy Place. This stamp set is all about reading but has also beautiful peony flowers along with books!

I started off by stamping the big book decorated with peony flowers on Neenah solar white cardstock in copic friendly Caviar Hybrid Ink by The Ton. I left the stamp on the MISTI tool and stamped it again on a white panel to cut it out.

I colored the image using Copics. The big flower was colored in RV11, 13,14,17 and 19. For the small one I used RV52, 63, 66 and 69. I colored the leaves in YG colors and the book in some E and WG colors. I stamped the small book image on a separate white cardstock, colored it with Copics and fussy cut. I covered all the image with clear glitter and set them aside.

To make the front panel from which I cut out the stamped image, I white heat embossed Bare Tones background stamp on it. As you can see I was clumsy and moved the panel while pressing it on the stamp so that the dots are getting bigger towards the right bottom corner. So note to myself: Use the MISTI tool next time :) !

I inkblended Soft Garden and Cali Blue on the lower half of the panel. The panel with the colored image was mounted flat on a white cardbase and the front panel was foam mounted on it. I then added the sentiment, also from Happy Place set, which is white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock. I adhered the small book using foam adhesive and added three Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins to finish off the card.

Hope I could inspire you with my card to play along with us!

Seize the Birthday #158 - Black and White Only

Hello everyone!!!

I can't believe it's the last day of January! One month of this year has flown by... Hope you had a wonderful month :)!

Today is again the Seize the Birthday Thursday. The Toppings option for next fortnight is

Black and White Only
It's challenging to use only black and white for a birthday card. But worth to try!
I used a black cardbase and white floral die cuts to make my card.

I started off by applying Nuvo glimmer paste Black Diamond on a black panel through a DIY stencil I cut using Geo Mountain Coverplate die B by The Ton. I applied the paste partially on the panel and let it dry.
The white flowers and leaves are cut using Petal Cut Peonies dies also by The Ton.

I glued the black panel on a black cardbase, arranged the flowers and leaves as shown in the picture and added the sentiment from Penned Sentiments set. I simply stamped the sentiment in Noir on a strip of white cardstock and matted it with a black glitter paper.

I finished off the card by adding some Glass Slippers and Glossy Black sequins.

It was a quick card to make. Hope you come up with a black and white birthday card design idea and play along with us! But as always you may enter any birthday card in our gallery!!!

Seize the Birthday #157 - Stamping Only

Hello and happy Seize the Birthday Thursday :) !!!

New challenge has started at Seize the Birthday and our Toppings option for the next fortnight is

STAMPING ONLY

As always you may enter any Birthday card into our gallery, if you want to!

"Stamping only" was one of the hardest options for me, as I love to color and I'm not good at stamping :)...

I've chosen a layering floral stamp set by The Ton, Timeless Peonies Print set, and a color combination which I wanted to give a try for a while; orange, brown and gold!

The three layers of the flowers were stamped in Coralline Hybrid, Coral Cavern and Valentine Red. I stamped the leaves in Warm Hazelnut and Found Topaz. I used MISTI tool. So I could stamp the floral cluster two times on two diagonal corners easily.

I then cut the floral cluster shape from some printer paper using the coordinating die to mask them. The label and the sentiment  are from Modern Labels set. I gold heat embossed the label and "Wishing you" and stamped the long sentiment in Dark Roast.

I cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die (The Ton) and adhered it on creme cardbase.
My finishing touch was some Medallion Gold sequins!

I'm glad I could finish this hard homework :) !!! Hope you like my card!

Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our surprise party guest Julie Beech! I'd love to see your creations in our gallery!

The Flower Challenge #28 - Color Pink & Gray - Reminder

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

We've arrived the half way of the month and it's time for a reminder card for the current Flower Challenge #28. We have one of my favorite color combinations, Pink and Gray as our theme!

I colored the beautiful Coming Up Peonies by The Ton in pink and gray.

I stamped the peony cluster in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake dye ink (The Ton) to do some no line coloring on Bristol smooth paper. I used Zig brush markers to color the image. I love to use Bristol smooth paper when I color with Zig brush markers.

I then blended Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry DOX on all the corners of the panel. I splattered clear water and dabbed them off with dry paper towel. Additionally I splattered white opaque watercolor as well.

After the colored panel was dry I cut it using a Double Stitched Rectangle Die (The Ton) and adhered it on a white cardbase. The hugs word was die cut from silver glitter adhesive paper and from white cardstock, stacked together and adhered onto the card. I then finished off the card with some Glass Slippers round confetti sequins.

Hope I could inspire you to make some pink-gray beauty with my cards today :) !!!

The Ton's 4th Anniversary Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello and welcome to The Ton's 4th Anniversary Blog Hop Day2!

Did you enjoy the Blog Hop Day1 yesterday? Today we are hopping again with amazing guest designers to celebrate The Ton's 4th Anniversary!!!

Effie has introduced 9 new designs for The Ton's 4th Anniversary 2019 release. There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps' blog for more details.

If you are coming from The Ton's blog, you're right on track. You can find the complete list of today's blog hop at the end of this post.

I've created two cards for today. My first card is showcasing Smiling Cosmos set with a beautiful cosmos cluster image.

I gold heat embossed the Smiling Cosmos image on a watercolor paper panel and colored it with Color Burst. After the panel was dry I splattered some pink and opaque white watercolor on the panel.

The panel with the sentiment was cut using a coordinating die of Modern Labels from some magenta cardstock. I cut the panel only partially using the die and cut the upper part with a craft knife. I then gold heat embossed the sentiment from Today's Cosmos set on it and added the gold embossing on the edge.

The front panel and the sentiment panel were cut using Double Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the colored front panel flat on a white cardbase and foam mounted the sentiment panel on it.
I finished off the card by adding some Medallion Gold sequins.

My next card is featuring a very unique stamp set, called Gifted. The stamp set has along with solo gift boxes a stack of boxes in three layers.

I started off by stamping the stack of gift boxes in Soft Garnet, Bright Emerald and Soft Garden on a white cardstock. I gold heat embossed the ribbons and colored three boxes using yellow Copic markers which stay white after stamping all three layers.

To create the background I blended Soft Garden on two diagonal areas of a yellow cardbase. After the ink was dry I gold heat embossed Diagonal Stripes background stamp on it.

I then cut down the front panel with the gift boxes using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and foam mounted it on the cardbase. The sentiment was stamped in Noir and clear heat embossed on a strip of yellow cardstock, cut in a arrow shape and foam mounted on the card. I blended a little bit of Soft Garden on one end.

To finish off the card I colored some white part of the ribbons using glitter gel pens and added Glass Slippers and Lemon Chiffon sequins.

That's all from me! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards!
