The Flower Challenge #34 - Pretty Pastels

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great week so far!
It's time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge! The theme for the month of July is PRETTY PASTELS.

We have another PRIZE to give away this month too. The lovely Bev from Uniko is sponsoring us this time and giving away one of her beautiful stamp sets (any in stock stamp set and any value) to our lucky winner.

I used Originally Organic stamp set by Uniko for my DT card.

I stamped the floral elements from the stamp set on tanned gray cardstock in white pigment ink. I then colored the image using Luminance colored pencils. After done with coloring I gold heat embossed the image with the help of MISTI tool.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was white heat embossed on the colored panel. I then cut the panel using Distressed Edges die by Spellbinders. I foam mounted the colored panel on a gray cardbase and the card was finished!

Hope you will play along with us! I'd love to see your pretty pastel creations in the gallery!
Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspirations from my team mates and our guest designer Michelle Lupton!

Thank you so much for looking!
Happy crafting!

Pinkfresh Studio June Washi Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio June Washi Release Blog Hop!!! You've arrived here from my lovely crafty friend Yoonsun's blog, if you're following the blog hop order. In case you're lost on the way or want to start over, please hop over to Pinkfresh Studio blog!

I'm so excited to be a stop on this special blog hop celebrating new Washi tape release by Pinkfresh Studio! Four 5.5 inch wide washi tapes and two thin washi tapes are debuting today. But it's not all!!! There are coordinating stamp sets and die sets included in this release! How awesome!!! You can cut the pretty images on the washi tapes using the coordinating dies and add your own color on the same image using the stamp sets! This is genius!

I've made five cards to share with you for today, but first I want to show you the wide washi tapes. Each washi tape includes three different designs in A2 size, along with floral border designs in case of Eucalyptus Fantasy and Painted Florals washi tape. After I received the washi tapes I adhered the tape on white cardstock to see the whole design and I used the panels for my cards as the background panel or as main elements after die cutting.

Eucalyptus Fantasy

Painted Florals

Rainbow with Splatters

Adorable Frames
Now to my cards!

For my first card I used a panel from Eucalyptus Fantasy as the background and added small floral clusters from Floral Elements stamp set.

The background is a A2 sized frame design from Eucalyptus Fantasy Washi tape. I adhered it on a white cardstock, narrowed down the panel a little bit and adhered it on a black cardbase. The small floral clusters from Floral Elements stamp set were gold heat embossed on some black sketch paper and colored using Luminance colored pencils. I then die cut the images using Floral Elements die.

The sentiment is from Floral Cluster stamp set. I heat embossed "inspire" in white and the small sentiments in gold on some black cardstock. I adhered Matte Gold washi on four sides of a separate piece of black cardstock. I cut them using two frame dies from Fancy Label Frames die set and stacked them together showing the gold edge under the sentiment panel. I foam mounted the floral cluster and the sentiment panel as shown in the picture and the card was finished!

For this card I used a A2 panel from Rainbow with Splatters Washi as the background. The leafy wreath is from Eucalyptus Fantasy stamp set.

First I added four circle elements in the background panel using Braided Circles die set. It adds more interest and continues the circle of the wreath into the background.

I white heat embossed the leafy wreath from Eucalyptus Fantasy stamp set on some vellum and die cut it using coordinating die. I colored the wreath on the back of the vellum using some alcohol markers in the same colors like the background panel.

The sentiment is from Floral Cluster stamp set. I stamped it in black on some white cardstock and fussy cut it. I foam mounted the background panel on a white cardbase, added the vellum wreath on it using some clear foam adhesives and added the sentiment. I finished off the card by scattering some tiny clear sequins on the wreath.

In my third card I used the Rainbow with Splatters washi tape and the small floral elements from Painted Florals washi tape.

Here I used red-green panel I made by adhering Rainbow with Splatters washi tape on white cardstock. Again I cut various circles from the panel using Braided Circles die set. I then die cut the floral elements from Painted Florals washi tape using coordinating dies.

I cut some vellum hexagon to give the floral clusters their mat to sit on. I used Basic Label Frames die set. I gold heat embossed the sides of the hexagon, and gold heat embossed the sentiment from Just a Little Lovely stamp set on the smallest hexagon.

Now I started assembling the card by adhering the background panel on a black cardbase. The hexagons were then foam mounted and the floral clusters were added on them using some foam adhesives.

Next rainbow card is showing the third panel from Rainbow with Splatters washi tape as its background.

The big floral cluster is from Floral Cluster stamp set. I white heat embossed the image on a watercolor paper panel and colored it using color burst powders in rainbow colors. I then die cut the image and set it aside.

I cut both sides of the background panel using scalloped edge die from Simple Edgers die set from this release. I adhered the panel on a white cardbase and added the floral image on it using some foam adhesives.

