Altenew May 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Ink/Enamel Pin Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew May 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Ink/Enamel Pin Release Blog Hop!!!
You've surely gotten lots of inspiration on Erum Tasneem's blog! Hope you would like my cards as well :)! If you want to start from the beginning of the blog hop, please head on over to Altenew Card Blog

Altenew has released unique stamp designs again along with some new ink pads and enamel pins! If you want to have a look at all the new items, please click here. It is always an amazing experience to play with Altenew's new designs! Huge thanks to Altenew for inviting me!

I've created three cards for today's blog hop.
The first card is featuring Basic Blooms set.

I stamped bunch of flowers from Basic Blooms set in Pocketful of Sunshine, Cherry Blossom and Rock Collection and the leaves in Tropical Forest. I die cut them all using coordinating dies and set them aside.

I adhered Dotted washi tape on a white cardstock panel and cut a side of it in a wavy line. The sentiment from Basic Blooms set was stamped in Jet Black on a white cardbase. I foam mounted the panel with Dotted washi tape on the cardbase and arranged the die cut flower images on the bottom edge of the front panel as shown in the picture. The yellow and pink flowers were adhered using some foam adhesives for more dimension.

To finish off I added black Enamel Accents on the center of the flowers and two black enamel dots from New Day card kit onto the card.

The second card is showcasing the beautiful and airy floral image from Everlasting Happiness set.

I gold heat embossed the big floral image from Everlasting Happiness set on a Ranger Alcohol ink cardstock. I then colored the image using Altenew Artist Marker refills.

I used for the flowers Cotton CandyCoral Berry, Soft Lilac and Midnight Violet. The little yellow flowers are colored using Warm Sunshine Artist Marker Refill and the leaves in Forest Glades. On large petals I dripped the refill ink directly and for the small areas I used Micro applicators.

The background was colored in Ocean Waves Artist Marker refill. I diluted it with rubbing alcohol to make the color brighter. The sentiment from Everlasting Happiness set was gold heat embossed. The stamp set has some gorgeous sentiments in mixed fonts and sizes. I love them!
The finished panel was adhered flat on a white cardbase and I added some iridescent sequins onto the card and yellow glitter Stickles on the flower centers to finish off this one layer card.

The last card for today was made using the elegant images from Ornate Foliage set.

I started off gold heat embossing the outline images of Ornate Foliage on a Canson watercolor paper panel. I then watercolored the petals/leaves. I used Desert Night, Midnight Violet, Lime and Limeade from Altenew Watercolor Brush Marker sets and Lagoon Metallic Shimmer Spray. I used also gold watercolor to add some golden shimmer to the image.

After the images dried I die cut them using the coordinating dies. For the background I used Peach Gold washi tape and Dotted Swirls Debossing cover die.  I adhered the Peach Gold washi tape on a white A2 sized panel and debossed it using Dotted Swirls Debossing cover die.

I mounted the background panel on a white cardbase, foam mounted the die cut images on it as shown in the picture and added the sentiment strip. The sentiment is from Ornate Foliage set as well. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and matted it with a piece of gold cardstock from New Day Card kit.

That was my three cards I made for today's blog hop! I hope I was able to inspire you with my cards!

Seize the Birthday #165 - Balloons

Hello everyone!

I'm popping in again to share a birthday card with you! It's Seize the Birthday Thursday and we have a new Toppings option for you, which my team mate Shirley chose.

Balloons

But as always you may enter any Birthday themed project into our gallery!

I've made a CAS card with a "huge" balloon :)!

I started off by making a cutting file for my Cricut. It was a easy one. I welded a large circle and a triangle to make the balloon. I measured the length of my sentiment and placed the balloon on the panel accordingly.

I cut a yellow patterned paper using the cut file. I then stamped the sentiment from Handwritten Borders set by SSS. I stamped some little flowers and dots from Handwritten Floral Greetings set (SSS) on the cardbase to embellish my balloon :)! I foam mounted the yellow panel on the cardbase and added three little rhinestones on the balloon to finish off the card.

Hope I was able to inspire you to join us !

Please hop over to Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our Surprise Party Guest for May and June, Linda from Lin's Craft Corner!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a great one!

Hello everyone!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Altenew is our generous sponsor this Month and they will give away  Cross Stitch Flower stamp set to one lucky winner of this challenge! Please visit The Flower Challenge blog for more details about the prize!

