Dreaming - Penny Black

Hello everyone! I have three cards to share with you today!

I had the pleasure to play with the new stamp and die collection, called Dreaming by Penny Black. It is a lovely release again which includes beautiful floral stamps, cute critters and gorgeous scenic stamps.

My plan was actually to make a floral card using Flower Collection (30-575) stamp set. But it ended up with three cards :).

Let's take a look at my first card.
I was coloring this floral cluster from Flower Collection(30-575) set during the latest 30 day coloring challenge  hosted by Kathy Racoosin. I started first with the black and white flowers and added the red flowers as my focal element.

I stamped the floral cluster two times on a white cardstock panel in gray Memento ink. I colored the image using C Copic colors and added details using Polychromos pencils also in cool gray. I then splattered gold watercolor on the panel and let it dry.

I then stamped the floral cluster once more on a separate white cardstock. I used pink ink for the flowers and light green ink for the leaves. I colored the image using Copic markers again. For the flowers I used some red colors and added a little bit of orange. I drew the stamen using a thin black liner and fussy cut the image and set it aside.

I cut the base panel with black and white florals using the largest die from Leaf Stitched Frames (51-552)die set and mounted it flat on a kraft cardbase. To add the red flowers I cut a circle using a die from Stitched Circles (51-551) die set from a kraft cardstock. As the faux stitch appears outside of the circle I could get a circle without the stitch pattern. I gold heat embossed the edge of the panel to add some accents.

I adhered the floral cluster on the circle piece and foam mounted it on the card. The sentiment is from Hedgie Harmony(30-589) set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and added it to the card.

Next card is featuring Hedgie Harmony (30-589) set and Stitched Circles(51-551) die set

As I cut a circle from a kraft cardstock for the first card, an idea came into my mind. I cut the same circle two more times on a A2 sized panel of kraft cardstock so that I have a panel with three stitched circles.

I stamped three hedgehogs from Hedgie Harmony(30-589) on a A2 sized white cardstock panel in black Memento ink. I used the kraft panel with three windows as my guide to place the stamps. I then colored the hedgehogs and instruments using Copic markers. I ink blended around the images in yellow, blue and pink respectively using Distress inks.

I colored a strip of white cardstock using Copic markers in green and cut it using one of the Garden Edgers (51-549) die set. I adhered the grass behind the circle windows and foam mounted the front panel on the card. The sentiment from the same stamp set was white heat embossed on a strip of cardstock which I colored in ombre green using Copic markers. To finish off I scattered some shiny sequins.

The last card is showcasing a cute bear and a hedgehog celebrating someone's birthday. They are from the adorable Birthday BFF set (30-587).

I started off by stamping the image on a watercolor paper in black pigment ink. I watercolored the hedgehog and the polar bear. To make the white bear pop, I added watercolor wash in the background and splattered white ink on it.

I cut the front panel using Leaf Stitched Frames (51-552) die set and Stitched Circles(51-551) die set from some textured white cardstock and foam mounted it on the card on which I adhered the colored image.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I made a 3D banner for the sentiment with some white cardstock. The banner doesn't look perfect but still cute :). Some iridescent sequins were my finishing touch for this card.

So that's all for today.

Thank you so much for staying with me through this long post. Hope you enjoyed looking my cards :)!

Have a wonderful day!

The Flower Challenge #34 - Pretty Pastels Reminder

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

It's time for a reminder post for the current Flower Challenge! This month we're having a theme which many of you are loving - PRETTY PASTELS.

We have a prize this month. The lovely Bev from Uniko is sponsoring us and giving away one of her beautiful stamp sets (any in stock stamp set and any value) to our lucky winner.

I've colored the bouquet from Blooming Bouquet by Pinkfresh studio using Prismacolor and Luminance colored pencils in pastel colors.

I stamped the bouquet on Almond Cream cardstock in white pigment ink to do no line coloring using colored pencils. After coloring was done, I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.  I like the Almond Cream color as it's brighter and warmer than kraft cardstock.

I also stamped and colored the same bouquet on a separate Almond cream cardstock panel and splattered white opaque ink on it. To add the sentiment I decided to make a extra panel cutting the bottom using one of Lacey Edgers dies. The sentiment is from Blooming Bouquet set as well. I gold heat embossed the small words and stamped the big "You" in black and pink in ombre style. On the top border of the panel I adhered the Matte Gold washi tape to add golden accent.

I adhered the Almond Cream panel with the bouquet and white splatters on a white top fold cardbase and foam mounted the panel with the sentiment on it. I then added the colored bouquet onto the card. To finish off I scattered small pink and gold sequins.

That's it! Hope you enjoyed looking my card today!

Seize the Birthday #169 - Sunshine

Hello everyone! Hope July started off great for you all!

Today is Seize the Birthday Thursday again. Our Toppings option for next fortnight, chosen by our lovely boss Nancy, is SUNSHINE. As always you may enter any birthday themed projects into our gallery, if you want!

I used two digital SVG cut files by The Ton for this card.

I cut Crashing Wave Layering Coverplate cut file and Sunburst Coverplate cut file from some white cardstock using my Cricut.
I then ink blended the sky and the sun in Broken China, Salty Ocean and Mustard Seed on the white cardbase. I used the Sunburst Coverplate as a stencil and applied Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste on the cardbase to add the sparkly sunray.

I then inked the waves while masking the outer frame, so that it stays white. I used Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feather for the base layer and Salty Ocean for the second layer of the wave. I adhered two layers together and applied the glimmer paste through the Sunburst stencil on the wave.

After all the paste was completely dry, I adhered the wave coverplate on the cardbase. The sentiments come from Palm Tree and Mototorcycle Boss set by The Ton. I ink blended two strips in yellow-orange and blue green ombre and white heat embossed the sentiments on them. To finish off I drew three sea gulls.

Hope you'll play along and share some birthday cards featuring sunshine with us!

The Flower Challenge #34 - Pretty Pastels

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great week so far!
It's time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge! The theme for the month of July is PRETTY PASTELS.

We have another PRIZE to give away this month too. The lovely Bev from Uniko is sponsoring us this time and giving away one of her beautiful stamp sets (any in stock stamp set and any value) to our lucky winner.

I used Originally Organic stamp set by Uniko for my DT card.

I stamped the floral elements from the stamp set on tanned gray cardstock in white pigment ink. I then colored the image using Luminance colored pencils. After done with coloring I gold heat embossed the image with the help of MISTI tool.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was white heat embossed on the colored panel. I then cut the panel using Distressed Edges die by Spellbinders. I foam mounted the colored panel on a gray cardbase and the card was finished!

Hope you will play along with us! I'd love to see your pretty pastel creations in the gallery!
