The Flower Challenge #35 - Use Your Favorite Flower - Reminder

Hello everyone!
It's a busy day on my blog today :)!
I'm popping in to share my reminder card for the latest Flower Challenge! We are asked to use our favorite flowers on our projects.

I love poppies. There are so many beautiful poppy stamp sets out there and some of which are also in my stash. But this time I wanted to draw some by myself. I searched for some poppy images on Pinterest to use them as my reference.

I sketched the poppies on a watercolor paper panel and colored it using Color Burst. I didn't pay much attention to the details. After the coloring was done I splattered red watercolor and white opaque ink on the image. I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and stamped the sentiment from Message Me set by Clearly Besotted on the panel in black pigment ink. I clear heat embossed the sentiment and foam mounted the panel on a pale pink cardbase.

Clearly Besotted is sponsoring our challenge this month! Please hop over to The Flower Challenge blog to get more inspiration from my team mates and for more details about the prize!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you'll play along with us!
Have a beautiful day!

Kids Summer Vacation Callenge

Hello everyone!

Today I want to share a cute mermaid card which my little girl Yerin (7yo) has made for Simon Says Stamp Kids Summer Vacation Challenge. She loves giving me helping hands when I make cards and enjoys making her own cards in my craft room.

She chose one of her favorite stamps, Mermazing by MFT. She did stamping, masking and coloring all by herself to create the one layer underwater scene.  As the theme of the challenge is "Anything Goes with Sparkle", she used glitter gel pen along with colored pencils to color the image and lots of Crystal Stickles went over the mermaid and sea critters! She even traced the sentiment with a blue glitter gel pen to add sparkle :) !!!
The only part I helped her was placing the sequins as a finishing touch!

She was so proud of her mermaid card !!!

Thanks for looking :)!

Calm Waters - Penny Black

Hello friends! Hope your new week is off to a great start!

I'm starting the new week with a scenic card made using Calm Waters (40-693) cling stamp by Penny Black. Penny Black released some gorgeous scenic stamp designs recently. Jill Foster makes stunning cards using the scenic cling stamps and I'm always in awe of her creations. After watching some of her video tutorials I pulled out Calm Waters (40-693) set and made this card :) !

I started off by stamping the scene on a alcohol ink cardstock using Memento inks. I used Memento Dew Drop ink pads to ink up the scene partially in different colors. I then colored the image using alcohol inks which was diluted with rubbing alcohol. I used a small brush to add colors on the panel.

After the panel was completely dry I gold heat embossed the boats and the bottom parts of the bush and the trees. I then cut a circle using one of the Stitched Circles (51-551) die set. To add the sentiment I stamped the scene on a white cardbase in the same colors and stamped the sentiment from Destination Sentiments (30-590) set in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. Lastly I foam mounted the colored panel on the cardbase.

It's not that gorgeous like Jill's cards but I'm happy I gave this a try! Hope you liked looking my card!

I'm entering this to Simon Says Stamp: Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!
Have a wonderful week!

The Flower Challenge #35 - Use Your Favorite Flower

Hello everyone! Are you having a wonderful weekend?

It's time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge! So I'm popping in with my DT card today :)! Our theme for August is "Use Your Favorite Flower"!

We have another PRIZE to give away to our lucky winner again this month. The lovely Michelle  from Clearly Besotted is sponsoring us and giving away an e-gift card worth £20.

I made a CAS card using Merci Beaucoup set by Clearly Besotted. Roses are not my most favorite flowers but who doesn't love roses!

I stamped the rose on a solar white panel in black Memento ink and colored it using Copic markers. I colored the flower in R22, 29,46 and 89 and the leaves in YG 05, 07, 09 and 17.
I stamped the same image on a separate cardstock and cut the image out with ScanNCut. I cut the panel using Swirly Stitches die by Penny Black and dry embossed it with Wave EF.

I stamped the sentiment from Message Me set in black on the front panel. I adhered the colored rose on the gray cardbase and foam mounted the front panel on it.

I finished off the card by covering the roses with glitter using clear glitter pen.

That's it! Now it's your turn to make cards featuring your favorite flowers and play along with us at The Flower challenge!

Please visit The Flower challenge blog for more inspiration from my lovely team mates and our guest designer Therese Calvird from  Lost in Paper !!! I love Therese's cards! So clean, fresh and unique!!!

Thank you so much for looking!

Seize the Birthday #171 - Flowers

Hello everyone! Can you believe it's already August!!! Time really flies!

Today is again Seize the Birthday Thursday! For this challenge my lovely team mate Vicki chose FLOWERS as Toppings Option for us!

I made a card using digital cut files by The Ton. I combined Floral Mom Coverplate SVG cut file with Basic Roses SVG cut file.

I removed the sentiment mom which was in the Floral Mom Coverplate SVG cut file and added a rose from Basic Roses SVG cut file to the empty space. I then cut the coverplate image from a heavyweight white cardstock using my Cricut.

I ink blended Distress Oxide inks in rainbow colors on my cardbase, splattered clear water and dabbed it off with a paper towel to add some texture and added white splatters too. I adhered the coverplate image on the cardbase. The small inner pieces of the flowers and leaves were colored using Copic markers and inlaid to their places.
The sentiment is from Party Fans set (The Ton). I white heat embossed it on a strip of white cardstock on which I ink blended in purple to green ombre.

I finished off the card by adding some clear iridescent sequins.

Now it's your turn to play along! As you know you may enter any birthday themed projects into our gallery if you aren't a Topping kinda person :)!

Please hop over to Seize the Birthday blog to get more inspiration from my team mates and our surprise party guest Su Mohr from Aromas and Art!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