I heat embossed the gorgeous peony cut using Peony Dream 3D die by Altenew.

I cut the elements of the  Peony Dream 3D die from some white cardstock and heat embossed them in yellow, orange and shimmery green shades. The embossing powders are from Stampendous, which I bought when I started cardmaking in 2015. I heat embossed a detail layer and the flower center in gold. I assembled the peony as shown in the picture and set it aside.

To create the background panel I did some watercolor wash in yellow, orange and gold on a Canson Mixed media paper panel. I used Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers in Fresh Lemon and Citrus Burst. After the panel was dry I cut it using a Double Stitched Rectangle die (The Ton) and also dry embossed two leaves onto this panel to add some texture.

I foam mounted the background panel on a white cardbase and adhered the floral cluster on it. The sentiment from Frosted Garden set was white heat embossed on a strip of dark brown cardstock. I added a few tiny golden sequins on the center of the peony to finish off the card.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Release Blog Hop!

I'm so excited to be part of this blog hop introducing the new Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon as a guest! If you have arrived here from Vicki Finger's blog, you are right on track. If you are lost on the way or want to start from the beginning of the blog hop, please head on over to Altenew Card Blog.

The flower of May chosen by Altenew is snapdragon! As always the set includes the coordinating dies and can be purchased with ink sets as a bundle. As you may already know, there is a Build-A-Flower monthly subscription plan at a discounted price too!

Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon - Ink Bundle

The snapdragon flower comes in various colors and color combinations. I love to make cards with those kind of flowers, because I can color them as I want :)!

I've made two cards for today's blog hop. Let's take a look at them!

The first card is a CASE of my own card. I wanted to make one like the previous card, because I loved the effect on the teal background created using colored pencils.

I started off by stamping the first layer of the snapdragon flowers and stems in a white pigment ink on a teal cardstock panel from New Day card kit. I skipped the second layer and stamped the third layer in Pinkalicious to get the idea where the shades are. I stamped the second layer of the greenery in Bamboo.

I colored the image using Holbein colored pencils. The flowers were colored mainly in white with shades of pink and coral. I added pencil strokes in the background in dark teal, black, Indigo, blue and green colors.

After the coloring was done I heat embossed the sentiment in Pure White Crisp embossing powder directly on the colored panel. The longer sentiment was also white heat embossed on a strip of purple cardstock. I trimmed the colored panel and foam mounted it on a white cardbase and added the sentiment strip using some foam adhesives.

For the next card I stamped the snapdragon flowers in layers.

I first stamped the snapdragon using Warm and Cozy, Pocketful of Sunshine and Tropical Forest mini ink cube sets. I die cut them using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

To create an artsy background first I masked the right and bottom border of a cream cardbase.  I then stamped the splatter image from Watercolor Frames set in Citrus Burst, Sunkissed and Bamboo and ink blended the right bottom edge using the same colors.

I stamped the sentiment also from Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon set in Espresso on the cardbase. I then added the die cut snapdragon flowers onto the card using some foam adhesives. To finish off I scattered some clear and yellow sequins.

That's it from me! Hope I was able to show you how versatile the Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon set is.
I had tons of fun playing with this set!

Seize the Birthday #164 - Texture

Hello everyone!

Today a new challenge has started at Seize the Birthday! The Toppings option for next fortnight is

TEXTURE.

I added texture on my card with camouflaging die cut sentiments.

To start off I stamped an A2 sized white panel with Toned Hearts stamp set by The Ton. It is a three step background stamp. I chose Peach Blossom and Warm Hazelnut along with silver heat embossing as my color combination.

After the background panel was finished I adhered a large sheet of double sided tape on the back of the panel. I then cut "sending love & hugs" sentiment using Love and Hugs word plate die repeatedly from the panel and from some tan and coral colored fun foam.

I adhered the negative die cut panel on a kraft cardbase. The die cut sentiments were raised on the die cut fun foam and inlaid in their places. The sentiment strip was ink blended in  Peach BlossomWarm Hazelnut  and Dark Roast. I white heat embossed the sentiment from Motorcycle Boss set and foam mounted the strip on the card. To finish off I added clear glitter on the die cut sentiments and glossy accents on some of the little hearts 💕 .

That's it from my side. Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates and our surprise party guest Tenia Nelson
I'd love to see your creations in our gallery!

Thank you so much for looking!
Hugs,