The sentiment is from Blooming Bouquet stamp set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock. I made two more strips using Matte Gold washi tape and Watercolor Fantasy washi tape, added them first to the card and foam mounted the sentiment strip. To finish off I scattered some clear iridescent sequins.

For my last card I used a panel I prepared using Adorable Frames washi tape.

To this card I simply added some floral cluster and leafy elements which were die cut from Painted Florals washi tape and Eucalyptus Fantasy washi tape.

The sentiment is from Floral Cluster stamp set. First I stamped the "grateful" in black and heat embossed it in gold. I fussy cut the sentiment and added it to the card using foam adhesives. The sentiment strip was cut from a panel I watercolored in the colors I picked from the background panel. The sentiment was stamped in brown. I glued the middle part of the strip directly on the card and slightly curled the fishtail ends up.

Some iridescent sequins were my finishing touch for this card.

That's all from my side! Hope I was able to showcase the beauty of the new washi tapes and coordinating stamp and die sets!

Seize the Birthday #168 - Cover the Card

Hello and happy Thursday!

Today a new challenge has started at Seize the Birthday! My lovely team mate Ashwini has chosen a Toppings option for you and her choice is

Cover the Card

It could be a hard one for CAS card makers :) but it's a great chance to practice some background stamping ! So I hope you will give it a try! As always you may enter any birthday themed projects in our gallery, if you want to!

I used Rose Wonderland Print stamp set by The Ton. It is a three step floral cluster image in a size of 3.75 x 4 inches. As it is smaller than the A2 size I stamped it two times and added some solo elements to fill the gaps.

I stamped the image in Warm Hazelnut and Coraline hybrid ink to show orange-brown color combination. I skipped the third layer which fills the white part of the flowers. I stamped them on a separate white panel again. I narrowed down both panels using Double Stitched Rectangle die.

Next I adhered the panels on a dark brown cardbase. I adhered the upper part upside down. The sentiment was cut using Bold General Greeting word plate die from some dark brown cardstock from which I used the negative panel for my card. I made it in a wide strip. One piece of stamped panel was added underneath the sentiment strip which was foam mounted on the card. "happy birthday" is from Happy Florals set by The Ton. I stamped it in Aspen Cocoa directly on the stamped panel.

I added three cream colored flat back pearls and the card was finished!

Thank you so much for looking my card today! Hope you'll join us!

Please hop over to Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our surprise party guest Linda, before you go creating!

Happy Crafting!

Guest Designing at CAS Watercolor Challenge - Reminder

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog!

Today I want to share a card I made for the current CAS Watercolor June Challenge where I'm luckily guest designing this month!  The theme for this month is Something Blue and you have time to enter till June. 24th.

For the reminder GD card I used the Circle of Leaves die by SSS to make a quite simple CAS card.

I started off by creating the blue background panel. I sprinkled various blue shades of Brusho powders on some Canson Mixed Media paper panel and spritzed pearlized water on it. After the panel was dry I added clear water splatters, dabbed them off with a paper towel to add some texture to the background. I also splattered white opaque ink and let it dry.

I cut Circle of Leaves from a textured white cardstock panel, stamped the sentiment from Special Sentiments (30-574) by Penny Black in Sapphire (Altenew) on it and foam mounted the panel on the cardbase on which I adhered the blue background panel.

That's it from my side. Please hop over to CAS Watercolor Challenge blog for more inspiration from the amazing DT members!

Thanks to CAS Watercolor challenge team for the chance to be guest designing!
Thanks for looking!
Have a great one!

The Flower Challenge #33 - Focus on Background Stamping - Reminder

Hello!

It's time for a reminder post for the latest Flower Challenge #33 - Focus on Background Stamping!
We have a prize for a lucky winner this month! Please check it out at The Flower Challenge blog!

I've created a panel using floral elements from Happy Florals stamp set by The Ton.

I started off by stamping the big flowers in Hollywood Star and Cosmopolitan Pink hybrid ink. I then stamped the orange flowers in Peach Blossom and Coraline hybrid. The leaves of the flowers were stamped in Crystal Pewter. I stamped the berries in Plum Wine and some extra leaves in Soft Garden.

After the stamping was done I cut the panel using the largest Double Stitched Rectangle die to add some finishing touch and cut the sentiment "hugs" using Love and Hugs word plate die (The Ton) from the panel. I cut hugs once more from some white fun foam. I mounted the panel on a white cardbase and added the sentiment raised with the fun foam layer into the place.

"sending" was cut using Love and Hugs word plate die as well from some Adhesive Glitter Paper glossy fine silver and some white cardstock. I stacked them together and added it on "hugs"
To finish off I added a silver glitter strip to both sides of "hugs" and some Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Please don't forget to visit The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates and our special guest Deepti from Dee's Art Utopia!

I'd love to see your floral background projects in our gallery!!!

Have a wonderful day!
